Worth the Price
I will buy these over the DMC needles any day. They are sturdier and it is actually not paper thin like the DMC needles, so my fingers aren't as fatigued using them. It is so much easier to thread them too, especially if you use a needle threader. The threads don't snap and break if you try to thread them like the DMC needles.

Very smooth stitching
I prefer these needles for counted cross stitch over a DMC needle. These slide much easier.

Great (Blunt-ish) Needles for Cross Stitch
These are my favorite needles for cross stitching. I've tried a few which bent right away, and I have not had that problem with these (and I hold them tightly and like a lot of tension on my Aida). The gold needles (Susan Bates Anchor Tapestry Sewing Needle, Size 24, Gold-Plated, 4 Per Package ) might end up being a little cheaper, but the gold wore off so fast, that it wasn't worth it for me. They're blunted ends, but don't make the mistake that it means they can't still puncture your fingers--stitch carefully! I also recommend having a magnet wand (likeDritz Magnetic Pin Wand ) around, in case you drop a needle. My main negative (that makes me take off a star), is that their packaging leaves something to be desired. They come stuck into a piece of black fabric wrapped in a cardboard package (with the clear window in front), however the needles are not completely enveloped (the tops and bottoms of the package are open). In transit, this means that they can come loose from the packaging and end up in the shipping box, so be extremely careful opening the box, especially if you have young children or pets about. If the company put the packages in say a tiny sealed plastic bag, that could be avoided.

High quality needle
I started out cross stitching with DMC needles, which are easily available at my local Joanns. That’s the only plus for them. They stick in the aida, drag. It’s also difficult to thread without a needle threader. The Bohin needles, glide smoothly through the Aida, never stick, never drag, I’m able to thread them easily, without a needle threader. I absolutely love the Bohin needles. Worth waiting for their delivery.

Quality Needles for Cross Stitch
Excellent quality. This is a common size needle that seems to sell out in the local craft store before I get to purchase them. Having a set of 6 is a great convenience. I will be using these exclusively for my cross stitch projects.

Needles that don't break right away!!
I got into cross stitching initially because it seemed like a cheaper hobby than knitting. While that's still technically true, I've had to spend a lot more than I originally intended just buying needles. The ones from my local craft and fabric stores feel like they're made out of graphite with how quickly they snap when I'm pulling them through. But not so with these! I've had one or two bend and even one break at the eye, but so far one pack has last me longer than THREE packs of the other brand. I guess they just don't make needles like they used to. These come pretty darn close though.

Lovely Quality
I do a lot of needlework, and these are the best needles I've used. They are high quality, with a smooth eye that doesn't snag cotton or silk flosses. The length of the size 24 is nice, not too long or too short. I highly recommend them to all stitchers :-))

Cross stitcher
I think these are my new favorite needles. The size of the eye is just perfect!
