Nice pet gate
Needed a gate that would help block my dog from the upstairs that would also look nice. This had a darker wood and black finish that matched our staircase. It is expandable to different widths which is helpful. We don’t really use the tension feature so I can’t speak to how well it secures, but it comes with mounting hardware.

Works great. 4 stars bc it came cracked on one spot. Instead of returning I just used wood glue. Need to come better packaged.

Good Gate for Price
I purchased this gate to keep my new pups in a confined space. I had purchased a couple other versions of a gate, but was not happy with them. This one is the good old standby model I remember using with my children when they were young. The gate is easy to adjust to the space, the locking mechanism is pretty good and when locked in place, is very sturdy. Sometimes it's better to stick to the older models than try newfangled ones!

Not the easiest to operate, difficult to return
After working at a baby store for four years, I have experience with many different baby gates. This is one of the more difficult ones to use. And it is very hard to step over but I guess that’s the point if you were getting an extra tall gate. I like that is a pressure mount system and you don’t need to drill into any walls. But, it was difficult to use Into style for my son to step over. I also ran into difficulty trying to return it. I had unfortunately gotten rid of the box and ups was trying to charge $14 for a new one to return it in and there is no option to send without one. I ended up saving the hardware like screws and clasps and throwing the rest away.

Hard to lock in place
I bought this gate to confine my puppy in the laundry room while we were having some work done on the house. I like how this gate is see through for her. It is light and easy to store away when not in use. The only complaint I have is the plastic locking mechanism. It is terribly hard to use. Not smooth at all. I had an Evenflo gate like this years ago that had a metal clip. It was much easier. I struggle with the plastic locking mechanism every time I use it and every time think to myself, "The old metal clip was so easy."

"No tools required" but you need a screwdriver to install plastic holders to secure sides of gate???
I purchased this gate because it indicated "no tools required"- which also meant I wouldn't be required to damage/permanently mark up my walls to use it. Total misrepresentation. The hardware enclosed (plastic caps and metal screws) clearly says you have to screw these into the wall to secure the gate. Plus, the operating mechanism/lock feature is a joke. Flimsy and hard to move to open/close. Bring back the "old school" ones that just had an "upside down U" piece of metal that fit over the adjustment rod. I'm keeping it because it works for my older dogs without having to damage my walls with the hardware (using tension only to hold in place), but a wild child or puppy would probably blast right through it. Do NOT recommend - very disappointing.

Not as tall as I thought...
It seemed like it would be a bit taller, but it does fit the description. I think the picture threw me. I got this for my dogs. They just jumped that sucker the moment I took it out of the box. I tried it in the space anyway and my 40 pound puppy just pushed it right over. Anyway, dogs need training to respect these boundaries sometimes, so don't get it to fix all your problems, which is why I returned it. I didn't need the height and it was flimsy to move since we move locations often, so it wasn't going to fit the bill. I thought the wood would be heavier and it's not. I'm thinking I'll get a normal height one and just work on what I want from them when they see the boundary--I'll buy something that is light but is sturdy enough to be able to be on the move like we are.

This keeps my dogs contained
I use a small barrier and a large one to keep my dogs out of the kitchen during meal preparation. I have not attached them to the wall because I also use them in other places in the house. They have a moderately reliable pressure fit, but they are really designed for permanent installation. I don’t like the expanding/contracting bar. It is difficult to operate.

Bit flimsy but seems sturdy once I stalled
One pice of the wood was split when I received it. Needed to use it right away and didn’t have time to return it, so just glued it and works fine now. Seems a bit flimsy but pretty secure once installed. Some guests had difficulty operating it, but once you realise how it works, it’s pretty straight forward.
