Great tire, superior service.

In a word: BULLETPROOF.
I am an avid cyclist who competes throughout the year. I've been in search of a good pair of tubs for my new Aero carbon wheels and these Sprinters are just what I needed. I was looking between this and the top of the line Competition Tubular, however, I ultimately decided for the Sprinter after learning about the ride quality. What I didn't expect is the longevity of the Sprinter. This thing is damn near bullet proof. I've gone through an entire season of Crits and road races covering about 2,000 miles and the tires are still in good shape. ZERO flats. ZERO punctures. They have such a fantastic roll to them as well. Rolling resistance is as low as it gets and that comes in hand when you're on the 20% grade climb as well as the fast decent that will come after. I've broken my speed records on some descents with these tires on. Maybe its the aero wheels, but tires have a huge play in that as well. The only downside is not associated with the particular tire. It's just the thing with tubs. They're not easy to install. I pre-stretched these about a day and still had to really force it over the wheel when mounting. It took A LOT of force to get it over but the good thing is, I know that tire isn't going to roll off. It has enough force of a clincher on my rim, and with those layers of glue holding it in place, it would take a pretty big force to get this tire off. I'm certainly not looking forward to removing the tire, glue, and putting a new set of tires, but when the time comes, it's certainly being replaced with another pair of these.

Fantastic
This is a really fantastic tire. I used to buy Vittoria Corsa CX for years and was really tired of the leaks. Most of them were leaking quite a lot and some of them to an unusable level. With Continental, no leakage whatsoever, pump it to 130psi and days later it's the same thing. Grip seems great (Vittoria was not that good on this either) but of course you shouldn't use a such tire on wet. I live in LA and to time trial. An important thing to note is that they are exactly the width announced. I use 25mm and measure it at 25.06mm as you can see. Many manufacturers announce something and it is often 2mm off. Highly recommended! EDIT: they also last long! Awesome tire! EDIT2: years later still buying only these. My hope is that they never discontinue them and maintain the same quality. EDIT3: In 2023 I just had a bad tire for the first time. I thought I had a flat (at the 2nd ride) but looking at it closer I realized the tire blew up on the inside where the valve shaft connects to the tire, so definitely a defective tire. Since this is the first time anything like this happens and that it's hard to make statistics with a sample size of "one" (law of small numbers) I will still consider them as excellent tires, for now. If this happens again however I will conclude they probably dropped the quality. We'll see.

Good value, lacks good road feel
These tires have a couple tradeoffs. One is, they are ridiculously difficult to mount. The upside of that is once you've glued them you're confident they ain't gonna roll off... Even after flatting?? Yeah, they're that snug. Another negative is that I don't care much for the ride feel or the handling. Slightly harsh ride, and the handling is too direct. Only way to explain it is that they want to follow grooves or ridges in the road. So it's like a pulling sensation on your bars. It's it the good grip? Or maybe the compound (less forgiving) ? Another positive is that they hold air impressively well. I don't have to pump them up daily if I ride daily. Maybe every third day? Oh, and they are very affordable. Given the price... I'm giving them 4 stars. I won't be so disappointed when I get a puncture that Stans sealant won't address. I went through two sets of Veloflex Arenberg tubulars before these. Those tires are simply sublime. But they are more than double the expense... And you have to inflate them every 24 hours. Just my two cents.

Nice Ride
I had gotten away from riding Conti tubulars for some reason. After taping these on my carbon rims I'm reminded of why I used them almost exclusively in my younger years. They are supple, they feel good on corners and they are fast. These tires were also quite easy to mount on the rims. I followed the instructions that Conti supplied and let them stretch on dry rims a little longer than usual before putting them on the taped rims. Btw, tape is MUCH easier to use than glue and just as secure.

Holds all the air... for a long time!
This is not my first tubular tire, or my third, or my tenth. This is by far the best I've ever used. Hasn't flatted in about 500 miles, and holds air for over 4 weeks!

Continental Sprinter Tubular Tire - NOT reliable
Three weeks in a row, yes 3 weeks, I rode with my teammates and I got 3 cuts across the tire. I am out of three tubular tires in 3 weeks. Bad luck, I bought 2 from Amazon and the third one from Europe. I am about to order my 4th Continental Sprinter Tubular in the 4th week. I live in Orange county, ride around Fountain Valley, Pacific Coast Highway, Irvine, Mission Viejo, Aliso Viejo etc.... Is the tire great? Yes, it is quick, light and pick up quickly and rolling resistance is low as claimed. But the tubular tires got cut so easy and I am going back to clincher for sure. To be fair, 2 of the tubular are Continental Sprinter, 1 is Vittoria Corsa G+ Tubular Graphene Tyre and these tires are not cheap. I am going back to clincher tires.

Costuras internas reventadas
