Poor Threading but Resolved.
We only had this lamp for 4 months. Today we noticed the lamp leaning to the side. Trying to tighten the base, it just spins and spins. Not enough threading to catch. Not a lot of wear and tear on this lamp other than turning the switch and adjusting the side light. Obviously, not very durable to withstand. The look of the lamp was nice and matched the decor of my table lamps. There was a customer service number where I left a message. I hope someone will contact me for a replacement. Updating my original review, I emailed customer service and they are sending a replacement. As such, I’m bumping my rating to 4 stars from 1.

Great Lamp, Sticker Issue
I really like this lamp, it’s good quality for the price. My only issue is that they stick a warning sticker on the frosted glass, and when that sticker is removed, some of the frost came with it.

Beautiful Floor Lamp
This lamp arrived today and I'm very happy with it. I bought the white because it was $10 cheaper and I'm glad I did. It's just lovely. I'm 68, short, and have arthritis so had some doubts about trying to put this together myself but decided to give it a go. First of all it took some time getting it all out of the packaging. Keep a box cutter handy. There's three layers of packing and a lot of packing tape outside and inside the box. The pole pieces are all wired together so it's easy to tell how it goes together. At first glance the cord at the bottom looks like it's only 2 ft., but once you get all the pole pieces together, you'll need to pull the cord out the bottom base and it's actually about 5 ft. long. About the same length as a regular table lamp. You work from the bottom and the hardest part was getting the bottom most pole section screwed into the base. This took me a few tries. The first time it was a little crooked and every time I tried, I couldn't get it screwed all the way down on the base. There was a small gap. I was afraid I'd strip it if I forced it. What I ended up doing was screwing it down toward the base about three times. Then unscrewing it after each attempt and wiping off the threads with my finger to get the little bits of aluminum off. Then I screwed the second pole piece into the first and screwed both pieces into the base turning from the second or top pole piece. It screwed into the base easily and all the way down. Anyway that's what worked for me. The other pieces screwed in easily. When I got to the last piece at the top, I had too much cord and needed to pull it out the base. I have short arms, so I ended up sitting the lamp on a chair and holding the top piece, reaching down and pulling the cord out the bottom. There was still a little extra cord at the top but it works down into the pole. The shades are easily attached, but I had to stand on a chair to put the top shade on. Love the reading lamp and the light is bright. You have to turn the switch clockwise or it won't work. I have to agree with other reviewers that this lamp wobbles easily if not on a level floor, even though the base is fairly heavy, and could topple easily if you have small kids or pets. I imagine many other floor lamps would topple easily too, but this one has glass shades and could be dangerous. I would recommend keeping it out of high traffic areas. I love the look of this lamp, it's just beautiful and the price was amazing. I would definitely order it again.

Good lamp. Could be a little more stable.
I spent a long time deciding on a lamp before finally choosing this one. I have one corner of my room where I wanted task lighting over my coffee bar, but I didn't want to clutter up the space with a separate room light. The Good: -It looks great. I went for the "Antique Brass" option. It has a brushed finish and doesn't look painted on like some of the cheaper lamps. -The glass shades are thick and heavy and had no sharp edges, chips or cracks. -It went together in about ten minutes. I put it together by myself and had to lay it down since I didn't have someone to hold the pieces in place, but no problems there. I had no issues with the threads like some folks reported. They're very fine and easy to cross or overtighten and strip if you're not paying attention, so be careful. The Bad: -Typical Chinese QC (or lack thereof) on the base. The base of the lamp is just a slug of concrete in a plastic liner, glued or press-fit into a decorative metal flange. The problem is, mine wasn't anywhere close to being flat on the bottom. Put a 6' lever arm and a 2-lb. shade up on top of it and set it on carpet and you have a problem. I was able to shim the lamp with thin strips of wood and cardboard. It's in a corner, so I don't have to worry about bumping it, but if it had to be anywhere near a walkway the base would be a deal-breaker, even on a hard floor. -More Chinese QC on everything that isn't threaded. Nothing about the lamp is actually square. The base, the top shade and the pieces of the finial all sit at slightly different angles relative to horizontal. It looks fine up close, but step back and it's easy to see that everything is a bit crooked. It's all press-fit, so there's no real way to fix it. Other Thoughts: -I didn't want a 3-way switch, but that's the only way I could get this lamp. I replaced the top socket with a simple on-off socket from the hardware store and reused the original shade retention nut, sleeve and knob. No big deal. -I'm using a 60W equivalent LED bulb in the top and a 40W equivalent LED bulb in the gooseneck, both 2700K. The shades have a pleasing color when the lights are on. I'd give it 3.5 stars if I could. The finish is good, the shades are very nice and it does what it's supposed to do. The "Attention to Detail" category rates a solid "China" out of 5, though. Don't buy it if you're OCD about things being aligned or parallel, or if you plan to set it up on carpet.

