So-so
I wanted to love this item & in theory I do. It’s very easy to use, so that’s a positive. It’s meant to help you take less time rolling the roller in the pan to get more paint on it to roll out your walls. I honestly think it took more time & effort because the amount of paint it uses at once isn’t a lot. When you first start pushing paint through, it appears on your walls in dots from the roller & you have to keep pushing paint through so the roller is coated & you can get rid of the dots. The plastic “shield” to keep paint from getting on other things is also really poorly designed. Paint still shot onto other surfaces & then the shield scrapes all over the wall if you are too close trying to get into a corner. Overall, I’d use it again, but I don’t know that it was any more efficient or quick than just rolling the paint from a pan.

Awesome machine with a couple caveats to be aware of
This paint roller is really cool with a couple caveats. If you have a lot of paint you need to put on the walls this will do it very quickly. You will not be painting ceilings with this unless you want to paint your own head at the same time. If you try to paint ceilings it mostly just drips down onto the floor because of the way that the paint is distributed throughout the roller. On walls it's probably three times as fast as a normal roller, it obviously still has to be cut in. I combined it with an Accu brush and overall my cutting in went down significantly as well but did not entirely disappear. The cleaning process is a bit of a pain but that's how it goes with certain tools. There's always clean up involved in painting so this is something I could have expected. It's nice to not have to carry a paint tray around, I just put the machine in a 5 gallon bucket and then set the roller on top of the bucket when I needed to set it down. Overall it definitely saved me time, I did use more paint than I would have otherwise probably but I think the labor saved is worth it.

Definitely a game changer, with a catch
This definitely saves time once you have the unit up and going. I would say the time to paint a room was reduced by 50%-70%. However, I have a few observations that may be helpful: 1) It’s not as easy to clean as indicated. You have to put the input hose into a bucket of soapy water and run, per instructions, about 10 minutes. That requires emptying the bucket at least once or twice. Further, the roller is a booger to clean with the holes that allow the paint to come through. I clean this while letting the unit run, and it always takes me much longer to clean the roller. 2) you almost always use an extension handle while painting, so the on/off button on the roller itself is not super convenient. Don’t know how to fix that unless they had a remote on/off they could provide with future models. I just always use an extension rod, and I think most do. 3) It is nearly impossible to get all the water out of the line after cleaning - so you will have some come through the hose prior to painting next time. You need to watch that and make sure it doesn’t get in your roller; then stop when paint looks to be coming out before putting the roller on. 4) Due to the time to setup, takedown, and clean, this is most useful for a larger area. I once only painted a ceiling of one room with it. I spent 3x the time with setup, clean, and takedown as I did actually painting. 5) It slings paint unlike any roller I’ve ever used - probably due to saturation of roller and coverage. I found that I need to cover everything in the room because small specs of paint will fly off the roller as you roll. 6) However, it is a very even flow of paint resulting in a very uniform finish - better than I’ve ever achieved with a manual roller alone. For this reason, I still find it worthwhile to use despite the additional time necessary for setup and cleaning. Never have a problem with coverage or an even paint job. 7) You are still using the standard nap roller that you choose to use - so you will still need to inspect the wall for small missed spots due to drywall imperfections etc like you normally would. I also find the rollers very hard to get perfectly clean, they likely cannot be reused easily. I have successfully reused only one roller. For the drawbacks I mentioned, I still gave four stars. The end result is very good quality - just need to manage job size and time accordingly.

Meh, I’m really on the fence about this product but I think I’ve made my final decision.
This is the 3rd purchase I’ve made on this product. This is so cheap, you could practically throw it away after each job. To get to the point, I think I’m going to give up on using it. I’ll probably donate them to my local donation reseller. We have a local store that is like a goodwill of home and construction products. Why would I do this? We’ll, the juice just isn’t worth the squeeze. If you were painting all day, it might be worth it. However, if you’re just painting a hour or two, the clean up is extensive. Every piece of the roller must be disassembled and cleaned. It’s just a hassle when you’re exhausted from painting. I have had good experiences but I wish it was a little better built and easier to clean. I decided on my last painting project to buy another but decided to give up after day #1. I went to Home Depot and bought a roller cover for my 18” frame and bought a 24” wide paint tray. I can paint a wall just as fast as this paint stick and the clean up is easier. 3 stars because it’s a chore to clean, built cheap but is durable, does what it claims to do but, in the end, this is just another mouse trap that’s tougher to clean.

Time saver
Great product. It goes thru the pain but definately worth while for a large room or rooms. Clean up was easy. I used latex paint and had zero issue..

Time saver
Not having to refill a roller from a paint pan saves so much time! I would have given 5 stars, but the roller drips when it’s full.

Ease of Use
FANTASTIC product. I have used it in a 5 gallon paint bucket. Coiling of the tubes is a minor issue. I ocassionally had to wipe them off. I was able to stay on the ladder longer for my 24 foot walls....very glad i purchased it!

Awesome!
I love this product. Leaves zero mess. It’s just a pain to clean, but once you’re used to disassembling it to clean it, it’s not really a problem.
