So far, so good with this. It was very easy to install and I can already tell that my plants are loving being watered with my garden hose attached to it. I ran a small experiment where I solely watered my garden and other trees/plants with this attached to the hose. A few weeks later, I turned on my sprinklers. Within a day, I started getting spots on my tomato plants leaves. I turned off the sprinklers for a few days and just watered with the GardenPure Water Filter and my plants once again started looking much more healthy. I am so please with the results that I am going to purchase another one for my front yard and contact my plumber to see if he can hook a filter up to my sprinkler system. I would also like to mention that there is no leaking coming from the filter. I have it directly attached to a 4-way bib attachment and the other end goes to my garden hose. Because there are absolutely no leaks, I just leave my faucet bib on and grab the hose and water anytime I want to. Soon, I will be installing a drip system for my plant beds and may see if I can use a splitter on the other end of the filter...one for the hose and the other for the drip system. Wish me luck and happy gardening!!!

Works exactly as designed, at a good price, but with limitation on total gallon throughput before replacement.
This filter effectively removes that vast majority of chlorine and chloramines from your water. Very important if you are using city water on your plants and beds. Chlorine is BAD for plants, and kills beneficial bacteria in the soil. Adding this to your water hose (standard fittings) will remove the chlorine and you can water your plants and flowers without the fear of killing them, and/or the microbes that keep them healthy. This particular filter from Camco is more affordable than many other similar on the market, but at a price. This unit will probably need replacement more often than other filters, and many have found it completely effective only up to around 1000 gallons before needing to be changed. At double the price, there are excellent filters that will filter 30,000 gallons before replacement. That being said, if you don't have a large garden, and only have minimal watering requirements, then save your money and buy this one! It Works!

Clean up your hard water
We have REALLY hard water here in the desert southwest. Many plants don't do well with it, I suspect it was the cause of my mom's tomato plants failing (all the supplements & additives she tried, and the big issue was something that needed removing- chloramine in the municipal water, related to bleach, kills the beneficial bacteria in the soil). I got her one of these filters for her remaining garden plants (her roses are improving) and one for me to water my geraniums, which are doing well. The filter easily fits on the outside faucet; the fitting is sturdy plastic (like the rest of the canister) so take care not to overtighten over the brass. The hose then attaches to the end of the filter, which sticks out about a foot further from the faucet. I bought spare rubber washers in case I needed them.

Came on time and properly packed. Used it immediately outdoors and screwed it on to my tap and used a spliter at the bottom to divert it to 2 locations on my garden. Have been using it for past 2 weeks and have no issue with product quality. Only wish is that the manufacturer can also attach some proof of independent testing on whether the product is filtering all the harmfull stuff and chlorine. And also should state how long this filter last. Plants are growing normally. Maybe its too earlier to see the benefits. I am based in Middle East where the water source is from sea which goes through desalination process and the water quality based on appearance and taste looks good. Would give a 5 star if there was some independent certification.

Oh what a difference
I use this filter for my garden hose in my organic garden. The difference is undeniably noticeable in my garden when I filter out the chlorine and chloramine that kills the important microbes in the soil. This along with a good compost tea and my garden is overgrown with massive vegis and large beautiful figs on my fig trees. My Valencia oranges are as big as grapefruit. Never forget how important your soil microbiology is.

A filter is a filter...
I bought two of these to act as a water filter on the input to an apartment washing machine. Ended up installing only one on the washing machine and using the other for filtering beer brewing water. One leaks, which is why it wasn't installed on the washer, also why the three stars. The filters are pretty study, and they do say only intended for outdoor use, so the slight leak isn't really a problem to them likely.. Good hard plastic, but not brittle. Threaded well onto standard washing machine hoses. Not a bad price, but I wouldn't want to replace them very often. I don't know how well they filter, water looks ok. I did use and aquarium test kit on the water and the test strips read a lower chlorine content in the output water verse the input water. They ran black for about 20 second at first and then gray for maybe a minute when I first ran them. I made sure to purge both prior to first use. I have city water with a lot of chlorine in it, it bothers my skin and fades my clothes. I am hoping this helps.

Works fine..
A lot of folks rave the negative side saying it doesn't drop they're ppms. As it shouldn't it's not a high end RO filter. It's a chlorine and chlorimine reducer and it does just that.. before watering the animals and garden I filled a jug you could smell the chlorine big time. I used the garden pure at a rate of 1gpm not even the slightest hint of chlorine in the water.. Defiantly let it run a minute or two before first use to wash out loose carbon. Also one last note no where on site did I read anything about a regulator. Once opened it say to use with a 60psi regulator. Was worried but don't go overboard and you'll be fine. I could put out a house fire with my water pressure. Great product

Plants love it!
Amazing filter. Used for my plants all summer and never had an issue. Chlorine smell disapears and seems to help retain all natural benificial microbes in soil. Must have for organoc gardens or just to have better quality water in general!

Disappointed
I understood from the site when I ordered this, that this filter removed chlorine; this is why I made the purchase. However, according to the fine print, the manufacturer makes no claims at all about the performance of the product. There is no returning the product for a refund. I will not use the product. Disappointed
