La PX1R aggiunge una svolta ricaricabile al nostro popolare modello di torcia a LED Px1. Great flashlight, but not compatible with earlier version.

I love the earlier version of this light, and I have four of them. I bought this newer version, and if I didn’t value compatibility with my earlier version, would give it five stars. It’s very bright, compact, and so far very durable. This new version uses a different battery, and a different USB connector, and the battery must be removed to charge it. This could be positive if one has a “fleet” of them, as you could swap in a charged battery and continue to use the light while the first battery is being charged. For me it’s a negative as my earlier version uses a different battery and charger. Therefore having several of the same light has no advantage over having two totally different types of lights. In addition, my other Coast lights all use a common charger. I am a huge fan of Coast products, but I think changing the type of charger was a slap in the face of dedicated Coast fans.

Already Broken 6-Mths Later; No Customer Service Follow-Up

Purchased this item in July, 2022. The On/Off/Mode Power Button is already broken. I contacted Coast directly on their website and entered a Lifetime Warranty Claim, attaching a copy of my Amazon invoice and the Instruction sheet for the flashlight. Once you enter the claim, there is NO email confirmation that they have received the warranty claim. So, who knows if they have received it. After 5-days, I still have not heard back from the vendor to initiate the warranty repair/replacement. Also, the battery life is not as good as expected. I do not recommend the product and will be replacing it with the name-brand Fenix PD35R.

Great work flashlight

I'm currently active duty military and a flashlight is one of our required items for work. This is by far the best one I've found. I highly recommend!

No micro USB port on the PX1R anymore

Coast just did something and did not disclose this to its customers in its marketing. Coast changed the form factor of the PX1 and PX1R. The new form Factor for both are now the same and is longer. This also means that the PX1R now does not have a micro USB port on the base of the light so that you can charge it by plugging the micro USB cord into the flashlight. It used to have this port but no more. Also this means that you now need to unscrew the flashlight, remove the rechargeable battery and plug into the battery directly to charge it. Amazon's website still says ... "A USB insert on the battery and tail cap allows for the recharging of the batteries either inside or outside of the light" This is not true. Really bad business decision IMO. I used to really like Coast, but now I'm rethinking this.

Great EDC flashlight.

This is the best small flashlight I have ever owned. It’s bright as heck, beam is adjustable from flood to spot, clip is firm and reversible, the rechargeable batter holds a good charge for its size, can also use AAA batteries. Can charge battery pack in or out of the flashlight. It’s slightly pricey but I would buy it again if I ever lost it!

HIGH POWER LITTLE UNIT!

Power-packed little flashlight that is easily the brightest flashlight in my flashlight arsenal. Battery life does well also. One of the best flashlights I have used. My wife & I wrestle over who takes this flashlight for night walks.

Worth it!!

I like that the unit comes with a Rechargeable pack and a back up alkaline pack. Simple on/off (without 5 annoying modes that I don’t use), bright, and durable. I recently dropped it from about 20-25 ft onto a concrete floor & the only damage was a scuff on the lens bezel. It still functions 100%. Only reason it’s not 5 stars is its price. $70 was pricey to me, but so far it’s been worth it.

very good brightness

Simple and easy to use. Click once for super bright. 2nd click for lower brightness. Couldn't get any better than this. Depending on how much you use it, battery life is still pretty good. I also like the extra battery pack it comes with and so far I have not needed to change it yet

Good flashlight, weak rechargeable battery.

As a professional pilot and aircraft mechanic a flashlight is one of the key tools we need to be reliable in all situations. This flashlight provides good light on two settings, but sadly the rechargeable battery provided is not up to the task. +-40 degrees in rain and snow isnt easy on anything and the battery pack only lasted one winter. Now a fully charged battery lasts approx 5 minutes. Save your money and buy the non rechargeable version.
