This is a workhorse! A beast really! Not perfect though.
This is a workhorse! A beast really! I initially wanted to get theWaring Commercial WFP14S Batch Bowl Food Processor with LiquiLock Seal System, 3-1/2-Quart but this one came with the continuous feed system for the same price! Are you kidding me? That alone is over 150 dollars if you buy it by itself! The LiquiLock system is fantastic. Not needing to take out the blade when you pour is indeed a nice feature. The blade is extremely sharp, and as a chopper this works great (I don't know if you saw the video in which they chop only one garlic clove - it actually worked! The whipping disk works very well too - it makes whipping cream in seconds! The cream that comes out is so thick you can use it instead of icing! The continuous feed is a nice addition: we used it (not very often I admit) when shredding cabbage: it took longer to wash all the parts than to shred! It is fast! Everything works great, the lid and the bowl both lock into place with reassuring clicks, and they both unlock easily. Also, the way it is built, it does not trap any food in the handles or under the lid gasket, or in any other place (as opposed to the Cuisinart that I also considered). The problem I have is with the grating function. The feeding tube is too large! I didn't ever believe that I would say that, but it is too large: so large that when grating it the axle shaft from the grating disk is exposed, so when feeding large items you are effectively pushing them into the shaft instead of the disk. We are mitigating this by either cutting the items smaller, or trying to place them in such way that they don't "catch" the axle shaft. Oh, I forgot to mention: this thing is heavy! Really heavy! I have no issues with it, but when my mother visits with us and wants to use it, she will let me know every time how heavy this thing is! EDIT: I mentioned in my review, but just wanted to provide more details on this: when buying the WFP14SC you are getting theWaring Commercial WFP14S Batch Bowl Food Processor with LiquiLock Seal System, 3-1/2-Quart (it is now 410) PLUS theWaring Commercial WFP14S13 Food Processor Continuous Feed Kit (which is now almost 200), so if you buy them separately you'd pay over 600!!! This is a great value if you think you will need the Continuous Feed Kit. I also uploaded a picture to show all items included.

Well, I was lovin' this food processor until...
...I removed the work bowl from the dishwasher last night and noticed a crack in the plastic that holds the locking pin and spring. I received the food processor on February 25th, a little over month ago. This unit was to replace my 9 cup Cuisinart, which I had had for over 3 years, and the bowl never cracked. In fact, the unit still works and has found a new home with my sister, but I digress. I am out of the 30 return window, so I cannot exchange the unit. I still love the unit and the performance is stellar. I just don't understand why there's a crack in the bowl. I'm guessing this is a fluke, as I haven't read any other reviewers having the same issue. If a crack hadn't developed, I would've gave this unit 5 stars. It is a workhorse and has handled everything I've put it in without so much as a whimper. It actually can finely chop veggies without turning them into mush. I much prefer "paddle" controls vs "button" controls. There is much more control when you're using the pulse function. I love to cook and make the majority of our food from scratch (we're vegans that eat eggs occasionally from my sister's hens, which makes us not vegan, but I don't know what the term for that is). On Sundays I will make one recipe after another and freeze them for the coming week. My food processor gets a workout weekly. For me a good food processor is a necessity. And this one really has so much power that it makes every task so easy. Things that used to make my Cuisinart choke, the Waring breezes through as though it's cutting butter. So other than my issue with the cracked work bowl, I have no complaints about this machine. I will update the review if the company responds to my request for a bowl replacement. UPDATE: Received my new work bowl last week. Am more than pleased with the pleasant interaction I had on the phone with Waring and their prompt response in sending a replacement work bowl. I have been putting the machine through it paces again and have not had any issues. Am lovin' this food processor again! And due to the great response I received from Waring's Customer Service Department, I have changed the rating from from 4 stars to 5 stars.

Stopped working after 8 months of use.
After only 8 months of using this product it has broken and has to be replaced. Even worse the time to return it has passed. Not happy with this product. Will not purchase again.
