Easy to use, works great!

Our old one broke just before Thanksgiving so I ordered this one and it was just perfect for separating the fat from the broth. The gravy I made was awesome and grease free.

I do love these fat separators!

My old fat separator, which was virtually identical to this one, finally cracked after God only knows how many years! It did not owe anyone anything, and its funeral was well attended! I had a new one ordered the same day. The cost was great. It was shipped quickly, packaged well, and arrived safely. It is heavy plastic, very sturdy, and easy to use. It is easy to clean as long as you have ho water and a little brush to clean the spout--I do have a brush! I have used it a lot since purchase, especially over Thanksgiving. It works sooo well and it is very easy to pour off the fat, saving the drippings. I like the smaller size. I also have a bigger one, but end up using this smaller sized one much more often. I can recommend it without reservation.

Not dishwasher safe.

Don't pour very hot liquids in this and if you are not willing to hand wash don't buy.

Cut the Fat

The separator requires a strainer to produce a clearly defined suspension non polar fat over the flavorful polar juices. Just enough fat to thicken polar juices.

Didn't work as expected

I used one of these cups years ago for gravy and bought one to separate sesame seed oil from the ground up bits. Not the intended use of course. It would have worked better if the spout was a bit shorter than the cup. When I tried to pour, liquid come from both locations (spout and cup)

This item works but it’s to small.

I like this product but wish it was about 3 cup size and the spout was a little bigger. When I pour out the gravy or broth, seasoning like onion and celery clog it up and I have to use a straw or chopstick to unclog it.

Definitely a must have!

Soups are a weekly food during cooler,winter months in my household.the spices,vegetables & herbs make my soups so tasty and the choice of meat,weather it be beef or poultry.And the broth is where all the flavor is. That’s where I put my fat separator to use.Any grease floating on top of soup is skimmed into cup and then easily poured back into pot with the grease staying in bottom of separator for easy removal. It’s been my secret for years,buy yours today,you won’t regret it and wonder how you ever managed without it!

Great product

I love this Gravy/Fat Poultry, Separator, 1.5-Cup. It is useful in making gravy from scratch. My mother used one when I was younger, and I have been trying to but one for a long time. It is a solid cup, not flimsy. If you like making gravy, I would recommend this cup.

The ad said it was glass but it is plastic.

$16 was too much for this plastic fat separator.

Heat shatters the bottom every time

I've been through 2 of these now, much to my regret. When you pour hot liquid into it, the bottom cracks. It's way overpriced and was obviously not tested for its intended purpose

Very helpful

Turkey gravy was easier to separate the oil from the gravy ... but difficult to separate oil from tomato sauce using the cup. .. I like the cup very much
