This is a beautiful watch and I have used it daily for about five months. My only complaint initially was that the mechanism only keeps accurate time for approximately eight to twelve hours on a full winding. I had hoped that this watch would last closer to a day as most decent winding watches do. It is very accurate and fine when it is fully wound, but due to the duration of a winding it must be set and wound multiple times a day if it is to remain that way. After the first five months of use, I found that the cover would no longer stay closed in spite of careful use. I have been told by a repair shop that it is an easy fix, but that it will continue to happen. It's kind of silly to keep spending money on a watch that will only continue to break, and it is not like this watch is that valuable, but spending $90 on a watch only to have a basic part (a part not covered by warranty at that) break is extremely disappointing.

Works as an accessory for a night or two.

I bought 9 of these pocket watches (3 of this model, and 3 each of two other models) as groomsman gifts for my wedding. Although I have no idea about the actual craftsmanship of the watches, they look fine enough to impress almost anyone. They require winding, and will not keep time without winding more a few days (I think). Resetting the time and winding them is easy enough, though. They work well as an accessory to a nice black-tie event, and will keep correct time for at least a few days (longer if you wind them every few days).

returned but will buy again

I bought this watch as a graduation gift for my husband. He loved it! We did have to return it as there was some fault where the minute and hour hands were out of sync. But we will be buying again as it is a beautiful piece and we are sure it was a fluke fault. The assistance we received on making the return was beyond what was expected! 5 separate stars for that!

Great Watch!

I love this watch. It keeps great time and has the perfect weight. The look is very simple yet sophisticated. My only comment would be that the spring and lock mechanism on the front cover is a bit inconsistent. I bought 5 for my groomsman and some open and close smoothly, while others my not have as much spring when they open, or require a good pinch before locking closed. None were bad enough to return but I have spoken with the service rep. at Charles Hubert to ask about the warranty and they would gladly fix any manufacturing defects and return the watch quickly. They were very nice and will absolutely back up the lifetime warranty. That alone makes this watch a great deal!

Feels super light.

Feels super light.. Kind of feels cheaper when its too light. Crown turning feels super springy (but easy to turn; compared to other mechanical) I would have loved if the crown is at the "12" mark for easier access of time. But overall. It is super functional and stylish, and decently affordable

Rewind!

This watch is beautiful, but remember, it's a real watch. It has to be rewound rather frequently. I suggest first thing in the morning and when you go to bed. Actually it's kinda fun to set the time and rewind. But it requires more attention that a battery-powered timepiece.

Pretty watch, poor quality

I bought this watch for my son for Christmas. It looked very nice and he was thrilled with it and took meticulous care of it. Unfortunately, the watch stopped working about 4 months after we bought it. I had a watch expert look it over to make sure it wasn't a simple fix and he recommended returning it to the company since the cost to fix it was more than the value of the watch. Of course, the problem is, it's nonreturnable. Next time I will buy locally from a store with a great return policy.
