A Nice Touch
I placed the light above my Samsung Frame TV. Looks good IMO.

GOOD FOR THE PRICE
Nice looking but a little difficult to install and although I kept it, it is not the illumination I was hoping for.

Longest non wired light I could find and works well
Hard to find a light as long as this on the market. I have a painting 55in (1400mm) high and 39in (1000mm) wide. It works well on the highest setting. I have a very thick timber frame so needed to extended the arm and add a stronger L bracket. How to make up the extension: Buy a steel L bracket approx 3.5in (90mm) x 3.5in (90mm). Its good if it already has 2 screw holes pre drilled on both legs. On the supplied light and original L bracket, unscrew and remove the L bracket and discard this bracket. Find a copper or aluminium tube that fits nicely over the section which has the thump screw. I made the new tube 12in (300mm) long. Drill a hole through the new tube and use the same thumb screw to just hold the light in place. To fit the tube to the new L bracket I glued a timber dowel inside the tube near the L bracket and then squashed it a little in a vice. (makes it easier to drill then sit on top of the L bracket). Then matched the holes in the L bracket, drill holes and bolt together. Spray paint the new L bracket and tube extension with brass coloured spray can. I used the rechargeable idea that other reviewers suggested in buying the Eneloop and Miraclekoo option this works well, however I found it almost impossible to fit the 8 batteries in the compartment. I'm guessing the reason for this is the rechargeables are a little longer as they don't have the small indent like the standard C batteries have. To fix this I unscrewed the compartment and with some strong wire cutters removed half of the metal spring that pushes the batteries together. Tips: you will need to remove the light from the bracket when replacing the rechargeable batteries as it is still a tight fit. Also I bought a second charger so I can charge all 8 batteries at one time.

Absolutely Mesmerizing!
I've been looking for an appropriate cordless light to illuminate the Thomas Kincade painting that I have in my office. The painting was given to me by my wife, several years ago, and I wanted to illuminate it in a way that brings out the mesmerizing qualities of a Thomas Kincade work. After much research and reading the various reviews on Amazon, as well as on the internet, I decided upon the Concept Lighting 301L. Boy, was it the right choice! The dimensions of my painting are 36" x 28," including the frame. The actual painting itself, however, is 26" x 18." The 18" light is perfect for this size painting. Doing research on the internet, I saw that this light was actually rated as the #1 light in its class. The soft LED lights do not generate any heat or harmful rays that would potentially damage my picture. (This was mentioned in the independent internet review.) Also, the included remote allows me to turn the light on and off, as well as dim the lights, should I decide to do that. One last thing - thanks for all the previous reviewers who suggested using the Sanyo Eneloop NiMH Charger (with 8 AA and 2 AAA batteries; plus 2 C and 2 D spacers. You will also need to purchase the Miraclekoo C Size battery spacer for the Sanyo Eneloop in a pack of 6. I didn't fully understand why, but I did take the advice and it makes sense, now. Instead of having to use 8 size C batteries, you can use 8 size AA batteries, which use much less energy. Also, since they are rechargeable, they ultimately will be much less costly than having to replace size C batteries all the time! Many thanks to all of you who took the time to post your reviews. There are many of us who rely upon honest feedback and your experiences in making our buying decisions.

nice portable light for art work
originally bought their smaller 11.5" light, but found it did not adequately light the artwork (which measured 24" x 36")...so bought this one. the light works fine, though to my tastes it could be a little brighter and cover more of the picture (hence the 4 stars and not 5). but overall happy with it. very easy to set up...this larger one we installed on the wall..the smaller 11.5" one we installed directly onto the picture frame. both set ups very easy. from another reviewer (thank you very much) learned we could use miraclekoo spacers that enable you to use regular or rechargeable 'aa' batteries when 'c' or 'd' batteries are called for. very easy to change the batteries (you remove a screw that allows you to remove the light from the base). overall a nice product that saves you big $$ vs getting an electrician to install some spots in the ceiling, but again doesn't light up the art like hard wired lights would.

Quality light
For years I've been contemplating different methods of illuminating a dark painting in my dining room and concluded that short of hiring an electrician to install a dedicated wall outlet it was fruitless venture to get this picture appropriately illuminated . Recently I stumbled onto this light on Amazon and after reading the reviews decided to give it a try . I have to say that it exceeded my expectations in both terms of the Aesthetics and functionality. The light is bright enough to transform this dark picture and produces a nice warm even light not unlike some of the hardwired picture lights that I have elsewhere in the home . The picture has a very robust frame so I was able to screw the light right to the back of the frame . Remote control feature is a plus . Overall a good option especially when you don't have access to an outlet nearby.
