Great for thicker yarn

Only needle i use to sewnin ends on blanket yarn crochet projects. Its nice because i dont have to wet the end and try to get it through a regular sewing needle.

Clover 3160 Darning Needles with Latch Hook Eye Work Great!

I purchased Clover 3160 Darning Needles with Latch Hook Eye to use for hiding serger thread ends. The rounded point makes them go in easily, and the latch hook eye does not catch on the threads.

Like, don't love

I'm glad I bought these, they are genius in concept. The only thing I don't like is they, very easily, get snagged in the project and can be a bear to get out. The little lever doesn't fit down tight enough, so when pulling through, the yarn you are pulling through, can get in there and stuck. But for weaving in and getting into the layers of the yarn, they are great. Just wish the lever would move up and down more so that when closed it fit all the way down, like a real latch hook does. I would but again and I use them a lot, but the struggle is real. Lol

Safe and durable

I love the size of these needles they are long enough for amigurimi projects, and thin enough to not damage the proyects, it's durable and very easy to use

Good quality product.

Well manufactured item. Purchased to thread twine through pork strips for hanging to dry. Identified from short list of needles, including those used by fishermen! Barely robust enough for this challenging task but it was a big ask. Happy to recommend for lighter tasks.

These little needles are perfect for the job

I bought these needles in order to be able to chain up a line of crochet stitching through a stiff zipper tape, so that I can sew the zipper into the jacket I'm knitting, without having the zipper ripple. These little needles are perfect for the job. I'm using an awl to pierce the holes, and then pulling a loop of yarn through with the latch hook needles. Then I can release the yarn from the needle and use my crochet hook to chain it up. While the latch is quite stiff, this is a good thing as it's not flopping about all over the place. It stays put, which is great when you're trying to position the needle for the next stitch - last thing you want is for the yarn to fall out of it. Also, it's not at all hard to use - when you want your yarn out of the needle's eye, you just let it fall to rest on the latch, and then pull the yarn ends sharply to open the latch. The latch stays open, so you can pick up your next stitch. Use your thumb and finger to close it again, and you're off. I wouldn't say these needles would be ideal for sewing very tightly woven/knit fabrics that are likely to get distorted, as the latch end is bigger than the barrel of the needle. However they are perfect for the kind of job I'm doing, which involves putting a yarn through a very small hole. They'd also be just find for weaving in ends for knitting, or darning socks, etc.

Can see with short yarn pieces.

Oh! My Gosh! These are the best since sliced bread. So easy to thread. Love the thin shaft of the needl. Can have the needle in my knitting ready to pull through the yarn, then thread the needle (especially when yarn is short). Love this, every knitter/crocheter needs this.

I have a lot of knitting projects that need to be stitched and the darning needles often have such small eyelets that you cannot thread yarn through it easily. This latch hook allows you to thread thick yarn easily.
