Very Nice Time Piece

I've wanted a pocket watch for a good while just for the heck of it. My father carried one all his life. I didn't want to spend a bucket load to have a nice watch so I chose this one. Cosmetically the watch is beautiful, excellent detail and it's jeweled inside the lid. The chain is sturdy enough for a pocket watch chain. I've had it for 48 hours now and so far the time has been dead on accurate with my computer and phone so no complaints there. The lid has a very nice spring open with a crisp closure latch and push button latch is easy to operate. The only drawback is the watch is not shock or water resistant. So don't have this watch in your pocket if you are ever caught in the rain. Country of manufacture is not listed on the watch or paper work but I strongly suspect the Big C, but then what can you buy today that isn't made in China? Hence the 4 stars. If the watch continues to keep accurate time I will we well pleased for the money spent for this watch. Yes I would recommend if you do not require a watch to be shock and water resistant.

Not such a great heirloom

For the price, was hoping it was going to be a bit more sturdy. The piece that opens to view the clock face doesn't open all the way , about 3/4 to view. I guess you get what you pay for. But was a gift, hopefully will be ok.

Perfect for a classy young man!

I purchased this as a gift for my son's college graduation. He has always wanted a pocket watch and since he likes a more traditional style I thought this one would be perfect. It is beautiful and it has a nice weight to it. It seems to be a quality watch. The case is very nice, the hinge is sturdy and the face and the numerals make it a classy addition to any outfit. It is so nice to see a young man checking his timepiece rather the his phone for a change!

Manufacturing flaw.

Didn't last one day. The bow attached to the pendant, which the chain connects to, came off. The point which set in a small depression, on the pendant are not long enough to make a solid connection.

Looks really nice

I bought it as a gift. I took it to the local jeweler to engrave and it came out really nice. It was a gift for my God son and he liked it very much. Great gift.

A Very Satisfied Customer!

This is a very beautiful pocket watch; the pictures do not adequately capture its beauty. It's well-crafted and has a sturdy feel to it. It's not too small or too large. The watchface has a swirling sunray-style pattern radiating from its center (reminiscent of the Japanese flag). This is an hierloom quality timepiece that I expect to pass on to my son or grandson.
