Not what I was expecting, I really like them!
I wasn't sure about these. The reviews were so all over the place that I really wasn't sure what I was getting. I have the 24 tin of Derwent watercolor pencils which I haven't used much but when I have I've really liked them. Strangely (and maybe I wasn't using enough water) it seemed like the watercolor pencils didn't activate with water as well as these graphite ones. I used them for both of my horse pictures and used water with one but left the other dry. Very subtle I can see the different colors of black and Grey's I used on the horses eye picture. I used watercolor to frame it and got a little too crazy so that really takes away from it. The one major thing I was really surprised by was how soft these are. They're really hard to get a good sharp point on and go on so soft that it's impossible to get a thin line. I even wrote next to my messy swatch how soft I thought they were. Softer than say...crayons. Way softer. So keep that in mind. I was also surprised how much they activated and broke down with water and brush. The brown horse activated so much in it's mane that I even went back over it to add strands of hair. But since I used Morse bold lines and more lines under the face and chin and under the neck, those could have probably activated more if I had wanted them to but I left them for a bit of shading. I did use a reference from Pintrest by Tetiana Verstak. The other I didn't use a reference. Lastly, one cool thing about these which I found strange since they're so soft, the erase with a standard d to a degree that you can easily cover or fix a mistake. When you add water you only need a smalI amount and you can push the color around if it's wet enough to the point that you can erase the color completelyby pushing it out of the way. I love the more earthy colors and the kind of dirty quality to the greens, blues and the Abergine (which has a purple tint to it). Obviously I added water to the swatch I made. You can see how I pushed the Abergine to the edges with the water. These are nothing like regular graphite. That was disappointing to me until I worked with them. I really enjoy them and look forward to doing more with them along with the watercolor pencils. I may order a larger tin. But being a new artist, supplies have been sucking me dry. I hope this helps! Happy arting my friends!

10 shades of Grey with some muted variateions, can't tell 3 apart
I like them, they'll be good for landscapes. They do NOT erase as easily as a graphite or carbon pencil. I can't tell 2 of the 12 colors apart maybe 3, the left most bottom 3 of "Cool Grey" "Cloud Grey" and "Storm". I can maybe see a very slight warm/cold variation but 2 of them I can't even looking at the labels, 18 and 22 to be specific. So I'll call it Set of 12 pencils giving 10 colors with a large capability for drawing rocks. I'm generally a Derwent fan but they could have made the warm/cool greys a little further apart and it isn't all that bad if combined with other pencils, they aren't advertised as being vibrant to start with so I'm not shocked or unhappy, just less enthusiastic about them and not inclined to get the set of 24 as I fear that would only provide me another 8-10 actual colors. One star removed for lack of variety, though they have "subtle colors" nailed down well. 1 Star removed for incomplete variety as one color could be diluted to be indistinguishable from one or two others.

Too many Grey's and No Yellow
I watched alot of videos on Graphtint pencils and liked the muted colors, so I purchased them, however, I was disappointed because there was not one yellow. You get 6 various grays which is one fourth of the set. They could have eliminated at least 2 of the grays, to provide room for colors that were lacking.

Nice for sketches
These are good for sketches and setting ideas for some color. However, thses are not lightfast and would not use them for professional pictures. Perhaps for prints. The colors are muted, but the pencils lay down the colors well. They are fun to play with or practice with.

Consistency is Difficult
So, I got these recently because I had received a set of Kuretake Tinted Graphite Pans from SketchBox and I thought with pencils I can direct the flow of color better, but they are very difficult to maintain consistency with and your lines get blurred as the point gets ground down very quickly. I might just need more practice but they are still fun to work with.

Light tint for shading
These graphite pencils are easy to use, lay down nicely, and add a very subtle tint to your shading. I have used them with pencil drawings, ink and watercolor and they work beautifully with each one. I used them for a reflection drawing and they provided the look I wanted. These would be fun to use with coloring pages to add shading and shadow to colors.

Absolutely like this set
Very good, soft graphite pencils. I didn't notice any difference in comparison with aquarell pencils. They are essentially the same, only these come with the wide range of earth tones. The pencils are very well pigmented. The colors of the leads are significantly darker if applied dry. Big negative for missing yellow/red/orange pencils. Also, layering is limitted with these. Overall - absolutely like this set. Mode details on my IG account

Love the soft graphite shine on the finished drawings
These are easy to use with a lovely range of soft earthy colours. When you add water you get a lovely rich quality to your work. When dry your drawings and illustrations have a graphite shine. Really enjoyed working with these and bought the little palette of Graphitint half pans to go with them.

My favourite pencils
I am so happy I decided to buy those! I struggle with coloured pecnils in general as I am rarely happy with the finish I get and the colours are too garish - but those can spread just like paint and the slightly muted colours are very beautiful and unique. They are perfect for using with watercolours, or just by themselves, and they look great when used dry or when wet (which makes the colour much more vivid) . The set of 12 has a really good selection of shades, although I slithtly regret not buying the larger box to get all the colours, as I love them and use them a lot.

I loved it
the colours looks very natural, I tried different pencils and strokes, I want to use them for backgrounds and seems to be perfect this purpose

So far, these are gorgeous
I've read that there are lightfastness issues with these, and that all the colour will fade away on any drawings after a few months, but all the drawings I've done with them are only a week or two old so I've not hit that issue yet. They are very good to draw with - like softer graphite pencils around 2B-4B, and putting water on the drawing after - I use a waterbrush but any small brush will do - transforms it like magic as the colours come alive. I wouldn't use it for drawings I want to last for more than a few months because of the potential to fade, but these are really nice to draw and practice with, and they're a lot of fun to play around with.
