good case. poor luggage handle

pro: USA made, decent latches, decent price. con: top is slightly caved in, the luggage handle on this is highly prone to twisting and damage. took a chance on seahorse, but will be sticking with the usual brands for personal travel gigs based on the handle alone.

Good overall - some usability remarks

I bought this case for when I travel with computer gear (TSA recommends electronics be carry-on and not checked-in). It is just barely large enough for me to carefully pack a small Toughbook, small desktop, and Thinkpad when I remove most of the padding (I have to take part of it out even at TSA-Pre line). Not only do I use it at the airport, rental car, and hotel, I also use it at the field. I will sometimes sit on top of the standing case (too bad the top isn't a bit flatter). Overall I am fairly happy with the case, though there are a few design annoyances I though I'd share. 1) The clamshell is hinged on the edge opposite relative to all my other luggage, so whenever I reach to open it, I seem to always have it oriented wrong. This isn't a real problem, just an amusing observation. 2) The wheels are rather noisy when rolling over a tarmac surface. 3) The pull is a single shaft which probably reduces weight. A downside is that it when sliding another bag over the shaft to sit on top of the case when dragging it through the airport, the bag is less stable side-to-side than if it were slid over a carryon with two shafts or possibly one with a single wide shaft. 4) I am 5'8" and find that when I am pulling the case, on my backstride, my heel will occasionally catch the case and tip it a bit. I think this would be solved if the shaft were a bit longer (probably not practical), or if the handle drooped like my other luggage (allowing it to be lower and trail further behind) rather than being a T handle. I've somewhat adjusted and pull the case a bit further to the side, away from my body.

Pelican-quality, perfect fit in all overhead bins, LOTS of storage space. Perfect case for video/photo pro.

Absolutely perfect. Amazing quality, especially for the price. I feel this is every bit as good as a Pelican. This was also the perfect size for me after a lot of research. It easily holds my camera body, two larger lenses, batteries and lens adapters, with a LOT of room to spare. The pick-and-pluck foam was easy to configure, and this case has already sustained several drops with no damage to the case or my equipment. The best part: even on small planes, it fits in the overhead bin. (I was on one flight on American with a plane that had only one seat on one side of the aisle, and the smallest overhead bin I've ever seen, and yet, it still fit (barely.) If you're a traveling video/photo pro, this is your case, hands down. Believe me, I looked for a long time.

Built Tough

This case is awesome!! Comes with three layers of foam plus one in the lid. Two of the layers of foam allows you to custom fit your equipment in the case, to minimize movement while inside. The handle is long, as I am 5’ 8” and it comes up to about the lower half of my ribs, when fully extended. It has two locking knobs in the front of the case and the ability to place a small travel size lock on both front ends of the case. To give an idea of what can fit in here, I recently purchaseda few Baofeng MURS-V1 radios, and was able to fit 10 radios, its antennas(separated from the radios), and possibly have just enough space to fit the 6 - slot charger

Great for Camera...

Hold my Canon 70D, Three lenses, battery charger and spare battery and tripod. I did sneak my flash in also, but not sure if it will stay due to the room. This is a great case. I can now put my camera gear in the back of my truck and I am not worried about the weather/ moisture getting to it. Even strapped it to the back of the snowmobile a few weeks ago.... Was super happy I was finally able to take my gear with me as were came across four Moose and I was able to photograph them in the snow.

Great Pelican substitute

This is the second Seahorse case that I have purchased, and I am pleased with both. I flew with this as my carry on with it full of sound gear, and it worked great. This is well worth the money, and the savings are great compared to a Pelican.

This is built like a tank yet is light weight and a good value

Good value, very well built and easy to cut our spaces in the material to hold your electronics, etc. It's also light weight and costs less that many of the brand names I considered - and it's just as well made. Michael

Resistente y de buen materia

El producto es de buena calidad el material es resistente y cumple muy bien su función, en el interior la espuma sirve para cubrir muy bien lo que sea que vayas a transportar, se recomienda
