Usage and Visibility
I like this timer, it is large and winds well, but the black pointer needs to have a white tip on the top. For some reason it is hard to see the time left. Maybe it is me or maybe the contrast with the black number. I plan on painting the very tip of the sweep arm to make it easier to read. The only other observation is the timer bell is hard to hear, it needs to be louder.

Not as advertised
Purchased this for its 8 second alarm rather than a single bell tone. Turns out the alarm is less than one second and hard to hear it. I wouldn’t have bought it knowing this.

Looks good, not loud enough
Pros: 1. The stainless steel finish matches my appliances. Cons: 1. If you prefer a softer sounding ring then this is what you want. Its fine if you are in the kitchen but if you are 15 feet away on the phone you may miss it. 2. I'm not super confident about the knob construction. Occasionally, I have to play with the knob because it doesn't move after winding it all the way. The body of the device is not a problem. Yea this may last me a year, but I'm not sure it will hold up for say 4-5 years of daily use. My grandmother's old timers that we inherited lasted a long time and were significantly louder.

Best Mechanical kitchen timer~
I am a professional baker and have used these as well as digital timers for years. I find Cooper-Atkins timers to be the most accurate non digital timer I have come across. When using any of these dial timers, you must wind it past the 30 minute mark to then adjust it to the time you desire, if your desired time is less than 30 minutes, otherwise it will not work properly. I am wondering if that was the issue with the previous reviewer..... This timer has a ring that is incredibly significant. As a baker that works thru the night, some timers can be overlooked with everything going, this one, you will hear and it rings for several seconds. With normal use, I had this timer last over a year, now I can go thru them faster but the price reasonable and I find this product top notch.

The TM60 Timer wasn't "NEW" but was used . . had scratches and other signs of use. But the worst was it 'died' about 30 days after I we got it. Also the "bell" was pretty weak b/c of the design of the bottom cover. Inside the 'works' was dusty showing that it wasn't new. But the good news, I was able to refurbish it. I took it apart, used some electronic de-greaser, some light silicone lubricant and finally a dab of watch oil on the balance wheel. Timer now works perfectly. On the bottom, it mostly closed with closed vent holes. They were opened. Also eight (8) holes were driledl in the 'plastic" bottom and now you can hear the timer in the next room.

Nice--but only lasted 6 months
I bought this based on the "professional baker"'s review, and I enjoyed it at first. But it suddenly stopped working, no idea why, and I don't see any warranty info and it's too late to return it. Oh, well. Trying a different brand now (OXO).

Nice LONG Loud Ring
So far so good. Have had this for months and it has a good solid (long and loud) ring and accurate time. It is a bit jumbo sized and I would definitely recommend the proper usage (wind clock-wise all the way to 55 minutes before adjusting back down to the number of minutes you need) as well as storing away from heat on a flat surface. This doesn't have a magnet so it will need its separate spot in your kitchen. We have a noisy home and this has saved many an item when the microwave or oven timers were unheard.
