Handy size, keeps good time, difficult to read

If you wish a size that is not for a trainman, this is the watch for you. It keeps good time. It is not as cheap as a battery-driven mechanism but it will not run down (requiring the costs of a replacement battery and installation) if wound daily, as suggested in the instructions to keep the oils flowing properly. I like a "pocket" (although hardly any pocket watch pockets are sewn into men's pants nowadays) watch; however, as I do have a battery-driven wrist watch I bought it as a second watch to carry with me so as not to be late for multiple plane trip departures while vacation traveling, but I do wear this watch as my sole timepeace when I do not travel by air. The supplied, unattractive chain should be discarded in favor of a good-looking watch fob. Because of the exposed internal workings through the face, the time is difficult to read at times, requiring attention to the sweep second hand so as not to confuse it with the hour hand.

Little smaller than I thought but has a good feel to it. Pretty impressed with this watch.

Didn’t like the crystal window on the back because I wear this watch for every day use. Was afraid it might crack. But other than that it’s a great and beautiful timepiece.

Great Watch For The Price!

I'm very pleased with my watch purchase as for functions, style, looks and price. After the pain of replacing watch batteries in all my wrist watches, I wanted to go "retro" back to the days of winding your watch nightly. In these days of searching for the correct battery, paying someone's high price to pry the watch back off and replace a battery that costs less than 50 cents to manufacture, I'm please with a step back into time (pun intended) and own this mechanical pocket watch. I recommend this item to others! Satisfied in Little Rock

Great Pocket Watch--Until it Stopped Working...

This is a really nice looking pocket watch. A little smaller than most, but that is fully disclosed in the description. It was a solid 5 starts. That is until about 3 weeks went by and it stopped working... Extremely disappointing.

Exactly what I needed

Granted, I am no pocket watch expert. This is the first one I've purchased that cost me more than $20. However it's exactly what I wanted. The right mix of quality and elegance. If I had to give it any complaint, I wish the minute and hour hands were slightly larger and easier to see. I use the stopwatch to keep track of time during performances (period pieces), and a lot of times I need to take a really quick glance at the time, so an easily read watch face is important.

Great for price

This piece is a really nice value. This watch comes with a lifetime warranty (+8 dollars shipping and handling to the company). Hopefully I won't need it but it's good to know a company stands behind their product. Most negative reviews for his type of product say these watches lose time.... well this is a mechanical watch so it is going to lose or gain a bit more time than a quartz (modern electric) watch. This piece is a moving work of art that fascinates the mind with it's ingenious movement.

I give it a 4 star just because it hold the time decently but the front cover is not even all around make me think it may be a fake but everything else is ok
