Pump is good, but they forget a piece
Didn't receive the air converter with the pump. Made connecting it very difficult. It is my fault for not building the system for more than 1.5 years after i bought it though : D

Was worth it even at the original higher price
I've been running this pump 24/7 under a fake rock next to my pond for just over a year. Yesterday I noticed that the aeration had stopped, and the sound coming from the rock was louder than normal. Upon further inspection, I found that it was barely generating any pressure. Without resistance, it was still moving air, but there was not enough pressure to drive the aerator. I took it apart to find about a half-cup of fine dust and sand inside the center of the pump (where the motor resides). The piston shaft that is supposed to move up and down between the stators was nearly seized in place. I had to work it quite hard to get it out completely - at which point I'd found the teflon/graphite surfaces so badly scored by the sand, that I immediately ordered a replacement. I had little hope of getting it to work again. However, with a little bit of steel wool and WD40, I managed to get the parts to once again slide evenly. The diaphragms on either side of the piston were dusty, but not deformed or damaged in any way. I thoroughly cleaned all the remaining items, and reassembled it. To my surprise, the aerator came alive with the same pressure/flow I would expect from a new pump. I was quite surprised with how simple the teardown and reassembly was, and it has boosted my confidence in the design and construction. I will keep the new one as a spare, as I suspect the "slop" introduced in the wear surfaces probably will diminish the remaining life. The intake filter (nothing more than a fine sponge) was saturated with sand and dust. Clearly, this was operator error, and I have now redesigned how the pump is mounted under the fake rock. Hopefully that will reduce the amount of debris that finds its way into the pump. Overall, a strong recommendation.

Great pump
I had this as my back up and needed it right away. Works great for our 1200 gallon Koi pond.

This thing is ripping! Great airflow!
I'm using this for about 2200 gallons. My fish are hibernating in extremely well oxygenated water. I ended up just using 4 instead of 6 because it pushes so much air that my 3.5ft pond is getting bubbles everywhere. I had a different kind that needed 6 and still had still water areas. This thing really pushes some air through. It's a slight hum, but this is an outdoor pond and I hardly can hear it. I have to walk to the pump house to make sure it is on. And it's much more affordable that the other brand we had. Our old one had a know that turned it all the way up or down and we had to have it on max all the time, so for us, this one not having that feature is actually nice because you can't accidentally bump it and turn the air flow down. I highly recommend this for fellow fish pond owners. My fish are all happily hiding in their rocks instead of trying to hibernate near the diffusers. Huge yay!

Two issues
The product is very powerful, it works very, very, well. There are two issues, one it runs so hot the metal air hose distributor with all of the rubber hoses attached to it gets so hot you can burn your hand. Not the unit itself, the metal splitter that attaches with the hose. The second issue is that the hose needs to be clamped to the unit and to the metal distributor/splitter, otherwise the air blast is so strong it just keeps coming off at the splitter end. I bought plumbing clamps at the local hardware store and now having attached them the hose does not come off. I guess the final issue is that it is not waterproof. I have it outdoors for a 750 gallon fish pond (It is way to much pump for this size pond, but that is what I wanted) and I have to put something over it to keep the rain off but not completely over it because it runs so hot. I actually have the splitter up off the ground on a metal flowerpot turned sideways because I am concerned about vegetation catching fire. I am going to get a cement paver to put everything on so that won't be an issue. I definitely like the pump, it seems very well made and is a beast pushing out air, you just have to know a couple of things before you buy it.

My ECO air commercial air pump, misleading information.
misleading information, written on box it states: output is 793 gph, psi 2.9, current:0.25A, imput 120V. model:728450 that means comsumption in watts is 30 not the 18 they are stating on their descrption. If you are energy concious this matters. BEWARE. One year latter, I just checked the wattage consumption and it is around 18 watts. I read in one of the reviews that this is because the real output is not 793 GPH but about 350 GPH. If that is the case, it works well for me. But the information is not correct from the manufacturer on the GPH output.

Wattage stated on Ecoplus Air Pumps on Amazon are misleading.
I am currently testing this pump for durability. I connected the unit to a meter and in reality this unit consumes 30 watts not 18 watts as stated in the banner. I rechecked this using the Amp and Volts stated, and sure enough all the Ecoplus air pumps wattage are understated in the Amazon adverts, so beware. Model 728450 is 30 watts, model 728455 is 50.4 watts, model 728457 is 121 watts, model 728459 is 360 watts. So calculate your electric costs based on current and voltage, not using the wattage on the advertisement. Rather deceptive.

Good power, very heavy vibrations though
Like some other reviews have commented, this air pump has a slight machine odor to it - but not enough to bother me. I imagine it would go away after a few days. The build quality of this pump is generally pretty good although I think the precision of the cutouts for the rubber pads could be a bit improved. While I didn't have any problems with the manifold, I did have to make sure I was careful with it. The air delivery is strong. The air pump however, is quite loud on it's own but more importantly, the vibrations are very harsh with no way to tone it down. You'll definitely want to use this in a fish-room type of environment where you can spare the extra vibration. In a living room, or an office, it's too much.

Incorrect wattage advertised and VERY VERY NOISY
The air pump is VERY VERY noisy, I have a lot of noise in my grow room and I can hear the air pump over everything else. Also as other reviewers stated this pump is NOT 18W they are lying and it will cost way more electricity than advertised. I bought this air pump solely based on the wattage as it was the same LPH than another manufacturer with less wattage, so I assumed it was more energy-efficient. THUMBS DOWN TO ECOPLUS

Quiet, well valued, is industrial
Excellent pump as far as noise level, if you have enough pressure. I love that you can link more than one together for better compression, but it shakes my house. Will NOT run 6 - 4” round flat airs tones, even with only 5 air stones if the stone is deeper than 1’ foot, it doesn’t bubble. Good value, know what you are buying. I suggest 6-2” air stones for a single pump.

Nice Pump?
I have a RDWC system I built with 6 tubs and was using two popular brands of aquarium/hydroponic pumps and still not getting the flow this one pump has. It is thunderin loud if it was used in a living room aquarium setting but that isn't what I am using mine for. Very powerful and all six 4 inch disk air stones are bubbling away beautifully. Thanks.
