Nothing compares to Doc Martens!
I grew up on Doc Martens and continue to love them. These fit great, as expected. They look amazing and people comment on how nice they look. I've probably owned 10 pairs of Doc's going back to the late 80's, they're always in style and are strong and sturdy and worth the money.

One of my favorite DrM Styles
I've always loved Dr Marten shoes. I've owned several pair over many many years. I usually stick with two different styles. This style has a more stiff upper ankle and the other is the padded ankle (brown shoe in the photo). Both are incredibly comfortable and can last what seems like forever. This stiff upper ankle style can take a few days to break in. When I first put them on, I have to wear thick socks as I always tend to get a blister where the upper portion rubs against the back of my foot. However, after wearing a couple times, this is no longer an issue. The leather stretches and softens pretty quickly. That's the one reason why I sometimes where the other style. I mostly wear the other style if I'm going to be doing a lot of walking. To me, these shoes are workhorses. They can handle a huge amount of abuse. While (to me) they are incredibly great looking, I usually am wearing these for working around the house or the car. I prefer the black when I'm working on my car. They can maintain a nice look regardless if I scuff them or get some oil/grease on them. The sole is also nearly indestructible and great when working on slippery surfaces I've read some reviews where people can tell the difference on newer vs older and where they are manufactured. Perhaps I've been pretty lucky, but I haven't had any issue with these shoes. I'm wondering if they somehow are purchasing knock-offs. I'll continue to buy Dr Marten shoes as long as they are in existence and they maintain the high quality and relative good value. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend these to anyone.

Doctor Marten's came through and replaced. I recommend the UK-made Docs.
DM came through. So, my first pair of Doc Martens are still going strong after 23 years of regular wear, this pair I purchased is not. I have 5 other pairs, all in various states, mostly very good. My newest of those 6 pairs is maybe 17 years old. I have no concerns with any of them, other than wear-and-tear. This pair I purchased in December 2016 blew out the Air Wair sole in less than 6 months. I used some shoe glue to repair, but they have continued to come undone. At first, the quality on these appeared to be superlative. I'm very disappointed in the lack of quality in this pair of shoes. I recently did some research, discovering that they closed most of their UK manufacturing facilities and now manufacture in Thailand, and maybe somewhere else. This came as a shock to me. I've seen that problem with the soles is not an uncommon problem. I have always advocated for Doc Martens shoes and boots, and will continue to do so, but will also from now only recommend the UK-made shoes. Sure, the price is easily double. My first pair is 23 years old and still good. That's is a value that can't be made up for with a lower price. Incredibly disappointing. UPDATE: After contacting Dr. Marten's, I was asked to provide pictures and a detailed description, then answer some questions. I received a return authorization. Adter the shoes were inspected, i received a new pair within a few weeks. Made in China. I still intend to purchase only UK made DM shoes and boots from now on, but these seem to be holding up fine.

Great pair as always!
The only shoe that does not give me blister and long distance.

I still love them.
I want to start of by saying I love Dr Martens. I’ve been wearing them since i was nipper back in the 12th century. Ok, times have changed and with it all social and geographical boundaries have been crossed and recrossed. Each new generation has claimed to be the true generation that will be wearing their 1460s while the revolution that was going to be televised was called off because no one watches cable anymore. Yes, quality has dropped and getting the inexpensive and unequaled quality bouncing soles that I used to buy, is as far away as the countries that these are now outsourced too. There are of course the more expensive made in England line which at a price duplicates the ones from my youth that were very affordable and didn’t involve having to sale your granny. As much as we hate the Chinese outsourcing just bare in mind that they made this move to avoid bankruptcy. So for the people that complain that they're not as good as they used to be, remember that you came pretty close to not having anything to complain about, other than your Vietnamese Converse. What most people don't know is Doctor Martens had a twin brother called Solovair which are still made in England at the Doctor Martens factory. Prices are pretty high but they're worth checking out. A piece of advice. I've seen some photos where the leather has split, but they also looked like they've not been cared for. Get some wonder balsam or equivalent and condition them often. They'll crease around your foot nicely and stay protected from whatever nature throws at them.

Good solid shoes.
I don't have a car and so tend to walk a lot. Unfortunately, most "smart" shoes (i.e. standard black, office type shoes) available on the high street seem to be designed with only the short walk between your front door and your car at one end, and the car park and your desk at the other and fall apart if you actually try to walk any substantial distance in them. These are both comfortable and hard-wearing (although when brand new they had a very sharp bit of leather poking up at the heel which was very painful for a few days before they wore in). The quality of Dr Martens does seem to be very variable these days. This pair are very good. I bought a pair (slightly different design) a couple of years ago which while usable, were much less durable.

Excellent Quality Shoes, Sometimes at a Great Price
Sometimes available for less than $100; the shoes are well worth it at that price.

she decided to try these as 'every one has them at school' they are amazing and we are very happy with them
My daughter is very heavy on school shoes as she has to walk down muddy tracks and through a field, she decided to try these as 'every one has them at school' they are amazing and we are very happy with them, ordered a 7 when she is normally an 8 but fit really well, didn't need to bed them in and are very comfy, hope these last longer than any other shoe we have had, They are almost bombproof and look to last years, happy purchase

Amazing.
great quality. good value for money and durable. Personally, I wear these shoes to school which i find brilliant as they are perfectly comfortable and will last me a while. At first they were quite sore and uncomfortable and a few blisters formed on my feet but i put plasters on and the shoes soon softened into my shape and I now wear them all the time and love them.
