Helps A Little with My Sciatica Leg Pain

I'm 5'10 and got the 10 inch model. I have tried a few things to help with my sciatica pain (i.e. seat pillows, compression garments, stretches). Not sure if there is a cure for sciatica aside from physical therapy, but i can't engage in that at the moment due to the pandemic (trying to keep distance from everyone and everything). I experience slight pain running up and down my right thigh throughout the day. It is a hard feeling to describe, but its just a feeling that my thigh is not operating as normal. It is lite, but there are moments where it is sharper than usual. I mostly feel it when sleeping and trying to turn from one side of the mattress to the other. Due to the pain, i end up rotating myself to the other side of the bed very slowly. I got this after reading a review that pillow wedges help with sciatica pain. This pillow is to really help me with my posture, to sleep straight in my bed versus sleeping on my side and to help with blood circulation. I feel like i hunch over to help avoid pain to my thigh. As noted, i feel slight pain as if my ham string was ripped, pulled apart, or in the process of being ripped and pulled apart in opposite directions. I got this and i am very pleased with it. It is sturdy and well made. The polyester fabric feels nice against the leg. Nice and cool feeling. I can rub my hands on this material all day. It does help provide slight relief when i wake up in the morning. It is NOT a cure to get rid of sciatica pain. I just wish there was a cure for sciatica because i cannot imagine using this for the rest of my life. Regardless, it helps slightly so that is always a plus.

The reviews were wrong

Bought this for a 5'10 300+ male that has circulation issues with his feet while sleeping. The reviews said this would stop the itching and multiple people said they were the same height and the 10 inch wedge was perfect. It was not. The 8 inch would probably work better. With the 10 inch height, you have to scoot your butt up to the very edge, causing you to arch your back slightly for your thighs and legs to be flat up against the wedge. While this was ok, it cause a different problem, the shoulders start to ache from not being able to lay flat as a result of trying to stay on the wedge. I think the 2 inch lower wedge would have allowed everything to lay flat on the bed as well as on the wedge. But the box/bag is already gone and since its not defective, no refund/return. Ah well.

wedge knee pillow

I purchased this to be able to perform my yoga pose that I can't get on the floor to do any more. Works really, really well. It's lightweight, but firm. There is a zippered cover on the outside of the wedge for cleaning. The only thing that would make this 6 star would be a handle to pick it up with. I am going to sew one on. I never hesitate to update my reviews should new info seem useful. All my reviews reflect my personal experience with the reviewed item and I receive NO free products or discounts that are available to all shoppers.

Bigger than Expected????

I was a little concerned with my feet possibly hanging over the edge but that was not the case. I have room to spare. I am able to easily elevate both legs if needed. The foam is very sturdy with some give. I felt immediate relief during periodic elevations. The 10" height was perfect for my 5'4 frame. The removeable/washable cover is pretty thin yet serves a purpose. I used a lightweight pad for extra comfort and to preserve cleanliness. It had a slight package smell that dissipated after a few hours.

Back help

Recommended by my physical therapist. I use when my back is hurting and lie down with my legs raised. It does help with the back pain.

This is a solid, well-built leg raise pillow. Feels so good!

Update: This may be one of the best purchases for health reasons that I’ve ever made. The recirculation of the blood “from the feet back to the heart” is what this pillow does. That’s the benefit of raised legs. Let me just say, I really “really” needed this. And I can feel the benefit every time I raise my legs to rest on this leg raise pillow. The picture you see is the 10 inch and I’m glad I got it. This is perfect people!!! Raise those legs, help circulate that blood from the feet back to the heart, and your feet, ankles and calves will love you. Aaahh...Feels so, SO GOOD!!!???????????????????????????????????????????????? i’m relaxing in that chair thinking, “I don’t ever wanna get up.” (by the way, I’m a fitness person. I work out / train six days a week.” And, man, this feels good. Think pain relief. Pain relief in my knees. And I also need to fill to eat increase my blood flow “back to the heart.” That’s what raising your legs will do. Now, what you really want to know is this. My legs are propped up now, and I don’t want to ever move. I got this leg raise pillow for the reasons I mentioned above: relieve knee pain and increase blood flow back to the heart. If you don’t know, once you increase the blood flow back to your heart, your feet (snd legs) will feel better. It’s perfect. I am 5’9”, Male. I got the 10 inch. Perfect fit for me. Oh yes, my pillow was delivered in perfect condition. No issues on product delivery or quality when opened.

Works Great

This foam wedge support works great, but if I were to order again, I would purchase the 8 inch rather than the 10 inch. The foam is very firm and the 10 inch is a little high for me. Likely better for someone taller, as I am 5' 8"

Great wedge for elevating legs and feet. Great for back sleepers!

Excellent for back sleepers who like to elevate feet and legs while sleeping. Sometimes gets pushed down, or too far away from my body and I will wake up feeling the stress of lack of support under my knees. But, this wedge is mostly great! I would recommend it and would buy it again.

I hope it wasn't used!

When I got the Restorology Leg Pillow for my mom, it came compressed. Since I needed something bigger, I got the DMI Ortho Bed Wedge, which came in a big box already decompressed; this made me think it was used. I don't know if they sell it like this or not. As for the cover, I hand wash it, since threads were already ripped off when I first took the cover off, making me think that it was used, but the foam was all white and some of the reviews mention the cover being trash, so I kept it. I like the length and height of it, I just wish it was easier to get my legs up on it, but then it would be smaller.

Super helpful

I bought this for my dad after his foot surgery and he uses it every night to sleep and said it helps incredibly to reduce swelling and your foot doesn’t roll off of it during the night. Would highly recommend for elevation after surgery. Many people don’t know you’re actually supposed to be elevated above your heart by 4 inches.

Bed wedge

This bed wedge works very well...the only thing that could be improved would be to have a second one made that wasn't quite as high....about two inches less in height would be perfect for those of us with short legs. I use mine every night and when im watching tv in my room. It does help reduce the swelling thus reducing the pain. Those of us who have jobs where we are on our feet for long periods of time appreciate a leg rest like this.
