Perfect to place in bottom of rain barrell
I needed a low flow pump to put in my rain barrell that wouldn't try to empty all the water out in a few minutes and this pump is perfect.

EcoPlus 1347 GPH Pump
I bought this as a replacement for a Hydrofarm AAPW1000 that functionally worked great, but had a weird outlet fitting size. The EcoPlus 1347 solved that problem because it has standard PVC fitting thread sizes. The EcoPlus is much larger than the old pump with the consideration that they have similar GPH ratings. However, this pump is pretty phenomenal for the price. I’mi a little disappointed that the price has gone up to $87 since I purchased it, but what are you going to do about it? So far, it’s able to recirculate the water for my saltwater mixing station and pump it to my tank with ease. The pump flawlessly moves water 46” above itself, and that’s not including all the twists, turns, and sediment filter I installed in the flow’s path. The flow to my tank is excellent, and it does what I need it to do. The plastic that forms the inlet and outlet feels very thin and cheap, so definitely find a way to reinforce it or be very gentle when screwing fittings in because it will crack and leak. The threads on the EcoPlus 1347 model are as follows: Inlet: 1” female NPT for PVC thread Outlet: 3/4” female NPT for PVC thread Hopefully that helps someone because it would have helped me, haha.

Great for Chilling Wort with an Immersion Chiller
This has been a great addition to my homebrewing equipment. I connect to myHomeBrewStuff 25' Copper Immersion Wort Chiller - Deluxe Package with 2x 12' Hoses, Fittings, and Faucet Adapter , submerge the pump in a cooler full of ice water, and have the chiller water return dump back into the cooler at the opposite end. Invaluable in the Georgia heat when trying to cool wort to 80F or less. The pump itself seems to be quite durable as it has had several knocks and drops by yours truly and it just keeps on chugging along, never missing a beat. It even comes with several different outlet fitting sizes and shapes to fit various needs. Even though the fittings are all plastic, they have held up very well to the aforementioned drops and ice water. If I ever have to order another pump, I may step up to the next size for a little more flow, but with the way this one has performed, I'm not sure I'll need to buy another anytime soon. Could it be better? Of course, but what can't you improve on? Even as close to perfect as I am (sarcasm), my wife would surely make an improvement or two... It could have an on/off switch so I can control operation at the pump instead of having to plug/unplug from the wall/extension cord. And you know, I think that might be the only improvement I would make. Nothing but praise for this thing, especially at the price point.

Long life
I have used these pumps for years. They last years if you don't run them dry and clean them.

Does not have a 'hose' fitting for the discharge outlet.
I needed to connect a hose to the discharge but this particular model does not have it. The description does indicate three model numbers that have the hose discharge, but they do not direct you to them nor do they tell you the model number of the one you are currently purchasing. I got around the problem by cutting the male end of an old hose off with an couple of inches of hose left on it and then attaching the cut end over one of the fittings supplied that could then be screwed onto the discharge outlet. Once I screwed it onto the pump I simply connected my female hose fitting to the male end now on the pump. Pump looked good and worked well but I have only used it once for back flushing my tankless hot water heater with vinegar.

Good Pump But........
I have been using 2 of these pumps submerged in my hydroponic tanks for several years. Never a problem until recently. I was working around the solution tank and stuck my hand in the tank. I though something bit me. I could not see anything and went back to work. It bit me again! I knew what it was this time. I received a fairly strong electric shock. The pump still works as it should but there must be a leak in the electric cord or pump body somewhere. I can not see any nicks on the cord but there is definitely a problem. I like these pumps and purchased another one to replace the defective one.

Good, Not So Good...
UPDATE: 03/27/2023 Replaced with the same pump in November 2022 and it lasted 4 months. It had a frozen propeller so it's not covered under warranty. Had an extra one, always keep one extra just in case, and that one so far, day 1, is working. I think I have this company my last money. Seeking another brand with a great warranty. UPDATE: Finally almost 3 years, it was still working...BUT... when I touched the water, I got zapped. UPDATE: 08/04/2021 over 2 years now... Still running strong. It still runs 24/7 with no slow downs and runs smoothly. ******************** I bought this in June 2019 for my 1800 gallon pond. It is still going strong today running it 24/7 with absolutely no issues. I'll probably order another one soon just to keep as a replacement. Maintenance is the key for any pump.
