Really Nice Filament
The Amazon Basics copper silk PLA has printed perfectly on my Ender 3 Pro. I used my standard profile, 200 nozzle and 65 bed temperature and had great results with .2, .16 and .12 layer heights. The spool came tightly sealed and wound with no tangles and printed great with no drying. Really happy with this filament.

Fantastic for the price
Great, shiny, metallic-silk filament at a bargain price. Prints smoothly and the final results look the part! Bed adhesion could be better but nothing a dab of a glue stick (or painters tape!) couldn’t fix.

Pretty good!
This Amazon filament is pretty good actually. I made a tiny dragon and the joints didn’t fuse or anything. You do have to turn up the temp a little but that’s just how it goes with silks and metallics. Looks nice too!

Please perform tighter Quality Control over the spooling process
I've used this filament many times for all kinds of projects, and it is capable of producing very good prints with the right settings. My single grievance with this product is that the last spool I purchased had a backlash approximately halfway down the spool. This caused my printer to stop completely, and while it was quite easy to respool the filament, I'd much rather have received it properly spooled.

Prints different from normal PLA, but good stuff
The media could not be loaded. It took me awhile to figure out the settings for this material. I have a 0.6mm steel nozzle, so that has considerations of it's own. Like some other reviewers though, I found this prints a bit cooler than most PLA. But with my nozzle it ends up being about the same temps (steel nozzles are less conductive than brass and larger bore size means there's more material that needs to be continuously heated). Of course the appearance is pretty cool and its why I bought this stuff, but some other properties are why I'll buy it again. One being that it is a much stretchier material when it's above it's Tg (the video shows how significant the die swell is) and the other is that it is pretty springy like PETG when solid. The molten stretchiness means it doesn't ooze out of the nozzle nearly as much as most other materials. This means those annoying boogers that screw up your first layer aren't as big of a problem. However, if your retraction isn't set right expect your parts to be stringy if there's a lot of cross-perimeter movements. So... don't let any negative comments prevent you from giving it a try. Just expect that it'll take a few tries to get good results. Start with small models and move up once you figure it out. :-)

Surprisingly Smooth Shiny Filament!
I’ve used other “Silk” shiny filaments before and lately I’ve had some bad runs with the brands I usually used. So, I saw Amazon Basic Silk Silver and thought I’d give it a try. I was not disappointed! It printed my designs very smoothly without changing any of my slicer settings and still has that sheen after it printed ????????! Good job Amazon Basics! Don’t change the formula for this Silk Silver ????????!

Not copper. Shiny orange.
The item photo is a bullshot. Its basically a shiny orange - there is no metallic sheen only a glossy orange. Its not a bad color, its just not close to copper looking. As far as printing goes, it works fine. Good adhesion, clean printing.

first layer adhesion is pretty mid but it looks good once it gets going
you really gotta crank down your z offset for the first layer to get it to stick. I'd recommend 205 hotend 60 bed temp

Bad result
Delivery excellent as usual. FIlament comes in a vacuum bag and they give you an extra bag to store the filament. The silk effect is quite awesome but the filament prints badly. A lot of popping since first layer. A lot of tiny hole in the print caused by popping. I tried to dry the filament in different ways but nothing has changed. I'm very disappointed about this because the parts without holes and hair are very good looking. The printer is not the problem because I printed same models with different filaments and I didn't have this issue. Maybe I only had a bad luck with this one having a faulty one considering what I read from other people. It is what it is... this is my experience with this product.

???? Magnifique rendu bleu brillant, facile à imprimer, je le recommande ????
The media could not be loaded. Merci????

A little trial and error
This was my 1st spool I bought after using some of the free sample included with my 3d printer. I found the adhesion to be slightly inferior that what i had previously used. I adjusted a few settings ( lowered the Z axis) and heated the print bed a little more and it all seems to wok perfectly. It might be worth keeping note on every brand of filament so you can fine tune it next time you use it. I did find it was wound slightly badly and got tangled at 1st, but that soon cleared up. The Silver is a great finish and colour. I've had not blockages so far and I'm about half way thru. Like I say, my only note would be to keep the temperature nice and warm when using.

Silk PLA (Silver) - "Tangles"
I am a newbie to printing, so I need all the help I can get. I don't need problems with the feed off the spool. It looks quite good - bright, shiny. It prints OK - with the usual fiddling about with settings to make it stick to the bed etc. But the one really BAD thing is that the way it has been spooled means that occasionally the extruder ends up pulling one strand UNDER another on the spool. Of course, this simply jams and the extruder goes on trying to drag out filament that is essentially "knotted". Luckily no discernable damage to my new Ender 3 Pro. I think I shall spend a few quid more if I need more Silver. (Or should I look into re-spooling filament?)

Love this
I was not expecting the best with it being an Amazon Basic pack but how surprised was I. I absolutely love this stuff and have yet to run into any problems with it. (That is probably the kiss of death on them now) I will most definitely be buying again in the future.
