Good product, but runs small

Nice product but these run small. I recommend buying the next larger size and remove links if needed. It is also important for people to use these collars properly. They should be used as high up on the neck as possible, NOT down where a regular collar would typically sit. This will assure you are not choking your dog or damaging their larynx. It matters how you put them on. If you walk with your dog on your left, hold the collar and attached leash so it makes a letter "P" - not a letter "Q" as you face your dog. Putting the collar on properly will insure that it releases and loosens when you ease up. The collars really should not be called "choke" collars. They only choke when misused. A dog should NEVER be tied up to a choke collar, even if you are just going in somewhere for a minute. They should only be used with a leash, and only by people who know how to use them. It should just barely fit over your dogs head without hurting on the way on. If it is too small it will go on but be very hard to take off and may hurt your dog's ears on the way off. Remember this is not a device to help you win a tug of war with your dog. It is a device to alert your dog that you do not like what she is doing or about to do. It should be used with a quick tug and release to the side. It is to interrupt their thought process or fixation. For example as you approach a dog coming towards you and your dog is going into an excited or fixated state, give a quick tug towards you to get have your dog focus on you and not the approaching dog. Or if your dog is constantly dropping her head to sniff at everything, especially food scraps you should give a gentle correction as she BEGINS to drop her head. These are great devices to train dogs to know when it is time to "Walk" and when it is okay to sniff or do their "business."

Love this colored chain

I love this chain. It looks so good on our pup. We use it just for ID and Rabies tags. It's a little long on him but that turned out to be great for our pup. When I had webbed dog collar on him he was always scratching his neck with his hind legs. Since this collar no more scratching. I thought i would be able to modify the chain to to his neck size but all links are welded shut. It's okay he seems to be very comfortable with this length. We use a harness for walking him not this collar he is 11 years old and vet said not to use a collar for fear of collapsed esophagus. So it is more of an ID necklace. Love it and so does he.

This one a little bigger to my own dog, so I want to return it after I got it, but my friend likes color of it. Finally I decided to keep it for my friend‘s dog. Won ‘t return

Not the color shown

This was far more of a pastel mint color when I got it. Otherwise very durable, seems comfortable for him, it's okay. He only wore it a couple of times and the color is starting to look like it's coming off.

Get the color coated !

I purchased three of these for my pups. Two in "Gold" and one in Pink. The Pink has outlasted and maintained its beauty way longer than the gold collars!! My girl wears it every day, looks beautiful and loves it! my boys ended up with new collars with in 8 weeks!

Pretty and bright!!

I have a dark boxer, the collars color really looks good on her. The paint does start to chip since it's always moving, I don't think that it will chip off extremely fast and will last her a while. I will buy another just to have on hand if she were to loose it since she is always playing with the other dogs!

There is already chipped paint and most of the links don’t like up where they were welded.. pretty disappointed with the queen

Hhhmmm

the product looked amazing when it first arrived. was very happy for the first two hours the next one hour and the following days i have been less impressed. one the first day of use the paint started to flack off considering this was just hanging down from my side coming into contact with my leg i could see no reason for this. i would advise not to buy this product unless you are just going to put it somewhere safe and never us it just dont buy it

beware of allergy

Bought this for our SBT and it looked good - but the paint wore off very quickly then it looked messy. Also the dog developed a mild allergic skin reaction to the collar. Not sure if it has nickel - but the reaction settled when we used a different non-metal collar.

Disappointed

Product looked and sounded really good. Put it on my dog as soon as it arrived, looked really good. But however following morning i noticed 2 all be it small places the coating has already come off. Dont expect it to last long before it looks tatty.

red dog chain

lovely to find finally a chain that coloured instead of a plain one. however a month down the the paint has started to rub off. however still a nice buy for a change. Oh and its more pink than red

Very happy

I got this for my male SBT and I think it makes him look nice and friendly. I love the colour and it fits over his big head! Its not too heavy and came nice and fast.
