Poor workmanship costing more than expected
I have had mine now for about 6 1/2 months. I will tell you that the frame is built like a tank. Just about anything else I’ve had to deal with has not been quite as well engineered. The very first time I sat in mine a tiny little safety cap covering a screw point on the height adjustment knobs fell off. It truly fell out right into my lap the very first time I sat in the walker. Reading the warranty I figured I’ll call for help. I did. In order to get a new little safety, cap, the size of maybe half of a penny I would need, according to the company to go to another retailer and buy an entire new set of knobs and install those. This, after only hours of unpacking my walker and dealing with a manufacturing defect or sloppy workmanship. So that’s added to my overall price of the walker. Then I’m walking down Santa Monica Blvd. here in town, and I hear a loud clink behind me. I didn’t think much of it since there’s so much traffic noise out there, but I chose to look over my shoulder anyway and found a magenta safety clip for folding the unit lying in the middle of the sidewalk. I looked around and couldn’t find any screws to reattach it so I tucked it in my pocket and brought it home. Once again, I write to Drive for help and once again they’re telling me they don’t have parts and that I once again have to go to another retailer in order to buy some. Not buy just two bolts, they had me buy the entire magenta unit clipping device. I now have two of them. I have no idea what I will do with the second magenta clip, except for maybe hold onto it to remind me of Drive’s lack of warranty service, as well as poor workmanship stings me. Just how hard would it have been for them to actually have their folks properly screw down this clipping unit so it wouldn’t fall off by simply walking down the street. I asked them only for a couple of screws to re-mount the part. It turns out that they are bolts and not screws but now I really resent having to buy an entire second unit plus tax, plus shipping and then needing to spend an incredible amount of time with my trembling fingers and failing body while trying to install a part that fell off due to shoddy workmanship. Even just needing to turn the unit upside down to install the new partnwas incredibly difficult for me. Seriously, this probably would’ve taken somebody else 10 minutes max to install, but it took me well over an hour. I’m really not sure exactly what kind of warranty service they offered because each time I asked for help they made me buy more. My $300 walker is now probably worth about $375 due to extra parts, and now there’s this. Last night, for whatever reason my walkers front wheels, began shimmying back-and-forth. I have no idea why and there is even a rubbing sound coming from one of those wheels but I can’t find out where. With this shimmying, I am now having to steer with every step just to keep it moving in a straight direction. For a mobility walker, this is not much assistance. Like I said, the frame is great, but I am even having trouble even with the basket. Imagine being an old guy like me with mobility and fine motor skill problems, and have half the basket fall off of in the middle of downtown East Hollywood and getting on one’s hands and knees with shaky trembling fingers to try and remount it with pedestrians and cars are whizzing all around. I am giving the unit only 2 stars because no matter how well the frame is built, in my experience the workmanship for the rest of the unit has been shoddy. I gave it two stars for maneuverability only because I had it for just 6 months before it went bad. Stability? This thing is shimmying back-and-forth because of those front wheels. That makes the entire unit shimmy shake and not at all feel stable. If there was another rating for customer, service and warranty service, I would give them a minus grade. Although they did get back to me in a timely manner, they offered me nonassistance whatsoever, except for the opportunity to go spend money for additional parts that should never have fallen off the unit in the first place. Or wheels that should not be shimmying after only six months of purchase. The photo on the left illustrates the 10 cent cap that cost me over $25 to replace. This was not my shoddy installation, it is Drive’s. The picture on the left shows where the missing cap originated. The second picture on the right shows the new folding clip in place and the old one sitting pretty close to it. Nowadays, I have to travel with the Allen wrench just in case I need to perform repairs on it before I get home. I was so happy that I had an Allen set handy because they didn’t even send me a matching Allen wrench to install the part. For two bolts, this unit got quite a bit more expensive to repair Drive’s own manufacturing defects and lack of quality control. The part did not fall off because of anything I did to it, but because of as I said incredibly shoddy workmanship and lack of quality control. How did they send this out with the unit installed so improperly that it falls off walking down the street? And that doesn’t even take into account that they absolutely have refused to stand behind their product. They have lost me as a customer for a 25 cent screw cap, and 50 cent pair of bolts. With tax, shipping and outlay that turns out to be well over $50.00 over what I paid for less than a dollars worth of parts. I truly dread to see what it’s gonna cost me to replace these wheels and whether or not I’m even capable of doing the job. This walker has become very expensive. Maybe mine is a lemon, but really I am not the worlds happiest customer.

