Ridiculously expensive
2 small 2" filters for basically $10? Other ashtray filters sell, like, 10 for the same price. I like the Holmes ashtray (when they work & miss the model with the plug-in adapter), so I need these filters. But they are ridiculously overpriced & expensive. I need to find a cheaper alternative.

these are OK
ive only used this a few times because for me its a bit cumbersome, but its does work and its kind of cute, since I use an empty altoids tin for an ashtray (and have for many years) I already have a "container" for my ashes and butts, and I can take my tin anywhere (and have) as soon as I close the tin, the smoke stops NOW. SO... using this is a bit of a hassel and since (as others have mentioned) its only grabbing the smoke when the cig is IN The ashtray... its a little pointless, unless you tend to light a smoke and walk away for 10 mins.? in which case maybe your not really a smoker after all! LOL I was mostly interested in a way to capture my smoke WHILE I'm actually smoking so I bought 3 little air cleaners and 3 bigger heppa cleaners and I haul the little white "True Air" around the house or situate it where I smoke most often and these are working great (O: I'm happy and my partner is happy (who doesn't smoke)

It's worth the price, you get what you pay for.
They work good, for as long as it works. Had to return the first one after about 2 weeks. Just exchanged it. It works good when it works. Usually a little jiggling gets it working again. I put a small piece of foam inside with a few drops of orange scented oil on it. So the air the fan blows out smells nice.

Waste of money
I never had a chance to even use this item because the ashtray is a joke to use and i had several friends look at ashtray and they all agreed you don't need to change filter unless you leave your lit cig sit in ashtray and you not smoke it yourself

The ashtray does great at sucking up the smoke while your ciggerette sits in it, but here's a tip- DO NOT SET IT ON A POROUS SURFACE, SUCH AS WOOD!!!! The wood sucks in all the smell blown around the ashtray, and will smell like an old, half-burnt ciggerette, even days after removing the ashtray from the area! I had to use several applications of lemon oil on my wood coffee table to get the ciggerette stink out. Going to try setting it on a large plate or something (anything made of fabric does not work, I tried).

The filter work fine, however they last about 2 1/2 weeks. some smoke does escape but not to the degree of not having one at all. They are too expensive for just 2 filters in a package

PRODUCT DOES NOT PERFORM AS DESCRIBED It’s a piece of crap!!! Don’t waste your money!! It does suction up the cigarette smoke when a cigarette is in the unit but the filter filters nothing out, the smell it blown back out from the bottom of the unit. Amazon should remove this product and stop ripping people off!
