For play, not utility purposes

The media could not be loaded. ***NOT MILITARY GRADE*** I chose to hand these out to kids instead of use for work. The first thing I noticed is that these light sticks contain less fluid than true military grade. This affects the lighting capability of the product. The light stick brightness is ok but again, NOT military grade. I have used 4-8 hour light sticks that are MUCH brighter. On the plus side, you do get plenty for you money. For duty purposes, these also make a great impact on kids, more so than a boring pencil or sticker.

Good quality, and the product dose what it promises.

Great product, holds useful light like it said for 6 hours. They don't go completely dim after that. But there's not any useful glow after the instructed time. Very happy with my purchase.

Does what it's supposed to.

I've used these for a variety of applications, from power outages to keeping track of group members during an outdoor, nighttime event. (Easy to spot your peeps when they're wearing a lanyard and glow stick!)

Over priced. Inferior to the cheaper light stick.

The cheaper light stick emits more light for a longer period of time.

Cyalume . . . Accept no substitute.

These came shipped loose from their factory packaging in a zip-lock style bag. D for presentation. I would have much preferred to receive these int their factory cartons. As far as the product themselves, they are not factory fresh, one year less on their shelf life from new production, not too big a deal. They work great, last as long as advertised. Surprisingly they put off just as much light as the high intensity white lights that I ordered, at least to the naked eye, and “burn” for 12 hours instead of 30 minutes. People don’t fool yourselves, dollar store, box retailer and grocery store brands of these products ARE NOT “JUST AS GOOD”. For your safety needs accept no substitute and buy Cyalume. There is a reason they are the top performers in their field.

Works better than expected

Description says the blue ones will last up to 8 hours but they actually stayed at full brightness for about 10 hours then dimmed after that

Great item at this price!

What I received was exactly as pictured - Cyalume written on each wrapper. It's plenty bright for the purpose, i.e. emergency lighting. This is not a flare, but if you put it on a piece of string or paracord and swing it, you'll make a large visible circle of light, but you knew that. I also picked up a few "party" snap lights at local closeout store (they're gearing up for July 4th). Those come 2 per wrapper, are a tad smaller and were 3 double packs per $1. I grabbed some reds and blues. They work ok too, but perhaps not a substitute for Cyalume, which is larger, brighter and the hook is integrated. My guess is that the most useful colors are: blue (utility lighting, you could use green, but it makes everything look weird), white (bright), red (when you want to be able to still see in the dark, i.e. stargazing, camping, etc.) This is the best price I've found and everybody needs more than 1 - put some in your cars, backpacks, first aid kit, home emergency pack, etc.

Bright, great price, long lasting Bug Out MUST!

Excellent chem lights for the money! As mentioned they are very long lasting (depending on the brightness level type / model you choose), exceptionally bright, very affordable, great size & perfect for any emergency situation & bug out bag! I personally keep these in with my 1st aid kit, cant go wrong with these. I would suggest buying whatever color you prefer, and also a pack of white 1's for enhanced / stronger / clearer light output in critical situations.

Valuable.

I got on annual camping trips with a group of friends and these chemlights always come in handy. When you're 12 miles up a mountain, and its pitch black out with zero unnatural light you'll want some of these. I normally get the 8 or 10 hour lights. I find they're the best mix of longevity and illumination. Last trip, we had to setup camp about 6 miles from the closest water source, before getting to our main campground the next day. I put up about 4 of these lights around the camp leading to the trail, and 2 on the trail itself to mark the camp. It worked like a charm. it was pitch black out, other than the for the rifle lights and the shoulder light I've got. but you can spot these chemlights from a mile away in the middle of the dark forest like that. I'll probably get a pack of these every year we go.

Dim lights

The vague description of the product was fairly misleading. These are no better than the 50 packs you can get at the dollar store. Definitely not worth the price. You will be better off buying the cheap 50 pack. I took these for my camping trip thinking I would use them to mark things off at my campsite. Obviously I was not expecting it to be better than my headlamp but I expected a little more than what they gave off. The lights were super dim and not what I would expect from paying $16 for them. I am giving 2 stars because they did last the same brightness for about 8 hours.

Muy recomendable

Es un excelente producto, cumple con lo que indica, yo lo use en el bosque se lo coloque a los niños sobre su ropa e alguna parte visible, es muy fácil de ver en la oscuridad fue unicamente por seguridad, pero los niños super divertidos. Definitivamente buen producto y muy recomendable.

Estos son los verdaderos sticks de luz química, Son la marca de verdad, ellos los inventaron y tienen más experiencia y calidad que cualquier otra chafa que te encuentres por ahí. el precio lo vale, te pueden sacar de un apuro, y van a durar e iluminar muy bien.

"Industrial Grade" depends on what you want to do with it.

"Glows" for at least 8 hours but only really if you want to put it on something to find in the dark. It only gives off significant light (like to see the area around it) for about 30 minutes. Bright to start but drops off fast. Each colour is different so the brighter ones (yellow) seem to have a strong glow longer.
