Fantastic Smoker

I've used this about 4 times now and love it. I did see other reviews before purchasing this that people were having trouble regulating the temperature. The smoker can run hot, but leaving the two vents wide open and the chimney vent half closed I am able to get a steady 225°F with only one burner. My guess is that two burners will only be needed if I smoke in the colder weather as the unit is not insulated. This thing is solid and super easy to clean. I strongly recommend getting the cover for it as well to protect it from the elements. This is a big, and I do mean big smoker. There is ample room for 5 packer briskets or even 10 full racks of pork ribs using all 5 shelves. If you love good barbecue and looking for something that will hold all the meat you could possibly cook at one time, this smoker is for you.

Awesome smoker. I'll never go back to wood logs again.

For the past two decades, I've used a huge cabinet with an attached firebox for all of my smoking needs. Problem is, smoking with wood logs is high-maintenance. When we sold our house, I left the smoker and wood with it. In our retirement home, I bought this smoker and we love it. I can maintain a constant temperature by adjusting the burners and chimney and not have to constantly keep adding wood and adjusting the ventilation. MUCH easier to smoke this way. Only downside/hassle is for longer smoking items such as a large brisket, whole turkey or chicken, you need to dump out the wood chip box and add new chips. But even with that, it is still much easier to keep your temps consistent. And, I've found that once I get to temp (around 225F), I can turn off one burner and turn the other down to low and maintain my temp--and, a propane tank will last an average of almost twenty (or more) hours. It doesn't get any easier and I can't tell any difference in the taste or quality of the finished product.

Ich hatte lange nach einer passenden Schutzhaube für den Fuego XXL vergeblich gesucht. Den Stress einer Bestellung in den USA habe ich gescheut. Die Abwicklung über Amazon (Preis, Versand und Steuern in €) war super. Auch die Lieferung klappte schnell und problemlos. Das Highlight: Im Karton war eine Rechnung, die als Gesamtsumme (Preis & Versand) eine etwas höhere Summe auswies. Das Teil selbst macht einen solide Eindruck. Es passt genau für den Fuego, einschließlich der Dachhaube. Gut sind auch die an der Seite angebrachten Klettbänder. In der Summe: Was will man mehr. Da ich die Haube erst vor einiger Zeit gekauft habe, kann ich zu der Haltbarkeit noch nichts sagen. Ein schlechtes Gefühl habe ich jedoch nicht

Fits like a glove.

I ordered this on a Thursday, with regular mail, promise date was the following Tuesday, then moved up to Sunday, but received it on the Saturday, 2 day shipping is not hard to take. The velcro holds it on nice and snug, with no worries of the wind taking it. Feels and looks very durable, I like it!

Perfekt Abdeckhaube für......

Perfekte Abdeckhaube für den Vertikal Smoker El Fuego Portland XXL. Super Passgenauigkeit, sogar die Ausbuchtung für den kleinen Schlot wurde perfekt in die Abdeckhaube eingearbeitet. An jeder Seite befindet sich ein Klettverschluss um die Haube gut am Smoker arretieren können. Die Qualität und Materialstärke wirkt sehr gut Verabeitet und Strapazierfähig. Es wird alles erfüllt was man sich von einer Abdeckhaube erwartet. Die Bestellung über Amazon Deutschland und Lieferung aus den USA, lief wie auf der Hompage beschrieben, Einfach und Problemlos. Ich selbst musste mich um keinerlei Zoll Tätigkeiten kümmern, alles wurde perfekt im Alleingang von Amazon übernommen.

Perfekte Abdeckung

Perfekte Abdeckung für meinen El Fuego Portland XXL Grill. Die Qualität der Abdeckung ist sehr gut verarbeitet und hochwertig. Super passgenau und dank Klettverschluss an beiden Seiten kann man sie perfekt fest machen, dass sie auch bei Wind hält. Absolut empfehlenswert!????????

Ich kann diese Abdeckung nur empfehlen. Ok sie ist kein Schnäppchen, aber dafür sehr gut verarbeitet und sie sieht auch mit den roten Nähten sehr gut aus. Passt zu 100% Die Lieferung hat nur etwas gedauert, aber deshalb möchte ich dem Produkt keinen Stern Abzug geben.
