The little light that could
This is a great little light. Perfect for positioning in small spaces when working on cars. The magnetic base is more than adequate to hold the light in any position. Seems durable has survived a couple drops already the dirt and sanding dust don’t seem to affect it at all.

Small package and great features.
The magnet works well. Just remember that magnets need a certain amount of metal in order to hold strong. And, the metal needs to be ferrous and magnetic as well. Some stainless steel is not magnetic, and some may be too thin. Also, these are designed to hold the weight of the light only. Don't expect to "fish" engine blocks from your local water hole. The highest levels of brightness for the spot and flood will drain the battery relatively quickly. Use one of the two lower levels of output and you'll get into the hours of use between charges. Highest levels are really only useful is you want to see what is further away that 20 feet. Otherwise, they're just burning energy to put too much light on a small space. I'm almost always using the dimmest setting and it's working great and going days between charges. The spot setting is great for outdoors. I use it when taking the dogs out during the night to see if there's any other animals around. The flood light is my most used setting. Working in IT / OT it is nice to see colors accurately in dimly or unlit spaces. With nearly everything in a metal cabinet I can usually find a spot to stick or hang this that frees up my hands and gives me a better angle of illumination than hand held, head band style, or helmet mounted lights. This is a small unit. It fits inside my hand. It is also light weight which is very nice because I already carry enough other heavy tools. The micro USB charging port makes it convenient to charge. One note about charging is that you CAN'T charge and use the light at the same time. Personally, this makes sense to keep the battery from overheating. Last note, this is a specialized unit. Make sure it makes sense to use it for what you are wanting. If you're primarily using it to see the end of your 1/4 mile long driveway you will be disappointed. Buy a light designed primarily for super bright spot light use and batteries to keep up with that. It'll be a heavier and larger light. Probably more expensive. If you need super portable and don't have access to chargers, buy one that uses alkaline batteries so you can keep spares. That's the end of my two cents stretched into buck-fifty. Hope this helps.

Good light. Magnet should be stronger
All around good light. Magnet could be stronger though.

Battery life NFG
9.5 hours of battery life would be great if it was true. This little guy is cool & has its purpose. But nothing mor than 2-3hours of battery life at most… That’s on low & high it doesn’t matter.

Little but really bright
I wish it were a little bigger...but overall I'm pleased with this little light. It's really bright for It's size. A welcome addition to my RV for power outages.

Well Made Versatile Work Light
I really like this light. I bought it so I can use it to light up small project areas around the house and my car. So far I've used it under the sink to light up the work area when fixing sink plumbing. I've also used it at night to change my pool filter cartridge since I was able to hang it on a fence close to the pool. I like the hook on the bottom that rotates and turns to get to pretty much to any angle. The bottom also has a magnetic base which I've used to attach to my generator to light it up for servicing when we lost power for a few days. The magnet is strong and attached to my generator very tightly. In addition to the base, the body itself rotates and clicks at each angle to keep holding it at any set angle available. The light has adjustable intensity in both the spot and flood settings to match the needs of the situation. The spot setting has the whiter light that can throw pretty far (able to light up things farther away) for it's size compared to the flood setting which has a higher color rending index (CRI) light that appears softer and lights a wider area around you. The higher CRI is great for detail work like color matching and is nice to have available on this light. The light also feels solid and well made. The battery level was green indicating it already had a good charge when I first opened it, but I still plugged it into my phone charger with the supplied cord and it fully charged in 30 minutes. The charging indicator light turns green when fully charged. Overall this is a excellent light for lighting up small work areas and I feel Streamlight did a great job with this light. It does what it is supposed to do and does it very well.

Over 2 years of use
I've had this for 2 years and it has been great thus far. Only complaint is the battery life now isn't great. Maybe lasts 30mins on high. Wish there were a way to switch out the battery with rechargeable 18650 batteries or cr123 batteries. I find myself having to charge the light during a project. Yes it's annoying but it affordable and well built and doesn't owe me anything. Not afraid of dropping and breaking.
