Love these cutoff wheels! I especially appreciate the quick change feature; before I discovered these, it seems that I spent my valuable time unscrewing the top of the mandrel and painstakingly threading the tiny screw through the new cutoff wheel, and heaven forbid if you tighten it too much. The wheel would crack, and then you start all over again. I find the method of attachment to be easy and quick. Then why the 4 star review, instead of 5? Although they are a pleasure to use and enable me to do my work better and quicker, there are a few “flaws” that could be improved upon. Dremel, take heed… For a “heavy duty” cutoff wheel, these things are snowflakes. Granted, the wheel itself is capable of most things asked of it, but the fittings are unbelievably delicate. If the prongs are not getting loose, the entire circular fitting attached to the prongs often decides to shear off of the wheel, rendering it useless. I am extra careful, well remembering how many of these things I’ve had to throw away because of their delicacy, but the fittings will still disengage with very little provocation. And heaven forbid you try to carry around your Dremel tool with the wheel assembly still in it. No matter how careful you are with it, when you reach for it, you will find a loose wheel spinning around those brass fittings. I hate that I have the unbelievably great cordless Dremel tool (ok, I have 2 of them-one should always have backup) and its versatility is diminished that one must handle those wheels with kid gloves. Very frustrating, as these things are not cheap. Still, for my purposes, I’ve not found anything better, so I continue to buy and use them. This product could be a solid 5 star item, if Dremel would just address the attachment aspect.

Great improvement over old type
These wheels do wear out, and they can break, but they also last about 20 times longer than the old style ones. Way easier to change out and no messing with the micro screw. It makes the Dremel easy to use and is a great tool to use for cutting when you don't want to get out the angle grinder. Sometimes you have to, but usually the Dremel with these discs will cut most things.

Robust little cutter
I use this type of cutter on projects that require getting into tight spaces. excellent cutting of frozen or damaged nuts or lugs. Cuts sheet metal nicely as well. Great little wheel with the fast change part it fits into for a dremel type tool.

Working great with Dremel tool
I used these for working on heavy plastic/acrylic and they work fine as long as you don't go overly fast.

Handy attachment for Dremel.
I use and purchase these disks regularly. They wear down quick and sometimes break, but still worth the money.

they work well but honestly expensive
they work well but honestly expensive. At a few dollar the piece, every cut of metal you do becomes expensive. Sometimes the cutting wheel it self will end up more expensive that the metal you are cutting. Its nnly good for a few little project where you absolutely need high precision and that is worth it. To use it everyday you need to be working on monarch jewelry or its too expensive in my opinion. The system to change it quickly is amazing but again still too expensive in my opinion

Great for autobody work
Been using this to cut 18ga sheet metal for automotive repair. Sometimes a die grinder can't fit into small enough places and this was recommended. Way better than the standard cut off disc's, even though they're more expensive and you need to buy the adapter, they are well worth it. They're pretty tough as well, I've only been using one for the last week and it hasn't broken yet.

Great little cut off wheels
I use these a lot for a variety of garage projects. Excellent quality and 1 disc will last a good amount of time for light work. I've used these to cut 1/8 inch steel with no issues. To date, I have not had one break apart like the cheaper non reinforced types. A pack lasts a while and you will get far more use from these over the long run despite the higher price. A word of warning. When using the self adjusting chuck on high speed they tend to wobble and the tool makes a horrible high pitched sound. One of my rods actually bent like this. (I have the Dremel XPR 400) The collet seems to hold these discs a lot better at max tool speed. This issue is with the chuck/collet however, not the cutting wheel.

Love the EZ Lock. Hate the durability!
Its about time that Dremel offered a superior EZ lock system for cutting wheels like these. Its always been a pain attaching accessories to the the Dremel tool. Hopefully they will switch their other accessories to the EZ Lock system, where applicable. These metal cutting wheels are slow and arduous at best. Their durability sucks. I paid good money to get 5 cut-off wheels (Model EZ 456) that couldn't cut through 8 - 2 inch long cuts of 1/8 inch steel. I used all 5 wheels and had none left to cut through the rest of the metal for my project. They wear down to nothing in minutes. Their price should be a couple of bucks for 5 wheels....max. They are not worth any more. These blades should be reserved for cutting off nail heads only and you may get some use out of them. I had to go back to my 4-1/2 inch grinder with a fine Diablo metal cutting blade to finish my project. It was tricky cutting using a 4-1/2 inch grinder but it worked. I have also purchased an EZ Lock diamond blade. Am crossing my fingers that I am not as equally disappointed with it. Disappointed with Dremel's advertising.....to say the least.
