DOES NOT WORK WELL AS A SUPPLY TO A REFRIGERATOR ICE MAKER/DRINKING WATER DISPENSER
The WFRO60X reverse osmosis system was not designed for and is not intended to be used as I used it, so says the manufacturer. I bought it and installed it to supply the refrigerator ice maker and drinking water dispenser. The owner's manual says there should be 30 PSI in the tank when full. The most I ever saw was 24 PSI and that was after I increased my home water system well above the 40 PSI minimum mentioned in the manual. With my home water system set to 40 PSI minimum, I'd get about 18 PSI in the RO tank. Flow from the refrigerator water system was very slow and never reached the 1.7 gallons mentioned in the manual. I contacted the manufacturer and they approved for me to send it back for testing / fixing and return. It cost me $28 to ship it. They tested it and said it works fine. They returned at their shipping cost. They stated I was not using it as intended. I feel many customers might want to use it the way I did. It provides very good water though. UPDATE: THE MFG STUCK WITH ME UNTIL A SOLUTION WAS FOUND. THEY SUGGESTED I ELIMINATE THE FILTER IN THE FRIDGE BECAUSE IT IS NOT NEEDED WITH THE RO SYSTEM. THIS DID IMPROVE FLOW CONSIDERABLY. I UPGRADED MY RATING FROM 3 STARS TO FOUR. FLOW AND PRESSURE STILL NOT GREAT BUT ACCEPTABLE.

Its worth it.
I have one of these installed in my house and install them for others, its a good unit. And we have found that you only need to replace once a year for two people who use it all the time. A couple points, there is a black screw like thing that goes into the drain hose that goes into the back of the ro filter (the one in the middle). If you forget to install it then the unit will run all the time. Its a restrictor. Also, the tank itself needs to be about 7 psi. (Use a digital gauge) when the tank is completely empty. This can effect the amount of water you get, make sure you have it at 7 or maybe 6 to 6.5 psi, belive it or not, when its 8 or so you will loose water volume. I solved this with an issue a customer had with a system i installed. Its really a gopd system and you can get the atter market carbon filters, sold on amazon. The ro filter you need to buy a dupont and i have found them as cheap as 50 bucks. And you only need to replace it once a year. About 100 bucks a year keeps us in plenty of water. Never have an issue.

Works good but started leaking
I got one of Dupont's WFRO60X RO kits at a local home improvement store. The install was fairly strait forward since I added in a dual outlet water supply valve to feed the WFRO60X and my kitchen faucet. I also merged in a separate water supply to get cold RO water to the refrigerator. Filter canisters replace very easily but still drip some water (still better than most). The RO drain line (with restricter) is attached behind the RO filter which makes replacing the RO filter a pain since it is difficult to get to the line disconnect. This is poor design planning just to offer a cleaner appearance for something mounted under a sink or remotely. It was 4 stars at that point. Awhile ago I noticed slight water damage near the cabinet interior floor but no standing water. After a stake out I finally found a water drop that came from the assembly header and behind the filter canisters. There is a small drain hole in the header. I did not have time to remove all the lines to remove the header and find out what this is. I placed a paper towel to absorb the small drips before they affected the cabinet floor. It dropped to 3 stars at that point. Recently I found a larger amount of water on the cabinet floor and a soaked paper towel. I removed the lines and took out the header assembly. That was tricky since there is a gallon of water stored under pressure, I suggest adding a valve to the top of the storage tank. This drain hole is a spill port from the auto shut-off valve. It appears that any water leaking past either of the round gaskets will drain from the valve out of this hole and end up in your cabinet. Why was this spill port not incorporated into the line to the sink drain? I dropped to 2 stars since it still works and I am still using it. But it should be 1 star at best. I will try to get replacement auto-off gaskets and retry. To avoid future failures I plan to tap a line to that spill port and route it to the drain remote mount this in the basement like I should have in the first place. I may consider finding another brand RO filter to replace this one since I am less enthusiastic about Dupont's design.

How to install a replacement Reverse Osmosis Membrane?
I am generally satisfied with the WFR060X reverse osmosis system (slow output of water), but it functions. The instructions for installing a replacement reverse osmosis filter is "turn counterclockwise to lock". It does this, but there is a connection with a hose at the bottom of the filter with no instructions on how to disconnect from the existing filter and re-connect to the new one. Any Ideas?? Thank you.

I have used this unit for 4 years without any issues until now. Normally when the flow gets slow (about once a year) I replace the cartridges. This time around after replacing the cartridges the flow was still just a trickle. I disassembled the entire unit to find any blockages but found none. I now just moans and groans and has nearly no flow. The tank will fill so I can drain it into another container for the fridge but it no longer works as it did when new.
