Best Masher
This is the best and most sturdy potato masher that I’ve owned, and I love the fact that it can convert into a flat form for easier storage.

Great masher, just don't smash too hard
I love that it folds to store in the drawer. That's enough to earn five stars from me. Easy to open close, and the masher is just rounded enough to be able to get the "corners" of a bowl or pot. Lost a star due to sturdyness. You can feel it buckle slightly of you try to mash down too hard. It's held up well though.

Love the quality, the mash and ingenious storage forethought
I can't imagine anyone who enjoys making mashed foods not celebrating this product as the best and last masher they will ever need or use.

Just What I Needed
Maybe my family is strange, but we don't like egg whites and we don't like undercooked eggs. We do, however, like hardboiled eggs crushed like egg salad with butter and spices. Getting the pieces small enough is a real tough job with just a fork, but this thing made making breakfast so easy it was child's play. I also bought this for making guacamole. Currently, I use the other kind of potato masher to start the guacamole off and then switch to pestle to finish it up. Half the time, the thing slips and my fruit goes flying out of the bowl. Now, with this, my guacamole will be simple to make and no more flying avocadoes! Yesterday, after I showed my newest toy to my son, I made beans in my Instant Pot and realized I could mash them easily with this. Wow! That was so easy. My beans turned out perfect, without even needing to get out the immersion blender. Perfect beans!

It's Not Just a Masher. It's Handy, Too
This flip masher has been just that - a flipping masher. I took a pot full of cooked potatoes and started mashing them with ease. The little round holes act like large ricers and do the job we all expect. After mashing the potatoes, I clean the masher, dry it and flip the head so that it fits flat in the storage drawer. That is not much, but it sure is handy and it keeps the other tools from getting stuck in the masher face. If that were not good enough, the handle is ergonomically suitable for most hands. Before I forget, the masher is held in place by the two braces on either side of the fork and when it is time to put it in the drawer a slight squeeze on the side permits the masher head to flatten out and stand ready for the next go around. Overall, a nice masher that is full of features. If I could just get it to mash on its own.

Fits in drawer
It does the job well. I love you can fold the blade to store in drawer. Very sturdy. Handle cap was lost in the dishwasher

Get One and Let's Do the Mash
Works great. As shown, it collapses for easier storage in a drawer. I was a little wary that it would collapse if I pushed to hard into a big bowl of spuds, but it locks open and closed so no accidental folding. The handle is made of smooth plastic but the shape ensures you get a good grip for mashing. The diameter is nice - large enough to mash a pot of potatoes and small enough to fit in a small bowl of cooked apples that I'm turning into applesauce. I even like that the holes in the masher are round. My last masher had square holes and that gave me tons of lumps whereas this one doesn't. Overall, a great buy if you need a masher.

When I don't want to use my ricer or food processor . . .
Product is very well made. The pivoting mechanism is sturdy and well thought out. It is easily stored in a drawer with spatulas, etc. I like the round holes since it mashes food up like a ricer. The only reasons why I do not give a full five stars are that I have to press forcefully in order to flip/pivot the masher part and that, since the disc used to mash is curved, it may slip when pushing at an angle. I do, however, like the product and will keep using it.

Move Over “ Rosie Rosle ”.
After reading all 17 reviews about this product on Amazon.com, I was honestly impressed. All 17 reviews except for one reviewer gave this interesting product a { Five Star Rating } with the one reviewer giving it a Four Star Rating but at the same time submitting only excellent comments in there Four Star Rating ? When the masher arrived and I opened the box, I new I had made the correct decision. This Potato Masher is a very solid kitchen tool and the construction is all stainless steel with a nicely shaped plastic handle that feels very comfortable and secure in your hand. The one I ordered was the ( Brown ). It’s actually a Dark / Chocolate Brown and in dull light appears as flat black. It’s also available in ( Green ) for those who prefer a Lime Green handle. It also should be noted that the written descriptions you read about this product online fail to mention the fact that the swivel head actually locks into place when using it as a masher and also locks to either side for storage. To swivel the head, you simply apply a little pressure simultaneously on both side supports close to the stainless steel rivets. Just squeeze inwards slightly and it unlocks the head. Once triggered, the brilliantly designed swivel mechanism allows you to easily swing the head to either side moving it into a flatter position for storage in your kitchen drawer. It locks in all three positions ( Left / right / centre ). This is one kitchen tool that cleans up super fast with absolutely no effort involved. Here are all the exact measurements of this masher in inches. The length is 10.25 inches with the head in place for mashing. It is 11 inches in length with the head in position for storage. The mashing head diameter is 3.8 inches at the rivets and 3.5 inches in diameter. The head is a convex shape { slightly rounded on the outside }. The two sides ( Frame ) are tapered and are both 1 inch in width at there widest point at the rivets. The chocolate brown handle is 5 inches long and 1.5 inches in diameter at its widest point. It’s very light and only weighs about .4 pounds or 174 grams. On the outside of one fame is marked “Prepara” and on the inside of the other frame is marked - patent 7967230. My favorite masher before the “Prepara”, was the “ Rosie Rosle # 12780 “. It’s still available at Amazn.com. and retails for about $50. The “ Rosie Rosle ” masher is made entirely of quality stainless steel and uses small round holes like the “Prepara”, and mashes potatoes to perfection with ease. The head on the “ Rosie Rosle “ masher does not swivel for storage. Prior to the above I owned the “All-Clad” masher that cost more than $70. It was all stainless steel and looked super great but the performance was poor. The “Slotted “ head design was the problem. Always buy a potato masher that has a Stainless Steel Head with round or square holes ( Not Slots ). The “ All-Clad “ is now my favorite gardening tool for transplanting flowers. See “ Google Images ” for the design. What makes the “Prepara” masher perform so well is the ratio of stainless steel material that is in between the round holes. What doesn’t go through the holes the solid part squashes and this combination of textures works very well in producing the finished product. The same principal applies to the “Rosie Rosle “ masher. It’s the ratio of holes plus the solid material on the face of the head that gives both these mashers a definitive edge over all other potato mashers on the market. The curved face of the head of the “ Prepara “ now adds a “ third dimension ” of texture to the mashed potatoes and that gives it a slight advantage over the “ Rosie Rosle “. I personally recommend the “Prepara” Potato Masher to all. This is very well made masher with an ingenious design and is a solid mashing tool. It mashes potatoes to a perfection with ease and is an equal to the current “ Top Rated “ potato masher the “Rosie Rosle” at less than half it’s cost. So congratulations to all at “ Prepara “. At the modest retail price of $20 to $25 your potato masher is about to become a sensational success around the world. It’s truly a well deserved recognition for this product.

Fabulous Folding Masher
This is the best potato masher I have ever owned. It folds flat and fits in the drawer. It cleans in the dishwasher. My old mashers always fell out of the cupboard onto the floor.