I have 2 Nitro rollators
I already own the Drive Nitro Heavy Duty rollator, now 3 yrx old, that is designed for bariatric patient use, but it's too wide to fit through the 23" frame to the bathroom and the 25" frame to my bedroom in my apartment without tugging the seat to half-collapse it. If I do that, it's more difficult to maneuver and not as secure. Even for this model, I had to have the door removed from the bathroom to just ease it through, but at least the Drive cup holder I ordered and attached to the side folds just enough that it too clears the doorway. I now leave the larger model in my car trunk for use when I am out, because it allows me to sit if I need to, and fold and slip the new one along the covered back seat of my Camry. I'm too large to use the seat of the standard sized model, but It's been invaluable as I recovered from my second bout of covid followed by flu. I'm used to navigating around my apartment using furniture and door frames to steady myself, leaving the heavy duty rollator in the kitchen to provide me with a balance point as I move around, or a seat when I do the dishes. But I was far too weak and unsteady for that to be an option for almost a month of covid and flu. Because of the tight layout in the bathroom and because I'm a tenant, it was not practical to install secure hand grips to help me step in and out of the tub. Now I can park and lock the brakes on the new rollator, then adjust the height of the handles to exactly what I need to safely step in and out as it's solid enough not to tip over under normal circumstances. I have to navigate 7 steps to the foyer and exit of my secure building, and even the standard model is a little heavy to fold and heft up the steps myself but I'm managing. The heavy duty model is wide enough that I can place a full-sized laundry basket across the seat to corral groceries or other things I need help moving to and from my car, or when I am out shopping. If I suddenly need to sit at the grocery store, I can easily shift the basket of groceries from the seat the floor and rest until I can continue., The basket is too large for use with the standard model, but I found a tote bin that I can use to help me take out the trash safely. The handles raise just high enough that the back strap can be raised as well and the edge of the tote bin slipped beneath it so it's reasonably secure. But as I can't use the seat myself, it's much more useful for me inside my apartment than out and about. The Drive Nitro rollators may seem pricey, but they are an investment and absolutely worth every penny for their durability, stability, usefulness for things as simple as bringing a plate from the kitchen to the table that can't be done easily with the folding aluminum frame style walkers, very easy maneuverability around obstacles and in tight areas, and the ease with which they handle outdoor terrain. Neither my primary insurance nor Medicare would pay for these models and that could be a barrier for some people, and I am fortunate that I could afford to self-pay for something that is so much safer and more practical for my needs. NOTE: Get hand sanitizer or alcohol wipes to use on the grips and other parts of your Drive rollator, dispose of the used wipes in a plastic sack or receptacle you carry in the net basket, and follow up by using hand santizer or wash your hands thoroughly after being out in public. I'm immune compromised now and didn't realize that I was recontaminating my hands every time I used my rollator, and I kept picking up colds or other illnesses no matter how carefully I was masking and cleaning my hands. I contacted Drive customer service and was emailed a file with instructions for cleaning and for sanitizing, Bleach based products may discolor the grips and seat and eventually damage them.

Has really helped me get around
I haven't had any problems with this rollator. It is well-made. It turns sharp corners very easily and just by pulling up the center strap on the seat It will fit through a narrow doorway. The seat is nice when you can't stand very long because you can sit down wherever you are, though I imagine if you weigh more than 200 pounds it would be a tight fit to sit in the seat. I've used the curb helper and it works well. It wouldn't work on stairs very well because there isn't enough of a flat surface to get all of the wheels on the same level. It works well on our gravel road, but, it's a little tougher to use on our gravel driveway because there is a lot of gravel that isn't packed down. I have not used it on a muddy surface so I can't speak on that. The mesh bag is okay. It's kind of floppy and it is difficult to get things in and out of the bag. I end up leaving it unzipped most of the time because it is such a pain in the rear to use. It needs to be designed differently and a different fabric needs to be used. I expect that the mesh fabric and zipper will not last long, especially with heavy use. The additional cup holder you can purchase is a disappointment. It is really only for water or soda bottles, or that shape and size container. It doesn't fit any cup or travel mug that I have.

Great product
I needed a Rollator walker and after talking with other owners decided to get this Drive Rollator. Very happy with it. It is light weight which makes it a little easier to use on a few steps. But it’s not designed to use on a full stair case. I would like to see it made with pneumatic tires, but that’s not a deal breaker. I see a lot of this Walker around. It comes in 3 sizes so make sure you’re getting the right size for you.

Great piece of kit
I am delighted I bought this walker. Although it is designed for out door use it is great in my house. It is broad which makes it tricky to get through some doorways but apart from that It is easily manoeuvred. The seat provides a good quality rest, great back support. It is easily folded and goes into the car boot without any hassle

Very good
I am sending this nitro back, it's a shame because it's really nice to use. The only problem I have is, because of rheumatoid arthritis in my hip, I have trouble getting up from the seat. I can't push myself up properly, so it makes my hip hurt. Apart from that, the seat is really comfy. It's a shame it's got to go back, as I was hoping it would suit me, but I do think it's worth getting, if you can push yourself up ok

No assembly required
Ideal for giving extra support and a seat when you need it. Folds up and doesn't take up too much space. Well made and sturdy, but not too heavy. Come already assembled, which is a real bonus.
