It's like a miracle!
Okay so I thought I was going to wait a week or two before writing this review but I got the gloves last night and this morning my hands feel so good I just have to sing praises. Background: I have had carpal tunnel since I was 11 years old. It's so bad you can actually see the tending bumping up under the skin at the wrist. I also have OA in both hands due to a lifetime of fractures and broken bones, and tendonitis in both thumbs and the middle finger of my left hand. In short ... my hands are in bad shape. I crochet, knit, paint, draw, I'm a gamer, a computer programmer, and in my teens I was a Wal-Mart cashier. Pretty much all of the things that cause hand pain, I do or have done for long periods of time. My hands go numb all the time. Washing dishes, sleeping, knitting, using a mouse, etc. Most of the time when they go numb the feeling doesn't come back simply by dangling them below heart level and letting the blood back in, they have to be massaged vigorously to get the blood through them and sensation returns slowly and painfully. So .,.. back to the gloves. I've tried compression gloves and braces before but most of the time they just cause hot spots, restrict my ability to do the things I love, and the pain returns as soon as I take them off. I got these gloves last night and put them on as soon as they arrived. I've been working on a very big knitting project pretty much non-stop for weeks so my hands were in brutal shape by the time the gloves got here. Right off the bat I noticed more support for my thumbs but my hands were still hurting so I sat for about 10-15 minutes and watched TV with both hands resting in my lap. After this short period of time I picked my knitting up and started working on it again. It felt like I'd taken a break for a few hours rather than 10-15 minutes. My hands weren't like brand new yet but there was definitely surprising improvement. I ended up wearing the gloves for several hours, even after I'd put the knitting away for the night, and finally took them off when I realized I was starting to get a sore spot on my right hand between my ring finger and my pinky. I went to bed last night and woke up this morning in shock. My hands didn't wake me up ONCE during the night. NOT ONCE. No tingling, no falling asleep, no hurting, no cramping. When I woke up this morning they both had full feeling and range of motion. I didn't have to massage them, run them under warm water, do my carpal tunnel stretches to loosen them up ... nothing. SHOCK AND AWE! So Day One's Impression: THESE GLOVES ARE A FREAKING MIRCALE!

My second pair
Sometimes I knitting for several hours a day. At times my wrist and thumbs get sore. These gloves help to massage away the pain. The first pair I owned lasted over 10 years. I frequently wear them inside out so that the seam does not irritate my hands.

The gloves fit, but they cut off the circulation to all of my fingers!
I found the information for the right measurements and since my palm is right in the middle of the "large" size, that is what I got. When I put them on, they fit fine across the palm and around the wrist, but the holes for the fingers and thumb are oddly placed so they cut into the base of all of them and cut off the circulation to all my fingers. The gloves appear to both be ambidextrous, so I tried both gloves on both hands but got the same result no matter what. I am very disappointed because I have heard rave reviews from my crafting friends about these gloves, but my experience was VASTLY different from theirs. Not only are the holes placed weird, it is strange that there are separate holes for the thumb, pinkie, and index fingers, but the ring and middle fingers go into the same hole.

Waste of money
While the concept of these is good, the actual product was hugely disappointing for a couple of reasons. For one thing, they don't come up high enough to really provide support to the knuckle area, which is where I need it. But also, they don't have four openings for your fingers, only three, and that crams the two middle fingers together. It's very annoying and I ended up buying a better pair. I wouldn't buy these again and can't recommend them to others.

I love these gloves because the provide excellent relief for the aching palms of my hands, and leave my fingers free for normal function. The material is durable, holding it compression strength after lots of wash cycles. The only reason I didn't give this product 5 stars is the stitching came loose on one of the gloves, and I had to repair that problem.

good compression type gloves
bought these for my mom to use while crocheting. They helped her hands a lot but are a little snug so maybe buy one size larger than you think
