I was surprised how easy is was to cut cantaloupe. I'm sure it will work well on watermelon.

Woah! This makes life grand.
Bought this knife because its watermelon season and our family eats it A LOT throughout the summer months. Figured I'd give this a try and see if it'd cut through a melon easier than one of my larger butcher block knives. Oh yes! It sure did! Its no exaggeration when I say "smooth like butter". I feel like a Kung Fu Ninja chopping through our watermelons now! Even like how its made to resemble a watermelon. Its nice and sleek so when I'm done using it, I can just slide it into a kitchen drawer. It washes well by hand - carefully, obviously. Not sure about washing it in a dishwasher. Haven't done that. But it's a great tool for our household and I know we'll be using it for years to come now.

Great melon knife!
I’ve debated on buying this knife but after reading a few glowing reviews, I ordered one. I wasn’t sure what to expect but this melon knife is the BOMB. I no longer have any issue cutting up large watermelons. I highly recommend you get one. I think you’ll be impressed.

Slices through watermelon
Slices through watermelon effortlessly. The blade is sturdy and effective for long-term use. I have cut six watermelons since purchasing this knife. No issues with blade dulling at this time.

Best watermelon cutting knife!
This knife is sharp, long and strong enough to cut through every watermelon. I used to dread buying watermelon knowing I'd have to cut it up but with this knife, I can cut straight through and have great even slices!

Great knife
Love the size, easily slices through watermelon - no more cutting half way across and moving the knife to finish the cut. I've also used as a cake knife, since it reaches all the way across with room to spare. It's cute too. I'd definitely buy again or give as a gift.

Exactly what I was looking for - a sharp, serrated Japanese Steel knife long enough for large watermelons. I have other knives from Kuhn Rikon and they are outstanding for the price, this model is no exception. I cut right through my finger and part way through my fingernail while using this knife (completely my fault), so I can confirm is VERY sharp!

Great long knife - cuts clean
Believe it or not.. bought it to cut perfect sections of brownies because someone recommended it online. Love it! I’m certain it will be great for watermelon too.lol Cuts clean, the sheath is great because it is sharp. Be careful cleaning it. Great knife... highly recommend.
