Great way to keep roller covers

Not particularly economical unless you plan to do lots of painting. Pretty good product though.

But the lid...

I was very excited to discover this product because I'd been wrapping my brushes and rollers in plastic walmart bags between coats. My roller sleeves would dry out on the ends if I didn't wrap them good enough. This is a great idea but the lid is hard to get sealed and so my roller sleeves dry out anyway. I'm thinking about just getting a roll of aluminum foil to wrap my tools. This was a disappointment.

Not for long storage

These are great for storing a wet roller overnight or even a couple of days. But no longer than that. LId easily pops off so do not store on it's side

Saved time and money

Great. I'm slowly doing a remodel in my spare time, an hour here, 4 hours there... and these things have saved me money and time that would've been spent washing or replacing rollers before or after the days and sometimes weeks in between my chances to paint. I primed some new rock in one room, and knew I wouldn't be priming again for a month, and just to see what would happen I threw the primer roller in one of these. A month later it was still wet enough to use again with no issue! No I wouldn't try such a thing with top coat of satin or gloss anything like that, but I've gone a few days with a roller in and out of the keeper with those types of paint, and a couple weeks with the flat ceiling white, no issues. One tip, the instructed method to squeeze the roller with the grips on the side of the keeper works the first time you put the roller in, when the inside of the keeper is dry, but when putting the roller in one a second time when the inside is already wet with paint, I can no longer get the grip needed to pull the roller off the roller frame. I just use a plastic shopping bag over my hand to pull the roller off the roller frame, and drop it in the keeper.

Keeps water-based paint wet.

It works well for the rollers with water based paint. The roller with oil based primer didn't do as well, but that was expected. If your painting a large area with the same color that won't be done in a day, I'd recommend these.

These keepers are the best investment you can buy

These keepers are the best investment you can buy!! If you constantly use the same color paint for certain jobs, like I do, you really need to get these. I bought my first tubes last October 2014 to try out, and have not had to buy a single new roller cover for each color since. Yes, going on almost a YEAR later and I still am using the same cover for each color I use. These keepers are awesome!!!!! I just pop the top of the keeper, insert the frame into the cover in the tube, pull out the roller and reload the cover in the paint in the tray, then paint away!!! Even the Enamel Latex colors stay usable and don't dry up. Well worth the costs!!!!!! UPDATE: I still have the same roller covers today from my original post and it is now March 2017, so that's over 3 years old for most of them!!! These things are awesome.

Brilliant!!!!

OMG, where have these been all my life. These are the best. In the past I have used Walmart bags or something like that to wrap the roller if I was going to paint again the next day. I was starting the multi-room repaint at home and was looking for a new/better solution. The idea sounded solid so I figured I would try them. I used one for my ceiling paint roller, one for the main walls and one for the accent wall. I put a piece of painters tape on the side and wrote on it what the roller was for (ceiling, white wall, blue wall). The wet rollers would stay in these things for 4-7 days before I used them again and they were in perfect shape. I would use them again and plop them back in for another week. It really is amazing. I mean, there's no magic here but being sealed from air movement and sealing in the moisture/humidity makes it do the job perfectly. I highly recommend.

Great addition to the tool kit!

Item was as described. Will help save a lot of time and rollers when painting particularly larger jobs. Bought in conjunction with the drill cleaning attachment which means my rollers will clean and stored in no time!
