She loves it, makes mommy happy

My Newfie mix loves being outside even when cold and snowing. I was going to do a doggie electric mat but worried it be to warm for her. First got the cot and then the self warming part. She lays out there for hours on it. Not sure how warm it gets but she has arthritis in 1 leg so wanted something to keep it from getting to stuff. Seems to work. She isn't limping later in the day from the cold. I have the blue mat on the front because it was dripping from the awning and wanted to make sure it stays dry. I do eith bring it in if raining. I do have a plastic baby crib cover I put on over night to make sure it stays. I would so get again.

Better than the accessory bed covers

With 10 dogs in our house, we have 6 pet cots. They get a LOT of use! And having a puppy in the house means something is going to get destroyed! Well, he's managed to chew one whole cot cover and destroyed the slip on cover by digging it up. I saw this and decided to give it a try. It fits tight on even an old frame. At first the dogs would not lay on it, and finally someone did and now they pretty much will all use it. The fleece is short and should wash well and since it's part of the cot, it won't slide like the slip on covers do. When the slip-ons all die, they will get replaced with these. In the summer I can flip them over to the plain canvas side to spare the fleece for the winter. And they are less expensive than the slip on covers!

Inconsistent Quality

After two weeks of use, the cover started to deteriorate. A penny sized hole developed in the fleece and the stitching connecting the fleece to the canvas is starting to pull apart. I purchased the same cover a few weeks earlier. That one has been in place about 2 weeks longer - with no issues. Same dogs using both beds/covers. There doesn't seem to be any consistency in the quality of the covers. Not the first covers by K&H where this is a problem.

Sheds everywhere.

Update: still shedding fluff balls everywhere. They seem to be endless and washing doesn’t seem to help. Easy to put on the frame, seems very well sewn and sturdy. My 60lb English leaps onto it at a dead run and it doesn’t protest. Only qualm is that the fluff sheds like crazy. I’ve washed and dried it three times according to its instructions, trying to just let it shed out but it keeps surprising me with more fur balls. Would not buy again, dogs love it, but it’s as messy as they are…

Great product!

My dog loves it so do I! He cuddles up on it and he is an 80lb American Bully (pit bull)! Worth every penny!

Effective weather barrier for wrapping a pet carrier

I decided to try this as a barrier to the elements for our newly adopted outdoor cat. I use a self-warming pet pad n the bottom inside of the carrier and this item wrapped over the top outside of the carrier. It keeps out light rain and prevents the wind from getting in the carrier. MU cat was much warmer when I started using this. would not recommend this in a totally unsheltered area. I use it on my porch, which provides partial protection from rain, but not much wind protection. My cat stays dry and warm.

Ehh. Not sure I’d repurchase.

When I read other reviews talking about the shedding I’m like okay is it really that bad? Yeah. It sheds and gets everywhere and all under it. And when I vacuum it, it gets stuck in the vacuum roller brush and then flakes off on other surfaces I vacuum afterward. I have two of these in the large size for our two mastiffs beds. Considering I have two, I don’t think the shedding is TERRIBLE but I do notice it throughout the house and especially by the beds. Another con is that the furry part is white (or was for 2 seconds) and is now all stained and nasty, and I’ve only had them a month. Overall I like the idea. If it didn’t shed and was a different color I’d repurchase for sure

Double lined

I like that it’s double lined and can be made reversible. I prefer this warming mat rather than the cooling mat, which I also got for my doggies because warming mat seems more durable and so far no tears on the corners. It would be nice if the warming mat came in defferent color rather than just beige so doesnt start to look dirty after a couple of days. The warming mat also started to shred a little but corners still in tact compared to the cooling mat. Overall, still satisfied with it because my doggies like to chew their bedding if cushion and this is the only one they can use. I got a Large for two 25 lb doggies to share. But in hindsight, I think I should gave gotten two Medium for each of them.

Exceeded my Expectations.

So impressed with the product and the service. I was astounded to receive my product in 24 hours of placing my order. I have a boxer who loves being out in the garage for hours. I wanted a self warming blanket to keep him warm. He loves it. I originally ordered the incorrect cover for the cot and returning the product for the correct one. K&H exchange and return was simple and easy. Will definitely order from K&H again. Highly recommend their product.

quality pet bed

I originally purchased a K and H pet bed approximately 3 years ago. It was well used and i had to replace it. This bed is ideal for our Canadian Winter. I have washed it off a few times(in the shower), and it dries quickly.

I bought this cover as a cold-weather alternative when our dog was diagnosed with cancer. It's very durable, is easy to wash and dries quickly. We have other K&H products and find them well designed and very good value.

Ripped in first few uses

This cover ripped in the first few days. Inside is a foil coloured lining that shredded. Disappointed.

Plus chaud

Un peu dure a assembler, mais plus chaud que juste une toile. On en avait juste une avant qui était ''isolé'', et les 2 chiens se couchais sur le même, maintenant, il ont chacun la leur !!!