Great lamp
We love this new lamp in our living room. It brings elegance to the room that we never had before. We feel like grown ups now having this lamp on display. I ordered a 2nd one to replace the other lamp we have located in another room.

Sturdy pole and base, but wobbly socket and switch
This is a beautiful lamp. The base has good weight to hold it steady, and the pole is well-built. At the joints there is approximately 2cm of thread for good, stable connection (unlike the 1cm of thread that my $25 lamp had that wobbled and always had a lean to it). The vertical grooved pattern on the pole lines up perfectly on 2 out of three sections and the slight misalignment on the third is not very noticeable. The glass light covers are of good quality, and the plastic collars used to assemble the light sockets are easy to use and of sturdy material. The knobs/switches are long enough to be easily accessible (when standing, in the case of the main light) and easy to grip and turn. We are using a 3-way LED bulb (max 100W equivalent) in the main lamp and a 60W equivalent LED in the reading lamp. The reading lamp LED is definitely bright, and a person might want to slightly lower that wattage, depending on personal preference. The main light, with the LED bulb, gives a good amount of light in a living room with no ceiling-mounted lights. The switch goes medium-high-low, and it would be fair to say that the 40W equiv low setting is still a bit bright (difference in LED vs incandescent) but that is a much better complaint that the previous lack of light. The latter is not a fault of the lamp, just a comment on the choice of LED bulb. There are two problems. First, the socket that holds the light bulb doesn't fit snuggly into the surrounding case (I don't know the correct terminology), so my husband stabilized it with a piece of double-sided tape to fill up the space and stabilize the light bulb. Second, on the main light, where the switch comes through the cone below the light, the hole is way too large for the switch and thus wobbles all over when handling the switch. It worked fine, but this was really annoying. My husband used a rubber grommet to fill the space and secure the knob. Both problems were resolved and the lamp is working great. I still recommend this lamp, although one should be prepared to do a little stabilizing on their own. For the price, these issues should have been taken care of by the company. I have included a couple of pictures to try to show the grommet that I am referring to.

Not suitable for UK clients- US plug.
I love the lamp, but had many problems sorting it out. Ideal to brighten up my office corner.

Solidly made... excellent value... attractive in use... easy to assemble
I bought this for my grand daughter... but ended up keeping it for me ( because they are genuine glass lamp shades ). The unit was well packed and survived abusive handling by the postal authorities ( box all banged up but all glass survived the trip ! Easy to assemble... unlike what reported by some three finger monkey's that can't thread two pipes together ( secret... take your time and make sure your threading is lined up before tightening up.. it should take zero force to screw the pipes together ). As noted I kept this unit and gave my grand daughter our similar looking Ikea unit that has PLASTIC lamp shades ( as I imagine it will prevent a future problem if she should ever knocked the lamp over - ie no potential for shattered glass on floor ).

Easy to assemble
Received the lamp 2 days before it was to arrive. It came in a small box, and was packaged great so nothing was broken. It was easy to assemble, no tools required, just screw each piece together starting from the base. Screw in the glass lamp shades and then add your bulbs. I plugged it in and it worked! It was so easy and looks great! I used LED bulbs so they are nice and bright and the glass shades look so much nicer than plastic. I have this standing on a floor, not carpet, so it stands sturdy. The base also has some good weight to it. It is a great lamp for small spaces, fits in nicely. I would recommend this lamp.

It was so much better than the picture. More than pleased with this purchase.
Gives plenty of light in our large living room and a soft light for reading. Best is you don’t have to have both lights on at the same time.
