Far Superior to Liquid Chalk

I train at a commercial gym and use this chalk primarily to make sure that I can hold onto the bar in the deadlift. I have been using liquid chalk for ease of use and to be inconspicuous. It has worked fine for the past three years. I've been able to hold onto the bar with a double overhand hookgrip recently getting up to a set of five at 470 pounds on the deadlift using liquid chalk. Then, I did some heavy farming for a few weeks that really messed up my grip and the bar was slipping out of my hand on the 4th and 5th reps, using liquid chalk. As luck would have it I was almost out of the liquid chalk and was going to reorder, but decided to switch to regular chalk to see if there would be a difference. The difference in grip switching to this Cramer chalk from liquid chalk was not subtle. Not once during the work set did I think about the bar slipping out of my hand. It was as if the bar was glued to my hands during the entire work set. This is huge, because if the bar is constantly feeling like it is going to slip out of your hands, it can mess up your form in several areas, because it is so distracting. This is the first review that I think I have written on Amazon and I never thought it would be about something as mundane as chalk. Putting the block into a tupperware container makes it just as easy to transport in the gym bag as liquid chalk, but it is far superior for grip. Don't settle for an inferior product for what you might think is a more convenient product.

Great bang for your buck

Great chalk at an even greater value. I do strongman training so i use chalk every time I work out and the 1lb box lasts me about a year. Awesome value

What you receive is not what you order

This is the second time I have ordered Cramer’s Gym Chalk and received crap BSN Sports chalk instead. It crumbles immediately and is very slippery. It is not even close to Cramer’s Gym Chalk quality. I was also charged $38 for this and received an invoice for $23.48. Extremely unhappy.

GREAT product -- been using for years.

I am a head gymnastics coach, and I swear by Cramer Gym Chalk. I have tried MANY different brands and this is by far the best. Other products tend to retain moisture or become slippery after being stored, but Cramer DOES NOT! My gymnasts can always tell if we are using a different brand because it isn't the same quality! Highly recommend!
