Great product! In a class by itself
Great product! In a class by itself. Works great and fits my Vita-Mix perfectly. ALL STAINLESS STEEL PITCHER, BLADES THEMSELVES AND THE INTERIOR PIECE THAT THE BLADES ARE MOUNTED ATOP OF ARE ALL STAINLESS STEEL AS PROMISED. No plastic whatsoever other than the cover. It seems to me that the stabilizing base may be made of aluminum (I could be wrong) but this is okay because that is only the part attached to the bottom of the pitcher to fit it to the machine base properly and obviously has no contact at all, ever, with the contents within the all stainless steel pitcher itself. Update: STILL WORKING GREAT over a year later! So many people are asking if this fits their machine that I decided to update my review with what I think is a logical Idea. READ THIS ANSWER CAREFULLY AS I DO NOT KNOW THE EXACT ANSWER YOU ARE ASKING BUT HAVE A VERY LOGICAL WAY YOU CAN FIND OUT FOR SURE. This container couples and works PERFECTLY with the drive socket of MY Vita-Mix model 5000. All anyone out there would need to do is make sure your Vita-Mix model has the same drive socket as my 5000. You can look at pictures of replacement drive sockets for MY model 5000 and see if it is the same as whatever model anyone has. IMPORTANT NOTE : DO NOT USE THE Vita-Mix tamper with this container as it will get chopped up into your food as this container is ever so slightly shorter than the container that comes with the Vita-Mix. This container is just shorter enough for the Vita-Mix tamper to hit the blades of this container. Jesus Bless You! «

I love the idea of this container
I love the idea of this container. Stainless steel. It does appear to be steel, stainless, however, is another matter. I have had the container for two weeks and it already has rust spots near the tops of the indentations. The second possibly minor issue is that there are tiny flecks that the blender seems to be putting into the food/water. Seeing the issues with some Vitamix containers, I ran the same clear water test on this container and had similar results, though with less particles than the Vitamix containers. Hopefully this one is just a dud. It is a very nice looking container. I just want it to last for 10 years if I am paying more than $200.00 for it. Without rust and without the black specks this would be an easy 5 star. I will contact customer support and see how good their support is. Edit 1/27/2015 I returned the product to amazon and received a replacement in a fairly quick amount of time. The replacement does not have rust, so that is a big improvement. I have upped my rating to four stars still not a 5 due to price, durability concerns. I ran the black fleck test a couple more times and it has really improved.

Martha Steward (and her glue guns) Joined Waring Engineering Team
I can only guess Martha Steward must have joined the engineers at Waring as I've never seen a glue gun job on a kitchen appliance like this. Is it just me or does this screen "hack"?! I'm a little concerned that I paid as much as I did with the "seal job" on this item. What in the world guys...please tell me this is a mistake?

solid, kicks a**
I was a little concerned because of some of the reviews with unusual problems and issues with the quality of the build I'm not saying I don't believe those people. But more people come running to leave horrible reviews than positive ones given horrible vs positive experiences. I had tried the plastic one that is called raptor, or whatever. It's horrible. Absolutely useless. The original one, which I lost, had the shape of this one. Without the vortex-inducing shape the thing won't blend. You can't just run blades at high speed in an open container with no vortex structure. The job has two parts: intelligent fluid dynamics to put the material into the blades over and over, and blades and power that can pulverize and liquify. This thing feels solid and I love the high shape. The Vitamix jar, great as it is, throws a lot at the top and that has to be constantly squeegeed off every time I run it, sometimes multiple times as I check it. This one has such a high top it can't really get up there as easily. I would say that if you don't have this you aren't getting the maximum out of the Waring Extreme. I haven't tried it hot and I don't know if I will. But this feels like an industrial-strength piece of equipment and I'm glad I got it. I was trying to liquify frozen vegetables into a smoothie and the plastic one with no vortex shape left thousands of tiny particles and hundreds of big ones. This liquifies.

Good but...
Very heavy build, works well, it handles the 3hp tha machine puts out like nothing. The only negative is the price and shame this company does not offers a model with the steel cup included, buying the plastic cup and not using it is a waste

Fits PERFECTLY on Vitamix bases (home models)! But it is contain PTFE
I bought this container as a replacement for my Vitamix 5200 "BPA Free" PLASTIC containers. I found out that the claim of "BPA Free" is ONLY according to the manufacturer, NOT according to several INDEPENDENT scientists - in other words NOT paid or influenced by the manufacturer! There are several studies (US and European) that show that "BPA-Free" Easman Tritan plastic LEACHES BPA and other TOXIC chemicals. For more details and recipe demo with the Waring CAC90 stainless steel on my Vitamix base and links to the scientific studies check out my video reviews on YouTube channel under the name EcoPeaceful. Update 7/27/2015 - I do not use it anymore, because the blade assembly contains PTFE (aka teflon) and it can get into my food. Based on my research all high-speed blenders (including VitaMix) contain PTFE in the blade assembly!

Very sturdy, Safe no plastic chemicals leaching into your food
We love it. First is the fact that is not made of plastic..it is very powerful we don't need to use a tamper. The food taste great and there is no worry of having chemicals from the plastic leaching into the food we are preparing. The base is wider and it is easier to get everything from the bottom. Highly recommended
