Simple addition

Lost our first hook, so I figured I'd run down to hardware or outdoors store to pick one up. Holy Smokes! All I could find was large, expensive ones! This arrived fast and fit the bill. Happy birds!!!

It is very sturdy!

Purchased for a diode Christmas tree in front of home. The one inch bracket diameter needed to be enlarged to fit over the tree trunk covered with wiring. Took quite an effort with hammer and vice to enlarge the 1” bracket a bit, but I got it done. ( product has a high carbon content, is is very strong steel) It now fits over the tree trunk and wiring, and will work as planned. It’s really quite a unique in its design.

Gives you extra arms for your Shepherds hook

I bought the eight inch one to try it first which I hung a whirligig from. But I will be ordering the sixteen inch one for my hummingbird feeder to hang from. I couldn’t find the longer one unfortunately.

Solved my racoon problem!

I needed a way to prevent racoons from wrapping my birdfeeder around the hanging pole, which was destroying my feeders. I don't mind them getting some seeds, but they had already destroyed one feeder and this one was getting damaged, too. I put the small end of this pole through the hanging wire and used a 6-inch bungee cord to fasten the large end to my hanging pole. It worked! The racoons are able to reach out and scoop out some seeds, but the birdfeeder stays in place! All for around $8! This is a big win for me!

Great feeder pole add-on

This is an add-on I like well enough to have bought a second. The first is on a shepherd's pole, on the thicker section where an arm attaches to the pole. I wasn't sure if it would work, since that section is not actually round, just two round pieces soldered together. However, it stays put in wind and bad weather and squirrel attack, holding a Brome Squirrel Buster Standard. There are birds, including cardinals, feeding, but no squirrels. I'm able to hang three feeders this way, which is great. It does come down if I'm not careful when I refill the feeder, but it's simple to put back. I just bought a very tall feeder with a 1 1/4" diameter and put on one of these for holding a seed cake feeder for woodpeckers. That is working well, especially since I can't reach other feeder arms without a stool. I have a Slinky (squirrel deterrent) hanging on the feeder, but it hasn't gotten in the way. This is one of the few Droll Yankees products that is (at under $8) reasonably priced, and I recommend it as an easy way to add on a lightweight feeder to your existing set-up.

Great item / great price

This is in my opinion ingenious. It’s simple and effective and very attractive. No screws or bolts- took about 3 seconds to install. Great price as well. I’m super happy with this purchase.

Does the job for an excellent price

Ok, none of these twisty things are "easy" to put on until you figure it out. Not that hard, but always annoying even though I've dealt with this kind of thing a bunch of times. They include a little picture cheat sheet, which is really nice of them. That said, these things are VERY useful for adding a little more hanging space for a small amount of money. I put it on a 1" pole and it fits perfectly. The TINY loop at the end is not as versatile as it could be -- you pretty much have to thread your s-hook through it instead of just hanging it.

Very happy with this product

Very happy with this product. It is similar to hooks we have from Stokes that were discontinued, so we were happy to have find an alternative. We love we can put multiple hooks on a pole. It makes for a very attractive display of hanging baskets and bird feeders. Our thoughts about the spiral hook are mixed. I can see that it will help keep items from coming off in windy conditions. but the spiral makes it a little more difficult to hang/take down items--in particular hummingbird feeders that are filled with liquid. But, considering this appears to be the only item of its kind that will work on a 3/4" pipe, we're very happy to have found them. We will purchase again, if we need them.

Holds bird feeder well

I have a bird feeder with mixed bird seed on my pole and wanted another one to hold a feeder with just sunflowers, a favorite of chickadees, woodpeckers, nuthatches, blue jays, etc. I also have a baffle to keep squirrels from getting at the feeders.

Nich zu empfehlen für Balkongeländer oder Fallrohre

wollte diesen Hacken für meine Hängevogelfutterstation verwenden für meinen Balkon - nicht empfehlenswert. Zwar sehr stabil, aber nicht verstellbar.... Schade!
