Better than expected

I ended up buying these for basically 1 use to set up a couple ethernet lines through our house. I bought these for pretty cheap expecting that they'd be a pain to use, but I didn't wanna cough up big bucks for a set that I might never use again, but man I'm glad I got this set. They work really really well. There's no play in the hinges, the cutters work perfect, and the crimping works great as well. if you are also searching amazon for a cheap pair, buy these, they'll last!

A perfect tool if all you need is a crimper for your CAT5/6 cables

It doesn't everything it says in the product description and does it well, at a great price. I found this tool easy to use, did the job well and good value for money for the price. There are exactly similar products available in the market with more expensive pricing, but this does the same job equally well. I like this crimper.

Great value

Good tool, excellent when you consider the price. If your job entails crimping lots of cables, get a better one (I'd probably get one of those pass-thru crimp tools). If you just need to crimp a connector occasionally this is a solid choice.

The only issue I have with this is that after unrolling a spool of cat5e from my switch to a shed, I couldn't figure out how to cut the cable from the spool because the cutters are closed in by the ratchet. Not a real big problem, my leatherman took care of the cutting but it kind of caught me off guard.

Blade broker :-(

The outer insulation stripper blade snapped, when I applied too much force to it (head held low in shame - was desperate and was using it on a tv antenna cable). Would a more expensive model have stood up to this ill-use?

Defective crimper

Although it looks built well there was too much play in movement of crimper and it would not press copper pins properly in modular connectors. I even tried crimping a blank modular plug and it wouldn’t compress all eight pins. Returning for another brand

Great tool for the price

I don't do a lot of this type of work, so I didn't want to spend a lot. I've had good success with the cables I've made. The jacket cutter makes wire stripping a snap!
