Used a suitcase strap to get on.
To make these easier to get on, I attached a luggage strap for leverage Put on the toe part first and pulled Then disconnected the straps. Practiced at home in my easy chair. Never used them in the field. Luckily the weather (in Iceland) was above freezing in April. I thought about getting something DRY to stand on and them putting them on the shoe first, and then put the shoes on. Definitely buy a bigger size if you can. They seem to stay on ok. Easy to put on "Caty-wumpus" if not careful. But that should still work ok. I put them on the shoes (not wearing them) and left on for a few days. They stayed on. Thought maybe it would stretch them a bit. Don't know since never tried after that. They went through TSA as checked or unchecked luggage. I liked them, but never tried in the snow or ice.

Oh what fun it is to run and sing....on the ice!
I placed a great amount of trust and confidence in my purchase. I am a tropical bird that lives in Louisiana so my experience running on the ice and snow was zero. I vacationed in Tahoe this December and placed them on my shoes overnight (carried them down the hallway) ....the initial stretching was tough.....but it is a plastic item so treat it like a ballcap and do some pre-stretch before just slapping them on the shoe and hitting the ice. Then I ran...I was able to run very fast and with confidence that I was not going to slip and slide all over the place. I was not disappointed. Up until my first ice run, I was concerned that I should have purchased the more advertised brand. But those concerns evaporated very quickly! Highly recommend and they are now a part of my northern winter running travel kit!

Nice but maybe not for large shoes
I was hired to photograph a hockey pre-game ceremony that required me to be on the ice. I’ve been on the ice with pain shoes before but wanted something with more grip to reduce my risk of falling on the ice. I wear a size 13 tennis shoe and these slip on cleats seemed to be stretched as far as they would go…I mean they fit but seemed like they were going to snap at any moment trying to get them on. I opted to keep these cleats and tried them on some dress shoes with a shorter sole and they weren’t as hard to put on. On the day of the photo shoot, I quickly slipped them on my dress shoes and walked to the center of the hockey rink with no issues. You can hear the spikes piercing the ice which is comforting but time will tell how long they last.

Good for training runs on black ice.
These make it possible to run on black ice! No, you're not going to run fast with them, but you can at least run without crashing. I'm not sure that I'd trust them on steep hills, but they are pretty secure on flat ground and gentle rollers. Good value. A tip: When putting them on, adjust them so that little spikes are directly under your forefoot. When I used mine for the first time, I found that one foot kept slipping when kicking off the ground, but the other foot was fine. I started wondering if I had a more asymmetric stride than I realized. But it turns out the spikes on the foot that kept slipping were just an inch or so too far forward. The rubber is very stretchy, so I just adjusted them a little, and the slipping stopped immediately.

Good on ice
These proved to be good in ice. The were light weight and easy to get on.

Easy to put on and take off
I am new to cold weather running and these are amazing! The pack comes with extra spikes also. I wear a Womens 9 but run in a size 10. These are easy to put on and remove. Also, they keep me from slipping on the ice really well. I have only used them a few times, so time will tell regarding durablilty, but I'm happy so far.

surprisingly effective
On shoe size 11 it appears that this will not work because the spikes are way too far forward on the front. They are not directly on the ball of the foot where they should be. Why were these designed that way, I would like to know, as it seems such a big design flaw. But having experience now with 3 types of traction aids I was quite surprised that the darn things actually work and do so as well as others of a less aggressive type. I can't believe it, but they seem to work comparably to Yaktrax, if not a little better, and this on slick ice. I mark down the stars only because of the apparent misplacement of the spikes. However now I tried them on even slicker ice, and they do not work well. This type of traction aid has it's place, and that place is NOT trail running on super slick ice.

These were pretty tight - hard to get on…
They were not easy to put on. I’m not sure if they HAVE to be that hard to put on in order to stay on securely? I’m kinda thinking size up if you can. Work well on ice.

Want to get out in the winter, these are the dogs danglies for any runner or dog Walker
These so far have proved phenomenal, my wife had a severe brain injury as a result of ice a few years ago, she has naturally become massively fearful of ice but is also now an avid runner, we have got our worst ice here that we have seen in years so I bought these. With trepidation she set off today on every road and street locally covered in sheet ice. And returned 11km later with me worried absolutely delighted and never having slipped at all. A really sound investment but yet to be tested for lasting durability, however in her circle of running friends who have all be housebound due to the ice, I have shared the grips with her. Nb I don’t run at all but I don field sports and shooting so will be looking for another set but need size 12uk. So far these have been superb and not stopped her whatsoever which is brilliant

A Great Success!
I bought these for my husband because when his wellies were slipping when we were out walking the dog. We had our doubts at first, but they work really well. "Brilliant!" (his words)

Almost impossible to fit
I bought two pairs of these one Large/Extra Large for my size 43 shoes/boots and one Small/ Medium for my wife's size 37s. I tried the Large/Extra Large on my shoes and couldn't get anywhere near fitting them despite a lot of difficult pulling and stretching of the rubber. I the tried to fit them on my wife's size 37s and only just managed after a lot of difficulty. The Small/Medium definitely wouldn't have gone on and given how much effort it had taken to fit them to much smaller shoes than they were designed for they'd be no good for daily use where we'd need to take them off and put them back on outdoors whenever we visited shops/ restaurants etc.
