PERFECT FILTER SYSTEM for Loose Tea
I'm very pleased with these Finum Medium Tea Filters!! I've read the other reviews and understand where they're coming from. When these filters collapse on itself (when pouring water into them) - it's very tricky to reopen them - and the tea leaves start leaking out of the filter through the top. Frustrating... However,.... My review: I love these filters because they are not only strong but also wide at the bottom - this allows the full expansion of the tea leaves. Some filters out there are too narrow at the bottom and in my opinion doesn't allow for the full expansion of the tea leaves. Also, these filters are quite strong. I like to squeeze the tea filter with the tea leaves between infusions and these hold up extremely well no matter what temperature I use (doesn't disintegrate). I've used other filters that broke open after the 2nd infusion - very frustrating (waste of money). I'm so glad to find these bc they renewed my faith in tea filters!! :D It also helps to know that these are "green" - no dioxins were used - only oxygen to "bleach" these white and the ease of throwing them into a compost/landscape pile - makes it an easy choice. :D Give these a try!! Review done :D Below is just an Extra overview on how I use the filters: To help get the most of these tea filters: I open the tea filter and fluff the bottom open with my fingers (finger scissor kick). Then I poke a chopstick about 1/4" from the top and 1/4" Off centered to the right (right handed). This may seem odd but the "Off centered" poke allows a bigger area to pour water through and prevents the filter collapsing on itself. If you're left handed - poke the chopstick about 1/4" Off centered to the left. For some reason if it's poked right in the middle/center - the filter has more of a propensity to collapse onto itself and leak tea leaves into the brew. After you poke the chopstick into the filter - open the filter wide as its laying in your tea mug. When the water comes to temperature - hold the filter corner closest to you and carefully pour the water into the tea bag. The direct contact between the tea leaves and poured water helps to create a full infusion and maximum tea leaf expansion (rather than just pouring the water into the mug then placing the tea bag into the water). Afterwards I use a tea press (tongs) and carefully squeeze the tea filter/tea leaves to get the most of each infusion. I place the tea filter/tea leaves in another mug. The chopstick will keep it suspended in the other mug for clean safe keeping until the next infusion. I use one tea filter for about 2 - 3 infusions depending on the type of tea. Between each infusion the filter is squeezed with a tea press - these Finum's hold up really well! Like I mentioned earlier, I've had other tea filters that busted open after the 2nd squeeze. Again, overall, very pleased with these Finum Medium filters!! Give them a try! :D

Good quality filter ideal for cups of tea or cups of coffee
Great for loose tea and also when pouring coffee from a French press coffee maker into a mug to filter out grinds and excess sludge. Cute little plastic stick can be used to hang filter from it - you just stick it through the filter near the top and, if you’re making tea, hang it on the rim of cup, or can hold the stick with the filter above the cup. I use a French coffee press and have notice that even with pouring with the press filter in place, coffee grounds sediment and a few grounds can get into my coffee cup and looks like sludge when you get towards the bottom of the cup. Not wanting to drink this I decided to try using these disposable tea filters to pour my coffee through into a cup - and it works beautifully in filtering out everything mentioned above although when doing what I’m doing (unless you have a very deep cup), I hold the filter on it’s little stick ABOVE the coffee in the cup as it filters through vs hanging the stick with the filter on the sides of the cup so the tea leaves can steep in hot water. Is very effective. Nice quality filters are small and designed for individual cup of tea although could potentially work on small/narrow rimmed tea pots as well.

LOVE THESE FILTERS -- Work perfectly if used as shown!
These tea filters with filter stick work perfectly! I've been using them for a long time (years) and am very surprised by some of the negative reviews. I've tried about every option out there and these work the best for me. I believe that the spillage problem some have had is because they haven't opened up the filter to allow the little notches to hold each side of the filter bag in place. There is no spilling over if you use the product as shown on the box. Six other comments/suggestions: 1) I found that I make less of a mess when I fill the filter bag with tea leaves before attaching the stick, not afterwards; 2) There is no need to discard the sticks after finishing up the box -- you can accumulate them so that multiple people can make tea at once; 3) The size of the stick's large indentation is ample for placing on the rim of even my largest mug; 4) The size of these filters is for a small cup; I don't mind the filter not touching the bottom of my cup and have found no difference in how my tea steeps if it doesn't, but when I am making tea in a deeper mug, I sometimes use this same stick with one of my longer filters -- It work's the same with all filters with no spillage; 5) The sticks are also sold separately, so if you don't want the small filters, simply buy the sticks separately to use with a larger filter; and 6) I've found so many other uses for these sticks and filters, such as steeping spices in a cup of chicken broth for extra flavor before drinking, and using it to filter solids from a liquid.

Very small. Don’t lose the stick!
Note that these bags are small and absolutely require the included stick to suspend the tea-filled bag in hot water in your tea cup to work. Sadly, I’ve lost that designer stick less than halfway through the box of teabags and have had to improvise. On the plus side, the bags do not stick together, are easy to dispense and to fill, and they don’t contribute any taste to tea. Note the small size, though.

No More Floaters!
I prefer loose tea, but have been frustrated with little leaves and bits left behind with the various gadgets I've tried--until these bags. NOTHING escapes and I have total control over the process. I've been buying these now for about a year, and I love them. I have the small size for one cup/mug of tea, and I have the larger size for making a travelling mug/thermos of tea. It's great.

Delivery problems
The product itself I am delighted with , a very easy way to make a single cup of coffee . However in the past six months I have twice ordered more packages neither of which have ever arrived . Getting a refund has not been an issue but I don’t know where the delivery problem lies . It is frustrating and disappointing as I am reluctant to order again .
