Good switch

I got this for a rope light I use to light my closet. It works really well and the cord is long enough to reach the floor with some extra, from a normal switch height. The button has a pad on the back, I think meant for a table surface. But nothing to make it stick to a wall. This would slide around a lot even on a table top, so making the back an adhesive of some kind seems logical.

Great product

This works great with a Christmas tree. You don’t have to unplug, just tap the button and you’re done. The cord definitely should be longer for hard to reach areas but still works well.

Works well but the cord is short

This product is easy to use. It plugs into the wall and the item you want to control, such as a lamp, plugs into it. Then you press the button to turn the lamp on or off. There is a small indicator light on the lower left front of the plug that turns on when the lamp is turned on. The back of the control button has a place where it can be mounted to a wall using a screw. One downside is that 5 feet isn’t really that long and the tension on the cord from stretching it out will make it slide off the table unless you anchor it. It would be nice to see this product include a heavier base on the switch side so that it can easily rest on a table when extended the full length of the cord.

Does what I need it to do, could use a longer cord

I initially got this to control a light with a switch that was behind a dresser. Unfortunately, the cord is not long enough to use for that purpose, but I did find a spot to use it with my plants. This is well made and operation is simple. I find it quite convenient to use with a toggle power switch so I don't have to bend over every time, and with hanging plants I can use it without having to stretch for the light control. There is a light on the main outlet to show when it is in use, but there is no light on the button to control it which I find odd. Otherwise, well made, does what it is supposed to do, and convenient.

Simple and convenient, but doesn't remember on/off state

I have a bunch of devices plugged into a surge protector under my desk, but it's difficult to hit the power switch that turns everything on/off at once. This little gadget solves that problem by placing a control within easy reach. No more climbing under the desk or poking around with my foot. The switchbox has a compact design, so it generally doesn't block other plugs. The base unit has a blue LED that shows when the outlet is active, but there's no light on the tether to help you find it in the dark. The puck has a little weight to it, which nicely keeps it from sliding around. It's worth noting that this switch doesn't remember its on/off state, so if there's a power interruption, anything plugged in will remain off until you push the button on the tether. For my purposes, that's not a major issue, but I can imagine situations where it could be inconvenient. Overall, I'd give this switch a four-star rating. It gets the job done, but I would have liked to have a subtle light on the control puck, along with on/off memory.

Super handy!

I have an elliptical that is always on unless I unplug it. I want to be able to turn off the controls without reaching behind it to unplug all the time. This is perfect. I plugged it into this and then strung the switch up to the handles. I can now turn it on and off easily. This is good for if you have a light that is too high to reach the switch, or if you want a floor switch for the Christmas tree. Versatile. It costs as much as a power strip, but it's a simple adapter and switch. I'd love to have the cord a foot or two longer.

Super easy to use. Great length of cord.

This works so well. We use it for our kids so they can turn on their favorite lights without having to find the switches on the cords, etc. It holds up to a toddler stomping on it all the time!

Great little product. Awesome addition for things like lamps and Christmas tree lights.

Great little product. It's narrow enough where it won't cover up both outlets on a standard wall outlet. It eliminates the need to bend down and reach to unplug and re-plug stuff in that always seem to be in the most inconvenient places. There's a blue LED indicator on the outlet portion of it that'll tell you if it's getting power through it or if the unit is off. The tether is long enough to give you plenty of placement options and the button is a little bit weighted and rubberized on the back, just enough to keep it in place on most surfaces, and there's a screw hole in case you want to mount it on the wall. One of the things that sets the button on this thing apart from other units I've bough like this is that the button is not flush mounted. It sits a little bit above the lip of the round enclosure for it (as you can hopefully see in the picture) - in both the on and off positions - which means you can tap this with your foot unlike one other units I've bought in the past that require you to depress a button with your finger. It might not sound like much but you'll appreciate it if you end up locating the button on the floor somewhere. Only potential gripe is that there's a loud click that comes from the part of the unit that's plugged into the wall when you turn it on and off but I'm hoping that's normal for these. I'll update the review if it becomes an issue over time.
