Was too big for our tub or our shower.

why didn't I buy this sooner?
I have a walk-in shower with no built in benches so I have been wanting one of these for 3 years since we moved in. I kept reading reviews and not making a decision until I had foot surgery and also broke my arm. It was too dangerous for me to stand in the shower. I am much better now and can take my showers standing up but this is still handy for shaving my legs.

Please measure your tub or shower
Very wide shower stool that does not fit my 1980’s bathtub. Please take time to measure the inside most narrow part of your bathtub. Easy to put together and sturdy.

Great shower bench
Just received this, and I'm very happy with it. Was super easy to put together. Probably only took 2 minutes and only required 5 bolts which were included. I like the height also. It goes to 22". Others I looked at only went to 18". It makes it easier to sit down on. Seems very sturdy also.

Great Value for $32 Price
Like: Price of $32. Gray color, to me, is more pleasing than the typical white color. Adjustable legs, with drain holes at bottom of legs are excellent. Dislike: "X" leg crossbars, when completely screwed down by "thumb screws," do not fully nest into recessed grooves in bottom of seat. I weigh 210 pounds and the brand new seat supports me but bends and wiggles slightly. Perhaps this is acceptable, but I found it a bit unnerving.

Good purchase
Perfect for my Mom to use in the shower. Loved the adjustable legs. Makes it more useful for different heights

Good quality
I liked that it’s smaller than I thought. I went by site and ordered, however it’s big enough for me and easily moved around in the shower. No problems so far. Just Be sure to read the measurements because it is a small one.

Bath seat
I thought it was very safe but the leg wag slipping out of the locking slot. I could not return it. So I'm stuck with it.

Not for heavier individuals
Purchased as a replacement for a bench with a cracked seat. Despite its up to 400 lb capacity I would NOT recommend this for heavier individuals. The screws constantly needed to be tightened and after weeks of use at under the recommended capacity, the legs started spreading during use creating a safety hazard. A heavy duty bench with a cross bar in the middle to hold and stabilize the legs would have been better. I had this on my original bench however was falsely lulled into believing this bench could be a suitable replacement due to the weight restriction. This bench should be classified to a much lower weight capacity.

Dangerous and unsafe
I see nowhere to contact the seller, but I need to warn people this product is Dangerous and should not be used. As you can see in the picture the legs gave out and I was trapped unable to stand until someone came to help. Product says it supports up to 400 lbs but I am half that and it was unable to support me. Seeing from other comments people have experienced the same, avoid this product and buy something safe. This product should be discontinued it is seriously defective.

Do not buy this!
I don't normally write reviews but here goes. After reading some of the reviews ( specifically the bad ones), I thought they were exaggerating or one offs. Let me begin by saying my weight is 150 pounds. At first, the bench performed perfectly. After about 5 weeks, the legs of the bench were starting to noticeably sprawl. I tightened the screws thinking they loosened from the last time they were tightened. The next day, it happened again and to a greater degree. This brought to mind the reviews I read with people falling after the bench broke. I was worried about that happening to me and re-injury. I was being extra careful while bathing and putting less weight on the bench just in case. Once my full weight was applied, the legs could be seen to visibly spread. That was it. I stopped using it. After I could stand on my own for showers, I considered selling the bench online. The bench worked fine on a dry surface with no issues. On wet tiles, be very wary. I will try to get my money back, otherwise it's going into recycling.

Essential!
After a new rental apartment fell through, my mum (a disabled senior) ended up staying at / temporarily living at a hotel with a bathtub shower, not a walk-in shower like in her previous rental home. The hotel didn't have any walk-in showers, period, even in suites. She couldn't shower at all, or have a bath, so I bought this shower seat in the hope it might help. It sure did! I chose this seat because it's wider, has handles, and has a 300 lb weight limit. I also saw a review that mentioned you don't need tools to assemble it. It's true, no tools required. It's extremely easy to put together and adjust for height. My mum likes being able to relax on the seat and not feel like she's going to fall off. And she feels more secure knowing she's only about half the weight limit. This seat helped my mum feel so secure, she got in and out of the hotel bathtub shower without any help, and she felt Wonderful after her first shower in two long weeks! The stool height adjusts, so it stows away under furniture, or can be disassembled easily. My mum "tested out" the stool before I put it in the bathtub for her the first time. I realize it's important to feel comfortable with an item like this before using it in a different setting (shower) for the first time. I kept the product box (not the bigger Amazon shipping box) so the shower stool can be easily, safely transported in future. Note: the rental that fell through was for both of us, so she didn't move in with me because I was at the hotel too. I'm not heartless ;)

Not just for the bathtub...
Bought these two seats so that I could allow myself to get down the stairs with a broken ankle. the fact that the legs are adjustable makes it perfect for me to be able to come up to the top of the stairs with my wheelchair pivot on my good leg and sit down on the top seat then move my leg down a couple steps and pivot down onto the lower seat and then be able to stand up and get out of the house. we have a third seat with a back on it for the tub but this really solved a problem for me being able to get out of the house!
