Longevity

I needed to replace a Coolaroo cover for a 5 year old raised bed. The price is right, the quality superb and the color selections very good. The hardest part of the replacement cover is disassembling the actual bed. The bolts do not want to budge. Spraying with various products to loosen the grip of the rusted bolts was unvalued. Vice grips, a power drill and a lot of creativity was required, as well as two extra hands. Not an easy task at all! Some people have complained how difficult it is to assemble the actual pieces of the bed, but that is a cake walk compared to taking an older one apart. HOURS of annoying attempts. Even putting the unit back together, was hard. That said, the covering is sturdy and my pets enjoy the ability to lounge outside off of the turf.

Barely fits Amazon brand bed

I’m not sure how to rate this bed yet because my pup has only had it for a few days. I bought this as a replacement top for our Amazon brand dog bed. Amazon doesn’t sell a replacement for their brand so I tried this brand. The liner/top definitely is different compared to what we had. The Amazon dog bed felt smooth but breathable. This feels like it is tightly woven with potato & onion sacks. (I hope that helps with a mental picture.) I bought a medium and it barely fit the bed. It was so tight that it was flexing the frame. Overall, I’m happy that my pup has something to rest on again. (She loved her old bed!) Only time will tell if it holds up. I will edit my review later if needed. So far, I’m happy with this purchase.

Love the fabrics!

The media could not be loaded. I’ve been purchasing coolaroo cots since we got our first English bulldog in 2011. I started with 1 large one and had to replace the fabric about 4 times until the frame finally dry rotted/broke in 2020. We bought more cots each time we got another dog so they could each have their own. They stand up well to English and French bulldogs playing on and under them instead of laying on them. Easy to put together! Over the years the screws got better but I would still purchase 4 longer ones to replace those. If using inside, I would also suggest getting 4 crutch tips for the feet so they don’t scratch your wood flooring. The fabric dryrots and the stitching gets loose about year 8. Rust starts on frame around year 6 but it still holds up for another 4 before it’s unusable. Washes and dries easily and plenty of colors to choose from! Some colors are more expensive and seem thicker than others and sometimes plasticky if Amazon send you a generic one. I wouldn’t care if I hadn’t owned these cots since 2011 and know the difference. I prefer the real Coolaroo fabric and not the shinier plastic ones they might send sometimes.

Designed for maneuverability and replaceable netting

We like these “dog cots” a lot. Great resting space for large dogs. Primary reason besides their comforts for the dogs are: 1) they move around easily for use as training tools, and 2) the netting is replaceable when the newest puppy inevitably chews them up beyond recognition. Coolaroo makes it easy and inexpensive to replace the netting. Great design.

For the price and for very active dogs the prices is great!!

Definitely not heavy duty, the dogs scratch them and bite through it but they last 6 months - for the old pups they have lasted longer -I am very pleased with the product - and they have become part of our family we will keep buying and keep it - this brand has been able to last longer than the other brands and I am telling the pups jump on top, fight on top of them and the structure remains as the bed - of course after a long run of bites, scratches and pulls they go down but I am telling from all I have tried in a real point of life for my budget and pups - this has been the longest one, best price and they love it. I will just add the following - I have 11 rescues mostly Labradors retrievers from 1 year old to 12 years old...the younger pups are the ones who bite, scratch, jump etc...two in particular have a lot of anxiety and without teaching them to control the anxiety and to respect the bed no bed will last less than 1 hour, unsupervised just let it be without education there will be no toy, blanket, sofa, or bed that lasts....and leaving the beds to outside rain and sun- runs the beds of life too...I have tried so many brands - so far the only one keeping up with the training and the pups diverse personalities is this one. Of course I have to put some behavioral control points otherwise I will be buying beds every other day....goes with toys, food bowl, furniture, etc. And on the months the pups are in the teeth phase you need to add behavioral control points - and get the special toys to remove the attention toward the beds, furniture, etc....the thing I love more about this beds - it is the structure - does not go funny and i don't have to be jumping to fix the structure and the dogs can go on them trusting it will not jump something - plus they really love the beds....as the other brands they go by themselves and prefer to be more on this beds than the furniture....they are fresh too!!

Great bed and play for dog.

Our dog loves rolling around scratching and clawing at the mat. He is pretty rough on it, but it holds up very well and we usually just replace it when they start to sag a bit or have too many holes in it. Also uses it for sleeping and its one of his favorite spots in the house.

Long time customer & Our dogs love these!! Very Happy

Our dogs LOVE their Coolaroos!! We've been using these for years and both adult dogs and puppies love them. You can clean underneath them and around them so easily. Our arthritic and tri-pawed dogs love these. Plus over the years the coolaroo's have stayed affordable which is huge for multiple pet house holds.

Perfect Fit for Coolaroo Frame

We have three Coolaroo beds and usually have to replace the "fabric" part once a year due to tears or holes. We have LARGE dogs and they love the beds, so they get a lot of use. It's a fairly easy process to take apart the frame, slide off the old cover and put the new one on.

Great bed for our golden retriever

This is a great bed for our golden retriever. She gets quite hot, so this material is perfect and also the elevation of them bed helps. Of course she likes to dig in the garden, but all dirt easily falls off the bed when dry. I hope we can have this bed forever, there isn’t any better solution than this! I changed the fabric twice (it lasts about year and half as she likes to scratch it and puts holes in it). Best purchase for us and our lovely golden girl

1x retriever cross) love their coolaroo beds

my dogs (2x collies, 1x retriever cross) love their coolaroo beds. They are comfortable, cool and don't smell. They are often very muddy and the mud dries then falls through the bed as a dust, where it can be hoovered up easily. This one is a nice bright colour (previous versions were back and green). My only complaint is that these covers last for a year (almost to the day) before stretching and developing holes. Still, the replacement covers are good value and it means that the bed has lasted significantly longer (3 years) than any other dog beds we've had.

Perfect fit and looks we!l made.

This is the second replacement cover I have had now and this one is as good as all the others ,a perfect fit and looks well made.Our dog is eleven years old so on average they will last three to for years I would like to guess.

Brilliant beds.

These are the best beds ever for our collies. They can get on them wet and muddy and get off a bit later dry and relatively mud free.

Disappointed

Was not medium when opened the packet. I had ordered a spare just in case so had for a few months. When time to replace the cover, it turned out to be large had to cable tie in to old torn cover and hope it will do the job until I get another bed
