The Winix air purifier in our bedroom lit the "need new filter" light, hence this purchase. This certainly seemed like a genuine Winix filter - looked like the old one and fit perfectly. Significantly less money than buying from Winix. Purifier is working well.

Very expensive, but full original quality
The price of this thing was sufficient to prevent me from buying any more Winix machines, despite the fact that I love my Winix. The filter is great, just like the original, works wonderful. But that price.... ouch! It barely lasts 6 months in a dusty environment. Maybe in a clean environment you can milk it for a year, I don't know. But I could tell the filtration was getting crappy before the 6-month change-filter light even came on. Considering how often we have to change this, I wish Winix would drop the price. Or at least create an option without the carbon filter, since the carbon filter is washable and reusable.

Hassle-free filter replacement kit
I purchased the Winix 5500-2 series air purifier in October of last year on Amazon and this is the first time that the ‘check filter’ light has gone off on the unit. I purchased this replacement filter kit and received it the next day thanks to Amazon Prime! The kit arrived in pristine condition, well packaged, and with both the carbon filter and hepa filter, as described. Changing the filters in the unit was very easy since the hepa filter even indicates which way you need to place the filter in the unit based on the air flow direction. I’m happy that this two-pack kit version exists as an orderable option on Amazon. This way you are sure you are ordering the correct size and version of filter for your unit. It takes the guessing and extra research out of it which I appreciate. FYI - turning the check filter light off may not be obvious to do. Simply use a pin or a paper clip to press the button in the hole next to the red ‘check filter’ light for a few seconds. You will see the light flash, which means you can stop pressing. The light will stop flashing and shut off as soon as you release the button. The price is a little high but considering that I only have had to change the filter once in almost a year with regular use, I’m ok with it. I didn’t see any significant savings in purchasing the kit versus each filter separately, maybe a few dollars only. The advantage of buying this kit is truly the quick delivery from Prime and the peace of mind knowing you’re purchasing the filters that correspond to your specific air purifier model.

Works amazing
This is an amazing air purifier. My house is old and dusty but this filter last almost a year. This is my 3rd filter in the past 3 years. Great price too! Love it!

Washable charcoal filter extends its life
Well packaged, look just like the filters that came with the machine. Excellent. Easy to change. Only negative and this applies to any air purifier’s filters...the filters air expensive! Searching around this was the best price being offered. The charcoal filter can be washed so it should last for a year.
