What I
My grandfather used to use this type of hose for his roses, it provided a great fine mist and you could leave it run for a period of time without fear of using too much water. Over the years these hoses have been difficul to find in the big box stores. They carried the normal hose and the soaker hose. I finally found this hose on Amazon and picked up three of them. I gave it four stars, it is definately better than average but it is not perfect. It is a great length and I attached a Y connector so that one hose went to the right and connected the other hose so that it would run to the left, that way I only needed to attach the main hose from our facet to the Y connector and maximized the distance and usage. It is a very durable hose, not just a cheap vinyl hose. It has 3 white lines on one side indicating the side with the holes. turn it up and the spray goes upwards at various intervals along the length of the hose. It came with two rubber gaskets which you insert in one end and there is a cap at the other end. Okay, the CONs which are more along the lines of what you need to be aware of, not deal breakers. First the hose should be laid out on a warm day so that it uncoils and softens up so that you can move it around. I would definately get a hold of some garden stakes or small rocks or something to hold it in place as you place it around the flower bed. Secondly the holes do not open up on the first try. I turned in on for the first time and I had huge gaps where it was dry. I was very unhappy so I went to each spot and strated to bend the hose upwards opening each hole so that it would spray. Since it is a rubber hose the holes have a tendancy to close off. You might want to simply bend the hose in your hands as you uncoil it before turning it on, maybe even hook it up to see where it is not spraying before placing it in the bed. This is not a defect in the hose. I want to be able to simply hook a hose up and walk away but if your area isn't very long a sprinkler setup would work just as well.

Does the job.
I like this hose. It could have more holes though. I will put small vertical holes in it to get in a long area. I can’t lower the pressure enough to stay exactly where I want water. If it also had holes aiming up it would be perfect. It is a good product.

Great for covering a decent-sized area.
Soaker hoses are nice for a foundation but they don't water very well. They have a relatively low flow-rate which means that the water gets absorbed into the ground before it can really spread out. So you wind up with a 1 foot path that is really well watered and bone-dry next to it. These hoses have small holes ever few inches that will cause tiny streams of water to shoot out, similar to what you get when you squirt a water-gun. There is very little misting-action that occurs even with good water pressure, even when the squirts reach about 5 feet into the air. Hence, cranking up water pressure to try to cause it to mist will just make the squirts bigger and thus water much further out. I have a tiered garden about 25 feet long and 10 feet wide on top and ran this hose back and forth to make 2 watering rows. I did the same for my bottom section and connected them with a Y-connector. By turning on the water 1/3rd pressure so the squirts were about 1 to 2 feet high, I let it water for an hour. The entire garden was very well watered with extremely even coverage. I was actually surprised because I thought that I'd have tons of 'spots' where each stream watered an area. But this was not the case because the droplets are small enough that wind blows them around and the droplets scatter fairly well to cover a small area on their own. Furthermore, I'd guess this system is about 80% more efficient than my old system of using a oscillating sprinkler (the back and forth, spray water in the air system). With the sprinkler, after an hour on high, a ton of water would be blown away or vaporized and caught by the wind. Garden was watered but it was spotty. These hoses though give me much more even coverage, much more water onto the garden, at about 1/3rd the water flow! The bottom line is that I am very pleased with these hoses. They are very good for a garden where you have a lot of different stuff planted and not a whole lot of order. In a well-done garden, they use irrigation so that each plant has an individual nozzle where it gets drip-fed straight to the roots. However, this requires a decent amount of work and pretty precise placement of plants. As enthusiasts, we are still trying out different plants and are not near ready for a drip-irrigation yet. Hence, this hose is a perfect way to easily get good coverage for our garden.

Not meant to conserve water.....
Just got it delivered today and couldn't wait to string it along my flower garden. Hooked it up and turned on the water and water not only sprinkled out of the various needle holes in the hose but the fittings at each end of the hose leaked horribly. After inspection, I discovered the shoddy manner it which the ends were connected and it became obvious why it leaked like it did. The posted photos show that it's not a matter of putting in a gasket or doubling them up, but the water is coming from where the hose hardware connects to the hose itself. It is a huge waste of water...and money......I wouldn't not purchase this again and I would be skeptical of purchasing anything from this manufacturer again.

Great time saver
We had sod installed in a long narrow area next to a sidewalk. We were told to keep it wet for at least two weeks. Watering twice a day for at least half an hour. I bought this hose and a timer. It worked perfectly. I laid the hose out white stripes up and turned on the water. I had to adjust the hose to level it. If it’s slanted it will water to that side. I made some wire brackets to hold it in place and it worked perfectly. It was the perfect hose for the job. I like better than any sprinkler I’ve ever had.

Leaks
So the concept of a sprinkler hose is pretty easy. You intentionally cut slits along the hose and out comes water. Two things happen to ruin this simple concept. First, some parts of the hose, the holes are not cut properly and the solution is to take a knife and cut a new hole yourself. Ok, no big deal. Second, some parts of the hose form aneurysms and where that happens the hole at that point spray ALOT more water than others often a good 3 meters away from the area you are trying to water. So you have to repair that. Third, I had a leak where the hose meets the hose connector. Finally, the whole thing gives very little water compared to a regular garden sprinkler, so you have to water a long time if you were using it for grass but that's the nature of the product. If I was watering a garden a drip system is actually a bit better. Flexon advertises that they are a family-run business and so I'm calling upon them to increase quality control. There is no reason that a user needs to do repairs on a brand new product to make it work as intended. A suggestion would be to include a valve to control water flow to the sprinkler. We probably have too much water pressure and that makes the aneurysms happen over time. It would also be nice as the spray goes pretty high in the air, and the wind blows it off the target so lowering the pressure would bring the spray lower.

Impossible to calibrate for efficiant watering
Close to the water inlet the watering hose sprays like crazy, its so strong that it actually makes holes in the earth while at the end the water flow is very light. If the faucet is only half opened, the water is ok at the first quarter then its less and less until not even a few drops come out at the last quarter

Holes in soaker were not punched
This was a very disappointing purchase. I assumed the hose was working fine until we had a heat wave and discovered that the holes were not punched or missing on most of the other two of the three tubes. This left large areas not getting watered. There was a hole punched through both sides which caused an underside hole to release too much water in that spot. There should not be a hole on the bottom at all. Very poor quality. Don’t buy anything from this supplier. If I could have given this product a zero, I would have.

Good idea but poor quality
The concept is great but unfortunately the quality of this product is poor. I found these pipes would struggle staying flat on the ground and the pressure and direction of sprinkles is very inconsistent. Some parts of lawn would be completely drenched which others would be dry. I did end up watering my backyard again. Additionally the pipe was cracked right at the beginning which meant that water was leaking. I reached out to their customer support who provided me a gift card. I wouldn’t recommend this product. There are other better quality options out there.

Significant leak at hose faucet end when new out of the box.
I purchased two of these. When I connected the first one up to the faucet, there was a significant leak coming from the faucet hose connection (a small stream of water coming from this fitting, not just a drip). I re-attached the hose to the faucet but had the same problem. Had hubbie check it out but he had the same problem. Then tried the second hose. Had the exactly same problem. Both hoses ended up watering (flooding over time) the soil under the faucet more than the soil around my plants. Very poor quality control in manufacturing. Had to return both hoses. I suggest Amazon drop this product until the manufacturer resolves their quality control issues.
