Looks nicew, but there are easier fans to install...

I had just finished installing a NuTone Invent 80 CFM 1.0 sones (fan only) in my powder room, when the motor died on the original Broan 70CFM in the master bath when the house was built, 25 years ago. I bought the Delta Breeze integrity for two reasons; I did not want the vent openings facing down which needed cleaned constantly being over the shower, and I wanted a soft LED light that this model provided (3000k). Too many others were higher kelvin which, to me, is overbearing and too cold looking. After installing the NuTone, which was very easy and intuitive, I gave this a shot figuring it couldn't be much more difficult. Well, first off, if you are replacing an old broan/Nu Tone builder type 747 roaring model that sucks nothing, just note that this is actually smaller than many of them. I was hoping the cover would conceal, but ended up having to patch the ceiling on one side. In hindsight, I would have bought a model with a larger footprint that would have made everything easier. Basically you must connect everything from above and before you try and mount it. That is the next bummer. Our ceiling (attic above) is a truss construction which is 2x4's. None of the predrilled holes or mounting ears will work. Had to remove the guts and drill new lower holes in the frame to make it work. Lastly, once finally installed, while I like the soft/slow start up, the full speed noise at the rated 1.5 sones is significantly louder than the 1.0 I had just installed downstairs, and really not that much quieter than the ancient one that was listed at 2.5 sones. So, the light looks good once installed, but there are definitely easier brands/models out there to install and the difference between the sound ratings at least in my experience is significant. I would not by any fan in the future that was listed over 1.0 sones. Hope this helps.

Great fan! Quiet and easy to install.

The folks who say this is difficult to install probably shouldn't be trying to install any bathroom fan. I installed this fan the first bathroom I renovated, and I was so happy with it that I put one in my other bathroom. It was easy to install, the fan works great, the light is bright, and it's quiet. Make sure to check the instructions for which timers are compatible.

Amazing job keeping humility down.

We bought this to replace the original 26 year old fan that was in our small bathroom. We went from a 70 cfm to this 100 cfm. What a difference. Used to feel a huge difference in temperature when we came out of the bathroom and that is gone. No humidity in in our bathroom. Only a couple issues with installing. This has a 4” exhaust and our old one had a 3”. Bought a reducer and it worked good but had to go into the attic to attach the exhaust tube. Does such a good job we bought a second one for our other bathroom. Not as quite as I would have liked but better than before. Bought a second one for our guest bath. Has a soft start motor as it has to reave up to get to full speed.

Bright light, but I thought it would be quieter

That is not to say it is loud, but I just thought it would be nearly impossible to hear. The light is wonderful, though, and in our small bathroom which did not previously have an exhaust fan this thing works wonders. No more needing to worry about mildew setting in on the ceiling due to lack of ventilation.

Good fan/light for the price

The fan is smaller than I expected. I had to frame in my existing hole to make up the difference. Light is very bright and quick to turn on. Noise level is not bad with no duct work on it, noise will go up as you add piping and elbows. My bathroom is small prob 8x6 works well with getting out odors and steam quickly.

Easy install, extremely quiet

I a huge do-it-yourselfer. From mounting tvs, adding electrical outlets, sprinkler systems, rock walls etc. I love to save money and this was a deal! I almost wanna buy another to have an additional for another job

A proper vent fan

This vent replaced a two decade old vent fan that had seized. The old vent fan was a noisy propeller design. This new vent fan is a squirrel cage type blower- much quieter and better air flow. Easy to install as a replacement. The LED panel looks great and has plenty of brightness. It is so bright that I added a dimmer to tone it down a bit. Very good design and much quieter.

Good replacement for my existing fan

I needed a small-sized bathroom fan replacement (7 1/2 inches x 7 1/4) and this fit perfectly. It moves more air than my existing fan and it is quieter. Also, the light feature is nice and bright.
