Emits a lot of light

This is a great battery powered art light. Emits far more light than I expected. Easy to install. I appreciate the remote it comes with for easy on/off.

Quality construction - good unit

The polished brass and overall construction is excellent. We have several incandescent, wired picture lights in the house and the quality / appearance of this unit is every bit as good as the others we have. The remote is simple to use and the brightness is more than adequate. We only need the lowest setting and the illumination is just fine. Have not had it long enough to see if the batteries hold out as advertised. Others have mentioned that the supplied wall anchor screw kit is inadequate. I tend to agree, but the unit is not overly heavy. As a precaution I used a larger anchor size. The only reason that I did not give it 5 stars is that the LED light is not as warm as incandescent. It tends to wash out colors a bit more. While I would prefer incandescent, the convenience of not having to wire this up to the household electrical is a worthwhile trade-off. With that in mind I have no problems recommending it.

Good coverage

Bought this for an art piece that is 24"w x 30"l (framed) and it works quite well. There are about 4 brightness settings and we don't even use the brightest setting. It's very attractive and the lamp housing is adjustable so that you can move it closer to or farther away from the art. It easily attaches to the frame or wall depending on your situation. I don't know about the battery life as we typically only turn it on when we have visitors or guests but we are very happy with it. Several years ago it was a challenge to find a decent battery operated picture light but this one is a big improvement. The small remote control switch is a nice feature. Keep in mind it's battery operated so if you want a powerful bright light this is not the way to go but other than that it fits the bill nicely. We're thinking of getting the larger model for another, larger, art piece.

Attractive lighting for painting & easy to install

We bought several of these lights for our paintings. We installed the lights on the frames of the paintings. The remote control works well and you can easily adjust the brightness. You can also turn on/off and adjust brightness by a switch on the light itself. The polished brass is a shiny yellow gold color. We are very pleased with this product.

Nicely made with improved remote control

Easy to install. Well made and nice looking with good range of brightness. Remote control is improved over previous models from this company. You may find the bright glossy finish a bit distracting if your frame is not also bright gold. I bought some matte satin gold finish spray from Ace Hardware and was able to repaint the unit easily resulting in a less glaring and classier finish for some of my pictures where the frame was a better match for a matte look.

Great Light but ours died after 1 year

This is a nice art light and the remote makes it even more enjoyable. However, after 18 months, and very little use, it quit working. Several new batteries and still doesn't work. I'm disappointed in the short life and the inability to find any information on the warranty or the company itself. At +$70.00 it should be more dependable. I have bought 3 of these lights from Amazon.

The remote control allows various levels of light which I like. It is also convenient to turn the light on and off. Very pleased with pirchase.
