Best leather quality, but expensive.
I bought a cheap leather band band before this one but it looked, well, cheap. Unfortunately if you want high quality leather for your Garmin this is the only one readily available. I am very satisfied with the leather quality. I like to switch my straps up often to fit the occasion and the easy disconnections of the quickfit mean I can do this in seconds without tools. It looks less like a sport watch and you can either dress it up for the office, formal events, parties, or wear it around town. Then switch the straps back to silicon when I go for a run or head to the gym. A word of caution. While the leather looks like it may last for a long time, the layers delaminated after 9 months of moderate use (a few times a week). If you are crafty you can repair it with some adhesive. I used some fabric glue and it seems to be holding. Am I happy with it? I guess so, it looks and feels great for casual to formal events. Would I buy it again? I think so. But the price and delamination issue would give me pause. If you want a great leather strap for your Garmin, this is the only game in town.

Expensive, but high quality
I got this band for my Epix Gen2 to replace the included silicone band which I found uncomfortable and not the best looking. I have the titanium Carbon Gray DLC bezel on my watch, and this band matches it perfectly. I was hesitant to purchase this band due to the high cost and a few reviews claiming the screws and included screwdriver were not high quality. I am happy to report that I had no issues adjusting this band to fit my wrist, and that the included screw driver and the screws on the links all do their jobs well. Adjusting this band was the simplest I've ever done with a metal bracelet type watch band, as most of these require using a clamp to push the pins in and out. The screw system Garmin used is far superior. Micro adjustments can be made on the clasp but requires the use of a smaller pin to adjust, as the included screw driver is too wide to push the pins in. A paper clip would have worked but I didn't have any, so a bent staple did the job. Comfort wise, the new band is much better than the stock silicone band, and is faster to take on and off with the clasp mechanism as opposed to a buckle. This new band gives the watch a more premium look and feel that arguably should have come with the watch in the first place, but I digress. The only thing I dislike about this band (aside from the high price) is not really a problem with the band itself but Garmin's offerings on the Epix Gen 2 in general. I really wish they would have offered a titanium option without the gray DLC, and without the white plastic body for more of a classic look. The metal on this watch and band is quite dark, especially when not in direct sunlight. Again, the band matches the watch bezel perfectly, so this is not a problem with the band at all, but this info may be useful to some when deciding on a watch style. I still think it looks better than before, but not quite classy enough for every occasion.

An actual titanium watch band
I have tried cheaper “titanium” bands that end up weighing as much as stainless steel. This band, though expensive, is very lightweight as metal bands go. I also really like the fact that you can remove links (mini-screw driver included) without taking it to a jeweler. Beyond that it looks sensational with my Garmin Epix and matches the bezel color spot on. The clasp seems very secure and durable. The quick fit feature allows me to change bands, but this one is so amazing I may never do that.

It’s a very nice titanium band but a little over priced…
This $300 band is nice. It looks to be made of titanium (it’s non magnetic, it’s all I could verify). Since this is an official Garmin product, I’ll take their word for it. Packaging: The Garmin watch box was sealed by 2 clear pieces of tape. All of the watches I purchased the, fenix 6 and 7 had boxes that were sealed with the same type of clear tape. The Garmin watch box was no different. The band is made in China as indicated on the box. Contents: Included in the box is a small screwdriver and the watch band. Shortening the band: It was easy to remove links to shorten the band. The included screwdriver made removing the links really easy. Everything was straight forward. Band: The color of the band matched my carbon gray fenix 7 exactly. It has a nice dark gray matte finish. The links are thick. The thing that stood out the most to me was the clasp. It has large buttons and locks with authority. It’s not coming off your wrist unless you unlock it. The edge of the band has a nice bevel to it. The beveled edges are lighter than the middle of the watch that’s not from a reflection. The $300 question: Is it worth the three hundred dollar price tag? If you are OCD and can’t stand mismatched things then it might be worth it to you. Believe me, I spent hours looking around for a band that matches the watch. This was the only option I found. Everything else out there is black. You may be better off getting the black color watch and select from a multitude of nice black metal bands at a fraction of the cost. It’s not like there is a huge difference between the carbon gray and black fenix watches. There isn’t. People aren’t going to say, “nice carbon gray color…” because they really won’t be able to tell. Let’s face it, any other “quality” band can do the same job for much, much less. If you’re not OCD, skip this band and get a nice band and pocket the $250. If you are OCD, then bite the bullet and get this band. It is a nice band. Picture #1: Left to right: Fenix 7 solar/sapphire, carbon gray with carbon gray titanium vented band; Fenix 6 pro, black with black silicone band. The picture is very close to how the colors are in real life. Yes, the Fenix 7 screen is slightly larger than the Fenix 6 screen…news to me. You cannot use a “6” screen protector on a “7” even though they are spec’d at the same size. Note: The locking clasp still has the plastic film on it. I did not remove it yet. The word “Garmin” is laser etched on the clasp. Carbon gray is a very hard color to photograph. The lighting has to be just right so you photograph the actual color and not just a reflection of the light mixed with the color. I hope this helps. .

This one should be provided as standard option for Garmin Epix gen 2
This watch band perfectly matches the my Garmin Sapphire - Black Titanium Epix gen 2. I would really appreciate Garmin could have included with their Epix gen 2 models. for a $1000 watch, why cannot include this? come on Garmin?

Silicone softer than Original supplied with watch, too stretchy.
The watchband Silicone is way softer than Original supplied with watch, too stretchy. It doesn’t feel like it will last.

Beautiful bracelet and solid.
Love the look of metal bracelets on watches, but hate the scratches. This is the perfect look and solution. The DLC coating is super strong and looks stunning. It was nice to see they put plastic tape on it. Not sure if it needs it since it's pretty much scratch resistant. I know most people put this on the Sapphire version and I wanted something different. Looks pretty slick on the basic model of the EPIX gen2...don't ya think? Highly recommended Thanks for reading.
