easy to use - but need 20 minutes
I hesitated but decided to give it a try - these actually are super easy to apply, doesn't drip and doesn't stain your skin or hard surfaces, leaves your hair smooth and soft as usual, and comes in handy when you need a longer term touch up and not wanting to mess with the instant color ones that leaves your hair sticky and stiff and stains your hand if you happen to touch your hair. HOWEVER, I found that for my hair 20 minutes works best as 10 minutes barely covers the stubborn grey areas. 20 minutes and no heat or shower cap required.

Easy to use, no harsh Chemicals!
I found this product when I was away from my home and needed to do a root touchup. I have blonde hair and had a regrowth with some white hair showing so I looked around and I found this Clairol product . I ordered it from Amazon they delivered it and I have used it a couple times since finding it . I like the way it’s easy to apply. it doesn’t really make a mess on anything you just have to be careful when you’re doing it to try not to get it on any surfaces. It is not a permanent hair color it washes out every time you wash your hair. you wait 4 days, and then it gradually washes out and then you need to reapply it . I like it because there’s no peroxide and no ammonia in it I have hair below my shoulders and I didn’t want to try anything permanent because it’s much stronger so I’m happy with this product and will probably keep using it as long as I can find it and it is available on the Amazon website.

Does the trick
I think this does the job sufficiently. At first I was worried because though I purchased light brown, the gel was very dark. I didn’t realize it wasn’t the full chemical stuff. It did not do as well as my permanent touch up but I’m going to use the advice given about the heat. And I like that it can go on damp hair…so I can wash, towel it some then apply and maybe put some conditioner on the ends while I wait. Being semi permanent at least it won’t accumulate so the real touch up will look and work better.

Good product good price
It’s only semi permanent so will wash out after so many hair washes but that’s what I need. It’s very easy and convenient to apply, that’s what I like too!

Terrifying color
When I opened the packaging, I was surprised to see there was no mixing involved; that it was ready to go directly from the tube (clearly it says this on the box; in my haste I didn't register this). Once I started applying it, I was so freaked out by the intense darkness of the product, as well as the hydrogen-peroxide-rusty-metal color of what was on my hairline, worried it would leave a brassy, dark color on my hair that I immediately rinsed it out. Note: I've been coloring my hair for 25 years, primarily out of a box though recently I had been going to a salon I really like - it's just prohibitively expensive. Point being, I'm not squeamish about haircolor and how it often looks completely different in liquid form vs once it's saturated the hair and then been rinsed. The color is disconcerting for a blonde, so in the trash it went. Just didn't trust it.

I love this product...Bought it before in black. Notice a review that someone was not happy after 10 min applying then washing it out ...Please note this is not to be washed out like normal dye. Put it over the grey hair and let it dry then enjoy your day. You will know when to do it again when the color fade in about a week time. It work guys, please try it and do not add water after you apply it. I love this so much i take it whenever I am travelling so easy to use...

Tried and didn't cover the grey.
Didn't cover the grey much. 1st try I shampooed after so I thought that could be the reason. 2nd try the next day, I just rinsed out still didn't work and stained my towels. Perhaps like what the earlier reviewer shared, it needs heat to work well.
